Chapter 1232 - 606: Taimola’s Glimmer of Fate

The sea waves surged and crashed into fine white sprays.

The sea breeze, carrying the mist of the morning light, was shattered by the prow statue of the Colorful Winter Wolf, roaring as it broke through, echoing as a faint whistle in the air.

Xia Nan stood alone at the end of the ship.

Even as the ship gradually left the harbor, the extraordinary vision afforded by his Professional Level physique allowed him to still glimpse through the mist, seeing those companions and comrades on the distant dock who came to see him off.

Feeling the warm, cool touch of the object in his right palm, an indescribable feeling of nostalgia rose in his heart.

"It’s over, my journey in the Southern Islands."

Over several months, if just looked at from the angle of Professional Level, it was merely from Level 3 to Level 4, which seemed like minimal change—of course, for Xia Nan himself; for an adventurer in this world, even a Level 1 increase could, to some degree, take "years" as a unit.

But in reality, whether from the perspective of actual combat power, equipment acquisition, network of relationships, or even understanding and integrating into this world, and bonds.

Compared to when he first arrived at Suo Yu Bay, everything has changed dramatically.

After "Gray Sword" at River Valley Station, Xia Nan earned the nickname "Haiya" in Suo Yu Bay, and because of his involvement in events, gained substantial renown in the Southern Islands.

Furthermore, during his journey, he met with the group of Sword of Vengeance and became trusted teammates who could rely on each other’s backs.

The {Heavy Tide} was upgraded to Full Level 5, {Embers Resonance} Level 3, {Gravity Control} advanced with exceptional difficulty yet groundbreaking to Level 2, thereby mastering a new combat specialty {Stacked Waves}, and the combat formation {Hunting Arc}, which still holds considerable room for improvement.

The enhancement in attributes goes without saying, and in the realm of equipment, he’s received comprehensive upgrades.

The upper body armor transformed into top-level Blue Equipment {Abyssal Stream - Xingji} by the time of departure, and the leg guards were updated with {Shattered Tide Anchor Shin}, which he now wears.

Apart from that, the {Proof of Diligence} enhancing Battle Skill training efficiency, the precious and Rare spatial storage-type equipment {White Pot} pocket watch, and even the prow statue named after his own nickname {Chasing Waves Sea Teeth}.

Any one of these would be something that most adventurers would spend years planning and striving for, as they are top-tier utilitarian equipment that simply can’t be bought on normal markets.

Of course, the most important among these, and also Xia Nan’s ultimate goal for coming to the Southern Islands—the key to the {Dream Weaving Corridor} terminal, was obtained after a fierce battle that pushed him to the brink, securing the key to an explosive speed boost.

The journey to the Southern Islands, thus concludes perfectly.

The rewards are certainly not just these.

Unconsciously recalling the scene at the dock port, recalling that cheerful little figure standing akimbo with a proud face.

Xia Nan looked down, his gaze moved to his palm.

There lay a delicate and small twenty-sided dice.

Its size was about half the tip of the little finger, just enough to be lightly pinched with the thumb and forefinger, overall presenting a dark golden hue as though brass had been weathered by time.

The dice itself was polished very smoothly, the edges of the twenty faces had a subtle lubricated curve, feeling like a small ball in the palm yet not slippery.

The texture was warm and almost matte; under the sunlight, it only occasionally refracted slight light at certain angles.

Without any intricate embellishments or decorations, each face of the dice was slightly recessed with numbers. The font was ancient, with uniform strokes, deeper in color than the dice itself but outlined with a clear yet unobtrusive golden contour at the edges.

Focus gathered, gaze slightly concentrated.

Then, the semi-transparent attribute panel was summoned forth.

...

{Taimola’s Glimmer of Fate}

Introduction:

A twenty-sided dice from the Bright Water Realm, favored by the Lady of Smile for frequently yielding "great success".

Note:

"When the moment of fate arrives, place your stake on the opposite end of the scales, then try to grasp it tightly."

— "Initial Luck" Tavern, Message under the sign

"You should find a casino, and then..."

...

The dice itself, as an accessory, was embedded in a custom mini hollow brass cage, with a simple clasp on the top that can be opened and adjusted.

Undoubtedly, it’s already become one of the most important pieces of equipment on Xia Nan, worn directly as a pendant, placed on the necklace around his neck, right next to {Tear of Spring Breath}, hidden under the armor.

{Taimola’s Glimmer of Fate}, purely from the Quality Level, its purple Rare grade seems to be one tier lower than the previously used-up, pink Epic {Destiny Coin}.

But it must be clarified.

The latter was indeed a consumable Tool with limited uses, only usable as a collectible after its uses are exhausted.
