Global Survival: I Have Endless Skeletons
Chapter 659: Illusion Against the Wrong Target
The air twisted as countless undead emerged from the seemingly empty space, their bodies materializing one after another within the cavern.
The first to appear was the undead Pressurefang Wolf pack, led by their enormous Alph.
Behind them, five undead Thunderhide Rhinos charged out of the Undead Space, their massive bodies shaking the rocky ground beneath their feet.
Then came the undead vanguard.
The undead Storm Tyrant emerged, followed by the undead Royalty Stonewall. The undead Kharv appeared beside them while the undead General walk came behind.
Finally, the undead Garron stepped into the cavern, joining the others..
In an instant, the situation changed completely.
The Fallen-Star Serpents froze.
Their eight heads abruptly stopped moving, and their strange eyes widened as they watched the sudden appearance of so many undead creatures.
They had expected a lone human.
Instead, an entire army had appeared before them.
The pressure coming from the undead was far greater than they had anticipated. The Pressurefang Wolf pack spread across the rocky ground.
The undead vanguard advanced without hesitation. Seeing this, the Fallen-Star Serpents hissed furiously.
HISSSSS!
They were the rulers of this territory, and no human had the right to challenge them inside their own hunting ground.
Their eight heads rose simultaneously, and their strange eyes began glowing with an eerie light.
Their intention was simple.
They were going to trap these ignorant things into their illusion.
Unfortunately, they had chosen the wrong opponents.
Thoren stood on his mount and watched the Fallen-Star Serpents attempt to activate their ability.
His expression remained cold, and he did not waste even a second waiting to see whether their trick would work.
"Kill!" He commanded through their mental link.
The undead army immediately erupted into action.
The undead Pressurefang Wolf pack moved first.
Led by their Alpha, the wolves charged toward the first Fallen-Star Serpent, spreading out as they approached from multiple directions.
Their movements were fast and coordinated, and their bodies blurred across the rocky ground as they closed the distance.
At the same time, the five undead Thunderhide Rhinos charged toward the second serpent.
Their enormous bodies thundered across the cavern, each step sending vibrations through the ground.
They lowered their heads, positioning their massive horns toward their target as they accelerated into a terrifying charge.
On the opposite side, the undead Horn Lizard King and the undead Scorpion Men King rushed toward the third Fallen-Star Serpent.
The former raised its enormous cudgel, while the latter gripped its gaunlet tightly.
The final serpent faced the undead vanguard.
The undead Storm Tyrant and undead Royalty Stonewall advanced from the front, while the undead Kharv, undead General, and undead Garron spread out to attack from the sides.
Instatnly, their formation restricted the serpent’s movements, leaving it with fewer opportunities to evade their attacks.
Four Fallen-Star Serpents. Eight separated head.
Four separate battlefields.
The cavern instantly descended into chaos.
HISSSSS!
The serpents released a series of furious cries as the undead closed in.
Their strange eyes shone brighter, and waves of invisible energy spread outward from their heads, attempting to drag the approaching undead into their illusion.
For a brief instant, the cavern seemed to shimmer.
And then, nothing happened.
The undead continued charging.
Not a single wolf slowed down. The five Thunderhide Rhinos did not alter their course, and the undead vanguard continued advancing with the same relentless determination.
The serpents’ eyes widened.
Their innate ability had failed.
Against undead, their illusion was little more than a pipe dream.
How could the undead fall into an illusion when their movements were guided by Thoren’s commands?
Unknown to the Fallen-Star Serpent, undead were their bane.
BANG! BANG!
The first Fallen-Star Serpent barely had time to react before the Pressurefang Wolf pack crashed into its enormous body.
The undead wolves attacked from all sides, their claws and fangs striking the serpent’s scales in rapid succession.
Some leaped toward its lower body, attempting to tear through the thick scales covering its underside, while others rushed toward its necks and heads.
The Alpha wolf led the assault, moving with frightening precision as it searched for an opening.
HISSSSS!
The serpent thrashed violently.
Its massive body swept across the ground, smashing into stone pillars and sending broken rocks flying through the air.
Many undead Pressurefang wolves were struck by its powerful movements and hurled away, their bodies crashing against the rocky walls before tumbling back onto the ground.
However, the serpent had made a fatal mistake.
It had underestimated the number of its enemies.
Before it could capitalize on the space created by its violent movements, more undead wolves surged forward to replace those it had thrown aside.
They showed no hesitation, no fear, and no concern for the damage they might suffer.
One wolf seized its lower body with its jaws.
Another clamped down on its tail.
Three more leaped toward its nearest neck, forcing the serpent to twist its heads in different directions as it desperately attempted to defend itself.
The Alpha wolf seized the opportunity.
It darted beneath one of the serpent’s heads, its body moving so quickly that the creature barely managed to react.
The undead Alpha wolf’s claws struck the serpent’s side with tremendous force.
Bang
Its deadly claws tore through the scales.
Dark blood splattered across the rocky ground as the serpent recoiled, releasing a furious hiss that echoed throughout the cavern.
The wound was not deep enough to kill it, but the pain enraged it
One of its heads immediately twisted toward the Alpha, its jaws opening wide as it attempted to bite the undead wolf in half.
The Alpha Wolf reacted instantly, preparing to evade. However, four undead wolves attacked at the same time.
Two leaped toward the serpent’s neck, while the other two struck its face and jaw, disrupting its attack before its fangs could reach the Alpha Wolf.
The four Fallen-Star Serpents with eight heads were pushed to the limit. With their two heads, many of their opponents fell before their assault but now.
Their head had become an open target. Still, they were unwilling to be dominated by their enemies.
The battle became increasingly brutal.
Claws tore through scales.
Fangs sank into flesh.
The serpent’s enormous body slammed repeatedly against the ground, crushing bones and shattering rocks, but the undead continued attacking without the slightest concern for their injuries.
Across the cavern, the other three battles were reaching equally devastating stages.
BANG!
A deafening impact erupted from the second battlefield.
One of the five undead Thunderhide Rhinos lowered its head and charged directly toward the Fallen-Star Serpent.
The serpent attempted to twist its head aside, but the remaining undead Thunderhide Rhinos did not give it the chance as they kept attacking it.
The impact landed squarely against the serpent’s head, driving it backward with overwhelming force.
Its scales cracked, its flesh ruptured, and its enormous body was lifted from the rocky ground before crashing violently against a jagged stone formation.
BOOM!
The pillar shattered beneath the impact.
The Fallen-Star Serpent released a miserable screech. Its body twisted desperately, but the relentless attacks gave it no opportunity to escape.
The first rhino struck its lower body.
The second slammed into the second head.
The third drove its horn into the exposed wound, while the fourth and fifth continued their assault, forcing the serpent deeper into the collapsing rubble.
