"Alright, when do we set off?"

"Now, the others have already agreed!" The Book Saint’s voice rang out immediately, although he had drunk wine yesterday, it didn’t affect his efficiency in the slightest.

Yesterday’s banquet was meant to give everyone a chance to relax, although they had gathered to resist the Heavenly Court, in truth they all harbored varying degrees of fear in their hearts, that was the Heavenly Court, after all, it had ruled this world for countless eras, and the powerhouses within were terrifyingly strong, he needed an event like this to ease everyone’s tension while showing them that their side’s strength was continuously climbing.

"Now?" Adam was slightly taken aback, but quickly realized this was to make the most of their time, very little remained before the war commenced.

He swiftly got up and gave Cecilia instructions to wait in the camp, for this trip, her cultivation realm was simply not high enough.

"Adam, we are waiting for you outside the military tent," the Book Saint’s voice echoed again, then faded.

Adam didn’t dawdle, he left the tent and dashed outside.

The Book Saint, Liber, was already waiting there, the other six peak Ninth Heaven Deity Realm experts were also present. Crimson, Cassius, and Aria were among them, the remaining three were native to the Mysterious Yellow Great World.

Adam greeted them one by one and quickly integrated into the group, although they came from different factions, their common goal and enemy kept them from being too estranged from one another.

"Everyone is here, let’s set off." The Book Saint didn’t delay further, he led the group and flew toward the Ten Thousand Spirits Mountain Range.

In the later stages of the heaven and earth mutations, deep within the mountain range, the spiritual energy was so dense it was almost liquefying, rare spiritual herbs and beasts could be seen everywhere.

The group advanced slowly, careful not to disturb the creatures, sensing the powerful auras from Adam and the others, the beasts didn’t dare approach either.

The Ten Thousand Spirits Mountain Range did not permit teleportation, this was a strange rule added after the heaven and earth mutations, so they could only travel on foot.

After trekking for several days, they arrived at the entrance of the Ancient Holy Spirit Land.

A massive stone gate stood tall before them, entirely covered in mysterious runes and patterns.

The Book Saint stepped forward and spoke in a deep voice. "Everyone, we will now enter the Ancient Holy Spirit Land, it is a sacred cultivation ground left behind by ancient Saint Realm powerhouses, although it contains the profound mysteries of becoming a Saint, it is equally filled with unknown dangers, I hope everyone can work together to face all challenges."

"You’re so good with words now, so why were you like a mute in front of me back then?" Aria spoke up suddenly, her voice laced with faint resentment.

The Book Saint’s expression froze instantly.

"Things were different back then, and besides, when did I not speak?"

An awkward look appeared on his face.

"Fine, then let me ask you, what did you answer when I asked you a question back then?" Aria’s beautiful eyes continued to stare fixedly at him.

"Uhm... well, at that time I answered..." His tone became stuttering.

Everyone turned their heads in unison, pretending not to see this awkward scene, Cassius and Crimson even turned away to chuckle secretly.

Back in the day, the Book Saint had been an absolute playboy in their Realm, harvesting the hearts of countless female cultivators, that naturally included Aria, who at the time was only an ordinary female cultivator of the Azure Water Palace.

It was said that one night, the Book Saint had invited Aria to watch the stars over the water, spending the entire night doing just that.

Yet the next day, when Aria asked what kind of relationship the two of them shared, the Book Saint uttered a single phrase. "Just friends!"

It had almost made Aria draw her sword right on the spot.

Watching this, Adam’s mouth twitched, he had never imagined the Book Saint would have such a dark history of scandalous past blunders.

"Ahem... Aria, let’s discuss this later, let’s enter the Ancient Holy Spirit Land first!" The Book Saint offered an awkward smile.

Her sudden questioning made the atmosphere somewhat delicate, under everyone’s gaze, he quickly adjusted and dragged the topic back to the task at hand.

"Fine, but you promised to accompany me for three days, no going back on your word!" Aria withdrew her look that seemed like she wanted to swallow the Book Saint whole.

"Huh? When did I promise that?" He froze, puzzled.

"Alchemist Adam said so, as long as I came to help you, you would accompany me for three days, do you want to back out?" Aria frowned.

Adam’s heart skipped a beat, crap, I got dragged into this!

"No, he said it, not me! I never said any such thing!" The Book Saint widened his eyes, glaring at Adam with killing intent.

"What do you mean? Are you saying Alchemist Adam would lie? Impossible! You shameless fellow, trying to worm out of it again!" Aria’s expression darkened further.

"You just wait, I’m going to tell the entire army about your romantic scandals!"

Ever since she discovered Adam was a super grandmaster alchemist prepared to teach her, her impression of him had skyrocketed, she trusted his words implicitly now.

"No, I’ll accompany you! Isn’t it just three days? Once the battle is over, I’ll accompany you!" The Book Saint spoke hurriedly, the image he had built before the entire army must absolutely not be ruined now.

Adam hadn’t spoken the entire time, standing off to the side watching the show.

Anyway, you, Book Saint, said it yourself, as long as they came to support, any condition was fine, can’t even spare three days of company? And she’s a great beauty at that, how are you being shortchanged?

"That’s more like it, consider yourself sensible!" Aria snorted coldly.

"Sigh, everyone get ready, I’ll send you in." The Book Saint sighed, he was clearly the strongest Saint, so why was he acting so humble?

The Book Saint’s helplessness and awkwardness reached their peak in this scene, but he also understood that this was suffering brought upon himself.
