He looked pained as he watched all the wounded being taken out of the ruins.

“Doctor Jiang… I say we focus on the soldiers first,” Li, a junior medicine refiner working under Jiang Yuan, whispered in his ear. “We need to set our priorities. We’ll be safe here if they can guard the gate. Otherwise… we’ll all be dead. If that happens, all these people that we save here will still die in the end. So, how about we…”

Doctor Li laughed as he read on. “Is this supposed to be a joke? How can anyone stop an intracranial hemorrhage like that? And no one can repair a ruptured spleen without opening up the patient! And that ankle, that requires an amputation! This is ridiculous! It’s interfering with our normal procedures!”

“Zhao Qian!” Doctor Li scolded the leader of the middle-aged team doing the digging. “Who on earth did this? This is monkey business! Whoever did this, get them out of here!”

“Is it monkey business?” Zhao Qian looked troubled.

He had seen with his own eyes that with a wave of her hand and a flicker of golden needles, that beautiful young lady straightaway stopped Zhao Wu from bleeding out…
