Gwen giggled and cuddled into Go Biqing’s arms, saying, "We’re both the best, so you must always care for me like this in the future."

Seeing this scene, Murong Qing felt somewhat envious, wishing she had a brother like that to care for her. Her and Zhou Jiaying’s evaluation of Go Biqing probably rose another notch. After all, Murong Qing mentioned to Zhou Jiaying last night that Gwen is Go Biqing’s half-sister, even the daughter of his father’s mistress. Yet, Go Biqing didn’t despise or look down on her at all; instead, he adored her dearly. Such a person might be somewhat foolish, but at least it shows he highly values family bonds, which makes him come across as someone trustworthy.

After washing up, the four of them went out and walked along the road to the school. They walked leisurely, treating it as a stroll since they’d just eaten.

After walking for a while, it was getting late, so Murong Qing said goodbye and left. Then, Go Biqing and Zhou Jiaying, accompanied by Gwen, arrived at the East Lake.

In fact, Go Biqing specifically brought Gwen out today because when he heard Murong Qing’s arrangement yesterday, he considered that he and Zhou Jiaying weren’t familiar with each other. More accurately, she wasn’t familiar with him. So, a man and woman alone might feel awkward, but if Gwen came along, it would make things easier.

Even Zhou Jiaying was taken aback, but she quickly recovered and added, "Go Biqing, you could come to my dad’s company, and I’ll introduce you."

Despite having nothing now, Go Biqing had his dignity. Accepting Zhou Jiaying’s offer would mean he’d never have the chance to pursue her. It would be a kind of inner inferiority.
