Chapter 314: Abomination
Elysia’s face became devoid of emotion as her gaze became tranquil.
She slowly raised two fingers, "You made two mistakes."
"Oho?" Elwood and Sylvanna tilted their heads simultaneously, their eyes oozing with interest.
They giggled before asking, "Please enlighten us~."
Elysia’s voice resounded once again, "The first one: Elwood and Sylvanna would never disturb me while I am praying. They would not even dare come within ten meters of me."
Her eyes narrowed slightly.
"Yet you walked right up to me without hesitation. Your footsteps were neither softened nor restrained, and you interrupted my prayers without the slightest regard."
"Oh! That’s it!"
Elwood scratched the back of his head with a look of realization on his face.
Due to the constriction of the wisterias and the forceful movement of his arm, his bones made loud cracking noises as they shattered, yet his expression did not change one bit.
On the other hand, Sylvanna’s gaze oozed with more curiosity, "How about the second reason? I’m curious! Really curious!!"
"The second is the fact that Elwood and Sylvanna..."
Elysia bit her lip as she continued, "Would never call me ’Your Holiness’."
"Is that so..."
Elwood and Sylvanna’s expressions became in sync once again.
This time, they looked like they were trying to remember something as they lowered their heads, making Elysia’s heart quiver.
Then, after a few moments, Sylvanna raised her head, her face normal and looking pitiful, "Ely... I’m sorry..."
"Ely... we didn’t mean to. T-That demon, she manipulated us!"
Hearing their voices, Elysia’s pupils constricted as her heart began pounding.
Elwood and Sylvanna’s current behavior, gestures, expressions, eyes, and everything about them were just as she remembered when she was still a child.
In an instant, memories of the times she spent with them flashed in her mind.
The time when the three of them played together and were scolded by the elders for being too mischievous.
The time when they hunted beasts deep within the forest and sat around a bonfire, laughing as they exchanged stories.
The time when they entered the Elven Royal Academy and dreamed of the futures that awaited them.
The time when she was crowned queen, while Elwood and Sylvanna became the heads of their respective families.
And finally, the time they spent in the Temple of Life, where, despite her status as queen and pontifex, they continued to treat her as the same childhood friend they had always known.
Elysia’s mind was currently on the verge of breaking down.
She clenched her fists until her knuckles turned white, her heart quivering as explosions of emotions rang inside her head.
Her heart pounded against her chest, which felt like an earthquake inside her soul.
"I-I don’t..."
Elysia stammered, much to the joy of Elwood and Sylvanna, who were watching her expression with gleeful smiles.
"As expected of demons."
A lazy voice echoed in the area as the wisterias on the two’s bodies, that had previously stopped due to Elysia’s unstable emotions, began writhing again.
This time, they became even more aggressive, like starving snakes.
Elwood and Sylvanna’s eyes flashed with anger and hatred as they shouted, "Y-You damned spirit! This is all because of you!!"
A small figure, wearing a witch dress and a wide-brimmed cone hat, manifested on Elysia’s shoulder.
Her languid purple eyes gazed at the two from above as she snickered while raising her hands.
In an instant, the wisterias on Elwood and Sylvanna’s bodies drained their blood.
It did not take long before their bodies merely looked like shattered bones covered in skin.
Despite this, the two’s expression only had hatred, as they did not even let out a single pained groan.
Instead, a piercing, inhumane shriek rang from their mouths as a surge of demonic power covered their bodies, instantly making the wisterias fall off as they withered.
Under the overwhelming demonic power, Elwood and Sylvanna’s bodies fused into a grotesque, two-headed monstrosity with four arms and four legs, reduced to little more than skin and bone.
The abomination stood like a distorted centaur, its extra limbs supporting its unnatural frame.
Both heads tilted in unison, their mouths stretching into identical ear-to-ear smiles in a way no human expression should.
The whites of their eyes had turned pitch black, while their irises burned a deep crimson.
Blood tears seeped from the corners of their eyes, trailing down their faces like living wounds.
The transformation left it looking nothing short of a creature torn straight from a nightmare.
"N-No!"
Seeing what became of the two people closest to her, Elysia’s mind instantly broke down.
"No! No! No!"
The spirit on her shoulder, Wisteria, clicked her tongue as she looked at her contractor.
’No matter what I do or say, I’m sure she won’t even hear me...’
For the first time, Wisteria’s lazy expression was replaced by extreme worry for her Elysia, her contractor, and her closest friend.
The abomination looked at her, its two mouths smiled and spoke at the same time, "Little spirit, what are you going to do now? Your contractor’s already broken~."
"Ugh, shut up," Wisteria caressed Elysia’s cheek as she glared at the abomination.
Her voice was tinged with irritation and annoyance.
Hearing her words made the abomination wonder internally, ’Strange... That little spirit isn’t showing even the slightest fear.’
For a spirit to fully utilize her powers, the contractor’s cooperation was needed.
Now that Elysia was frozen in place as she had a mental breakdown, the abomination could not help but wonder what strange trick Wisteria had up her sleeve.
"Continue bluffing, little spirit... We’ll feast on your contractor in the meantime. Hehehe~"
Seeing the long, pointed tongues that slithered out of the two heads’ mouths like snakes, Wisteria could not help but shiver, "Disgusting!"
SKREEE—-
The abomination let out a grating screech as it lunged forward.
Wisteria’s face still did not show any hint of fear as she loudly shouted, "Regis!"

"?"
Just as question marks filled the abomination’s mind, the world began turning upside down in its eyes.
Plop! Plop!
Both of its heads fell to the ground.
’What!?’
All it did was blink, and it had already been beheaded in the next second.
All it took was an instant.
It gazed in the direction of the broken Queen of Elves and her spirit, but what greeted its sight made its pupils dilate.
Standing in front of Elysia and Wisteria was a young man with neatly combed white hair and blood-red eyes that were an even deeper shade of crimson than its own.
The young man played with the iridescent blade in his hands with a nonchalant expression.
’I-I didn’t sense him... All I did was blink, and he’s already there!?’
This time, it was the abomination’s turn to have a full mental breakdown as fear gripped its heart at the thought of dying faster than the blink of an eye.
