Glorietta still couldn’t bring herself to believe what she heard.

However, Doron’s serious expression showed that he wasn’t joking, "What I’m saying is true..."

"Can you believe it...?" He let out a soft chuckle as he continued, "For a kid who was no older than ten years old to defeat a Master Warrior?"

Of course, there was one thing that Doron purposely left out: the fact that Regis was able to fully utilize demonic power.

The fact that the kid he saw back then was no less than that of a pure demon.

"Wait..." as if remembering something, she looked at him and asked, "If there’s such a child who was so talented, then why didn’t you bring him along with Dahlia?"

An awkward expression appeared on Doron’s face as he replied, "Well, the situation back then was... how can I describe this? Special? Yes, the situation was very special..."

Seeing his reaction, Glorietta didn’t ask any further questions as she only kept her silence, ’I want to ask for details, but it’s clear that he won’t speak anymore about this...’

Still, the thought of someone so young being extremely talented made it difficult for her to believe.

’It’s too good to be true, but if Regis, that boy, is really as talented as Doron says... then it might be possible... Right, if it’s him, it will be possible.’

Glorietta thought as she looked at the clouds slowly moving across the clear blue sky.

In the heart of the Holy Kingdom, Ligera...

A massive church of white adorned with gold stood tall as if trying to reach the sky above.

It was none other than the Grand Cathedral of Light, the headquarters of the believers of Lemetina.

The emblem of a cross could be seen clearly on the flags that littered its surroundings, symbolizing its power and grandeur.

A path made of what looked like white marble also connected it along with the other buildings that were spread throughout the area.

Flowery bushes adorned the sides of the white marble path, bringing a touch of elegance to its monotonous aura.

Numerous groups of holy knights could also be seen patrolling the perimeters.

Aside from their silver armor, they also had cloaks of different colors that entails what rank of holy knight they were.

The holy knights with the most numbers were the one wearing a cloak that was mostly gray with a touch of white and gold.

Their number was followed by the holy knights wearing a maroon cloak with hints of white and gold.

And finally, the holy knights that are the least in number sported a navy blue cloak with white and gold adornments.

Tap— Tap— Tap—

At this moment, a girl with short black hair wearing a black uniform was running along the white marble path.

Like the cloaks of the holy knights, her black uniform also had touches of white and gold as well as an emblem of a cross.

"Goodmorning, Madam Raven!!"

The group of knights that the girl passed by all greeted her without delay.

"Hi! Goodmorning to you too~"

The girl with short black hair, Raven, smiled at them as she stormed off.

Sweat was obvious on her little face as her eyes were filled with excitement, her lips were also curled into a small smile.

It only took her under half a minute before she arrived in front of the massive church’s entrance.

Two holy knights were also stationed on each side of the entrance, but they don’t have cloaks over their armors.

All they were wearing was full silver armor that covered their whole person.

Raven didn’t spare them a glance as she composed herself, ’Calm down, calm down, it won’t be good if they see me like this...’

After a few cycles of breathing exercises, she held her breath and straightened her posture.

Then, she pushed the double doors that radiated grandeur with both of her hands as she entered.

Tunk—

"Ehhh?" Raven was speechless as she saw numerous pairs of eyes directed on her.

Unable to lift up her head, she hurriedly went over and lined up along with other people who were wearing the same uniform as her.

Raven swallowed the embarrassment that threatened to kill her and whispered, "What happened?"

The tall man with pointy ears beside her snickered, "You’re lucky the Pope has just finished saying his long goodmorning. Besides, why are you late?"

"I overslept..." Raven said as she maintained her poker expression.

The tall man with pointy ears merely smiled before whispering as if trying hard to prevent his excitement from showing on his face, "Anyways, can you believe it? The Executors are all here!"

"Yeah, I can see that. Shut up now, Theodore." Raven whispered with a spiteful voice as her eyes wandered over to the center of the Grand Hall.

The tall man with pointy ears, Theodore, calmly rebutted, "Are you on your strange human period again? Sheesh."

***

The Grand Hall where most meetings between high ranking officials of the Temple of Light happens.

Material that was as white as snow was used to build the interior, showcasing both grandeur and elegance.

A golden carpet was neatly arranged in the center, from the entrance that led to the platform where a throne was present.

Creative hand-painted murals could be seen on the ceiling of the Grand Cathedral.

There were babies with angel wings, as well as different types of angels and beings with golden halos above their head.

The murals radiate a sense of holiness, as if trying to tell a wonderful story.

However, the most eye-catching was the large altar with a giant cross that could be seen above the throne.

Furthermore, the one holding a cross was an extremely beautiful statue of a woman with angel wings sprouting from her back.

Her face couldn’t be seen as it was covered with a faint glow of white light.

But just the texture of the statue would surely make one wonder how skillful the sculptors that made it was.

At this moment, sitting on the throne was an elegant old man.

He had a head full of white hair and eyes that were like the blue sky, wearing a white robe which was adorned with golden inscriptions.

On his left hand was a golden scepter that was about two meters tall.

It was none other than Pope Hagios.

Pope Hagios looked at the six people that were kneeling before him with their heads lowered respectfully.

The six people were all wearing armors beneath their pure white cloak adorned with golden engravings.

What’s stranger was the fact that they all seemed to be of different races.

Some had pointy ears, some were short and bulky, some had fur, while some were humans.

They were people with the highest position besides the Pope: The Executors.

Then, with a graceful smile on his face, he stood up.

One could notice that the two meter staff could only reach up to his shoulder due to how tall he was.

"I’m glad that you are all able to attend this emergency meeting despite your busy schedules. Particularly those who were on an excursion. For this, let me apologize."

Seeing him slightly bow his head, the woman at the center spoke with a flabbergasted expression, "We aren’t worthy to receive your bow, Your Holiness! Please raise your head..."

"Anna is right, you don’t have to do this, Your Holiness. We’re glad to be of help to you!!"

"Please raise your head, Your Holiness!!"

...

The kneeling executors all protested with worried expressions.

"Haha..."

Pope Hagios let out a soft chuckle as he saw their distressed faces.

"Still, I want to express my gratitude to all of you. May the Goddess Lemetina bless you, The Executors of Heavenly Virtues, with her holy light!!"

The strength in his voice was apparent as light seemed to fall from the ceiling, bathing the six executors.

This lasted for about a minute before the light began to fade away.

"Thank you, Your Holiness!!"

The executors said simultaneously as they bowed their heads towards Pope Hagios.

However, his expression became serious in the next second, "I believe that you all have an idea as to why I gathered you here..."

Hearing his words, solemn expressions appeared on the executors’ faces.

"The demonic humans have been active again recently, so I want you all to be even more alert from now on. In order to make sure that we’ll be able to respond immediately to any attacks, I must put your excursions on hold for now."

"We must focus all our power in Ligera to ensure that we can respond to anything those demons are planning."

"In normal situations, it would be best for you to spread out, but due to the recent devil summoning, we can’t risk any chances."

At this moment, another executor commented, "If only Mehar is still here..."

Her pointy ears slightly drooped as melancholy became apparent on her voice.

Hearing her, Pope Hagios spoke in a sorrowful tone, "Yes, that’s another agenda for our meeting today. We must find another candidate worthy of the late Mehar’s position as the Executor of Benevolence..."
