Arthur had been afraid that this forest might contain mythical grade bosses. He had tried to deny that thought because mythical bosses only appeared inside domains. Yet right now, he was standing directly in front of one, and it was a level 60 mythical boss.

“Maybe I should just run!” Arthur thought desperately. With his all out damage, he could produce around one billion damage at most, while this monster possessed a terrifying ten billion HP. Even if he exhausted everything he had, killing it would be incredibly difficult.

Besides, the base damage value of this monster was probably above one billion. With its skills added to that overwhelming power, Arthur stood almost no chance at all. His shadow army could be revived using his mana, but he himself could not do the same.

If he died, everything was over.

Boom!

Arthur immediately turned around and ran in another direction as if his life depended on it. However, before he could get far, his expression changed drastically.

To his horror, the enormous orc suddenly teleported directly in front of him and swung its gigantic stone hammer. Arthur dodged the hammer by a hair’s breadth, but the resulting shockwave was so powerful that his body was blasted away like a rag doll.

He crashed heavily into the ground, losing nearly 99% of his HP in that single attack. That meant almost all of his attributes had been stripped away. He was left with only around 2,000 points in total.

His body trembled violently as he struggled to breathe, and he realized that he was standing on the very edge of death. Blood was flowing from all his orifices as he lay helplessly on the ground.

“Is this the end? Am I really going to die? Was I too reckless to choose all those tasks and combine them together?” Arthur muttered weakly. His vision began to blur, and even the enormous figure of the mythical boss slowly became indistinct. “Damn it.”

[Ding! You have lost more than 99% of your total attributes. The hidden requirement has been fulfilled. The ultimate class skill, Descend of the Shadow God, has activated.]

[Ding! The skill will remain active for 20 seconds.]

The moment Arthur heard the notification, an immense force suddenly erupted inside his body. It surged through every cell like a tidal wave, restoring his strength and filling him with an indescribable sense of power. For a brief moment, Arthur almost felt omnipotent.

He slowly stood up from the ground and looked toward the mythical boss. Just moments ago, that enormous titan had felt like an unreachable god to him. Now, however, Arthur felt as though he could crush the monster like an insignificant bug.

He took a single step forward. In the next instant, his figure disappeared. He had instantly broken through the speed of light and appeared directly in front of the titan.

“Die!” Arthur roared and clenched his fist.

Boom! His fist struck the titan.

The enormous mythical boss did not even have time to resist. Its gigantic body disintegrated on the spot, completely erased by the overwhelming force behind that single punch. Arthur stared at his own hand in disbelief.

“Holy shit! Did I just vaporize a demigod level entity?”

He checked his status imm

[Stats]

[Name: Arthur Miller (Shadow God)

Level: Primordial

Vitality: Eternal

Strength: 100 Universe

Defence: Unbreakable

Agility: 10 billion light years per second

Mana: 10 Universal Quantity

Spirit: 100 Decillion]

Arthur almost collapsed from shock. “What kind of stats are these?” He stared at the status panel with disbelief. These attributes were so absurd that he could barely comprehend them.

Was this truly the strength of the Shadow God and the other Primordial Gods? Arthur gulped down his saliva, unable to hide the shock in his eyes.

[Ding! You have killed a level 60 mythical boss, finishing the task early.]

[Ding! You have gained the title, God Slayer. It provides a 50% discount on everything in the system shop.]

[The title will also provide a 3 times boost to your total attributes when your HP falls below 20%.]

Arthur’s eyes widened when he saw the rewards. Before he could think further, a portal suddenly appeared in front of him. Arthur stepped inside without hesitation.

When he came out on the other side, he was already standing on the ground floor of the Omega Shelter. His Shadow God form vanished completely.

The overwhelming strength disappeared from his body as well. Arthur suddenly felt as if every ounce of energy had been drained from him. His knees weakened, and he was about to lose consciousness.

Fortunately, he swallowed several higher grade potions together. The potions alone had cost him around 100,000 Divine Gold. Only after consuming them did he begin to feel slightly better.

Arthur sat down on the ground and started meditating. “What was that? An ultimate skill? Descend of the Shadow God? Can I use it whenever I want?” Excitement immediately bubbled inside him.

He closed his eyes and attempted to activate the skill again. Nothing happened. He tried again, but still nothing happened. After several more attempts, Arthur finally gave up.

“Maybe it can only trigger when I’m facing a certain death situation,” he figured out. “Well, I’ll think about it later. I survived, and that is all I need to know right now.”

Arthur then remembered his current financial situation. He needed 48 million Divine Gold, but he only had around five million left.

“Looks like I need to buy another Divine Dungeon Key,” he muttered.

He purchased another key from the system shop and sent his entire shadow army inside. He needed money now, and there was no time to waste. With their current strength, his army should be able to earn around 400 to 500 million Divine Gold every 60 rounds.

After sending them inside, Arthur stood up from the ground.

“System, has the Sun Kingdom map opened yet?” he asked.

[Ding! Not yet.]

Arthur sighed and glanced toward the auction. He had gained another 10,000 Royal items, but even that was still not enough to solve his current problem. Therefore, all he could do was wait.

Three hours later, a notification finally arrived. His general had already sent him 50 million Divine Gold.

“Good. It’s time to gear them up and meet the merfolks,” Arthur said with a smile. He immediately sent messages to everyone who was still outside, instructing them to return after becoming accustomed to their newfound strength.

Arthur also went to the ninth floor. He did not have to wait long before everyone returned.

“Brother, we all leveled up to 25 and allocated our attributes. What should we do now?” Victor asked. “Have you gotten accustomed to your strength?” Arthur asked.

“Yes. We have,” Victor replied.

“Good. Log out now.”

Arthur logged out immediately, and everyone followed him. Their consciousness returned to their bodies inside the private plane.

Arthur then distributed their newly acquired equipment. Each set contained four high tier Epic items, giving everyone a significant increase in combat power.

“Gear yourselves up and be ready. We are about to reach our destination,” Arthur instructed. After giving them the equipment, Arthur finally closed his eyes and leaned back in his seat.
