They had never seen such terrifying power, much less imagined a single person could possess such world-destroying capabilities.

Adam seemed like a grim reaper from hell, standing alone against Eternal Jade Dynasty’s entire army with just his own strength.

"Is... is this real?" a general muttered, voice full of disbelief and fear.

"Lord Zeon, he... he actually..." Another general was so shocked he couldn’t form a complete sentence, eyes full of awe and reverence.

As for Adam himself, he seemed to be in another world entirely, his heart held only a thirst for peace and a persistence for victory.

He continued to manipulate the Evil God’s power, beating back Eternal Jade Dynasty’s army in successive retreats, until finally, not a single soldier on the entire battlefield dared to step forward, he was the only one left standing, surrounded by dead silence and desolation.

At the rear of the grand army.

Emperor Vorian also turned pale with fright, he had never thought Red Spear Dynasty possessed such a powerful existence, nor expected to suffer such utter defeat, his heart was filled with fury, but even more so, dread toward Adam, he knew he had no way of retreat and could only brace himself to continue fighting.

However, Adam did not give him this opportunity, he slowly walked toward Vorian, every step seemed to tread upon Vorian’s heart, making him feel incredibly heavy and oppressed.

In a flash, Adam appeared before the Eternal Jade Dynasty ruler.

Adam stopped, he looked coldly at Vorian, eyes devoid of the slightest ripple.

"You’ve lost, withdraw your troops," his voice was calm and aloof, as if merely stating a fact.

Vorian’s face turned pale as paper, he asked with a trembling voice, "Who... who exactly are you? Why do you possess such terrifying power?"

"That is not important, what is important is that you withdraw your troops," Adam said indifferently, "Otherwise, all of you will die right here."

"I... I cannot retreat, once you grow even stronger, we will only be in more danger, by then, we will die all the same."

Adam furrowed his brows slightly, "I sent you a message earlier, stating we would not provoke a war, we only wanted to develop and sign a truce agreement, we withdrew our troops, but you deliberately provoked hostilities."

"We had no choice, we could not just watch helplessly as you grew stronger day by day," the Emperor glared with wide eyes, looking at Adam without the slightest fear.

"Enough, as long as I am here, they will not attack you again, furthermore, I will come to your dynasty to help you build and develop," Adam took a deep breath.

"Whether you believe me or not is unimportant, because even if you refuse, the only ending waiting for you is annihilation."

The Emperor opened his mouth but ultimately said nothing, he knew Adam made sense, in the face of absolute strength, what other choice did they have?

Vorian’s army receded like the tide, leaving behind a devastated battlefield and heavy hearts, although Red Spear Dynasty’s soldiers had won, the joy of victory did not linger long, replacing it was confusion and unease about the future.

The news quickly spread throughout Red Spear Dynasty, when the common people heard Eternal Jade Dynasty had withdrawn, they breathed a sigh of relief, but soon after, sorrow and anger rapidly spread, the agony of losing loved ones and the hatred of having homes destroyed made it impossible for them to remain calm.

"Lord Zeon, how could you let Eternal Jade Dynasty withdraw so easily? Our loved ones, our homes, did they sacrifice for nothing?" An old woman who had lost her son knelt before Adam, face covered in tears, voice choking with sobs.

Adam remained silent, he knew full well what a massive disturbance his decision had caused, he slowly crouched down, gazing at the old woman with those profound eyes, and said softly, "Old lady, I understand your pain, but war only brings more suffering and death, what we pursue is long-lasting peace, not momentary revenge."

"Peace?" The old woman raised her head, eyes full of doubt, "If this is the price of peace, then I would rather not have it, I want the people of Eternal Jade Dynasty to pay with their lives."

Adam sighed, he knew his words could not immediately quell the anger of the commoners, he stood up, gaze sweeping over the crowd, and said in a deep voice, "I understand how everyone feels, please believe me, everything I have done is for the future of Red Spear Dynasty, I will seek justice for those innocent lives lost, but it will absolutely not be through war."

However, the people’s emotions had become difficult to control, they began questioning Adam’s decisions, some even started organizing to resist the policies he had set in place, for a time, Red Spear Dynasty experienced unprecedented internal upheaval.

Facing the indignation and incomprehension of the people, complex emotions surged in Adam’s heart, he knew words alone were hard to heal all the wounds, let alone change things immediately, but even so, he did not shrink back, the conviction in his heart grew even firmer.

Adam began frequently appearing in disaster-stricken areas, personally participating in reconstruction to prove his determination with practical actions, he used his wisdom and power to accelerate the clearing of ruins, helping people rebuild homes and restore production, despite such hard work, those families who had lost loved ones still harbored deep resentment.

One day, Adam stood before a newly rebuilt village, watching the busy and exhausted villagers with mixed feelings, a middle-aged man angrily marched up to him, eyes completely red, voice trembling, "Lord Zeon, you are right, we have new houses and new fields, but can these bring back my lost son? Do you know how I spend every night? I listen to the wind, imagining it’s my son crying."

Adam’s heart tightened, he slowly lowered his head, gaze full of apology and compassion, "I know I cannot make up for the pain of losing your loved ones, but please believe that everything I have done is to prevent more families from suffering the same tragedy, there are no winners in war, only endless pain and destruction, I hope through my efforts, such suffering will not be repeated."

The middle-aged man became even more agitated, "So what? Who will bear our pain? Who will wipe our tears? What makes you think your approach is right?"
