Global Survival: I Have Endless Skeletons

Chapter 377: The Young Lord vs The Grim Reaper

Chapter 377: The Young Lord vs The Grim Reaper

The moment those words left his mouth, the surrounding awakeners felt their throats tighten.

Grim Reaper.

The name spread among them like a cold wind.

They had all heard rumors of the Grim Reaper and knew the guild had been after him for weeks. He had been a top priority on their killing list, but who would have guessed the famous and deadly Grim Reaper would appear before them?

Not only him, beside him was an undead Level 37 Illusionist. The terrifying illusion they had been battling for minutes without detecting anything had come from her.

The thought alone made their hearts sink.

A Level 37 Illusionist was already terrifying.

But now, she was undead.

An undead belonging to the Grim Reaper.

Ignoring the trembling figures, Thoren looked down at the Young Lord calmly. His gaze passed over the three Scorpion Men for a moment before finally returning to the Blood Sorcerer.

"You broke the illusion faster than expected," Thoren said softly.

The Young Lord’s lips curled into a cold smile. "Did you think such a parlor trick could trap me?"

Thoren shook his head. "No," he replied calmly. "I wanted to see what you could do."

The Young Lord’s smile stiffened slightly.

Those words were not loud, but they carried a meaning that made his pride sting. He had been furious after discovering the illusion.

He had used his blood spell to tear it apart, but to Thoren, all of it had been nothing but an observation.

Like a clown dancing on his palm.

A test.

A way to measure him.

Suddenly, the temperature around the Young Lord rose sharply, and suffocating pressure spread outward. Those close to him grunted and were forced to retreat quickly.

The blood around the Young Lord’s feet slowly stirred again, forming small streams that circled his body like loyal snakes.

"You are as arrogant as the reports said," the Young Lord said coldly.

"And you are more useful than your branch captain," Thoren answered.

Hearing this, the Slave Trade Guild members below felt a chill run down their spines.

Useful.

Coming from a Necromancer, the meaning could not be more obvious. Subconsciously, their hearts pounded heavily against their chests like tolling bells.

They knew the Grim Reaper was terrifying, but they thought it was through his undead servants. They never thought he was this domineering.

He was not threatening them with rage.

He was not boasting with arrogance.

He was simply stating what he saw.

In his eyes, their Young Lord was not a person with status.

He was a possible material.

A possible undead.

A possible addition to his collection.

The Young Lord understood the meaning instantly, and the competitive light in his eyes became colder.

"You want to turn me into one of your undead?" he asked.

"If you are worth it," Thoren said.

The air became heavier.

The three Scorpion Men stepped forward at the same time, their tails raised high. Their savage killing intent erupted, pressing toward the dune where Thoren stood.

To everyone’s shock, the intimidating killing intent seemed to vanish into thin air when they were ten meters close to Thoren.

His expression was still the same, calm and indifferent. It was as if the infamous, deadly Scorpion Men were nothing before him.

The three Scorpion Men narrowed their eyes.

Their tails swayed slowly behind them.

Their claws scraped lightly against each other.

For the first time since entering the battlefield, they looked at Thoren with a faint trace of seriousness.

Suddenly, around the battlefield, the undead Dune Scorpions that had been hiding beneath the sand began to emerge again.

Their dark shells rose from the dunes one after another. Their stingers pointed toward the remaining enemies. The illusion might have been shattered, but that did not mean they were out of danger.

On the contrary, with Thoren’s presence, they were in more danger than before. The Young Lord noticed this, and his expression grew colder and colder.

"So the illusion was only one layer," he said.

"Of course," Thoren replied. A faint smile appeared on his lips.

He was not foolish enough to rush into an unprepared battle with all the advantages on his side. He could not treat the Slave Trade Guild like the ignorant Silver Crest Guild.

Even though he was not scared of them, he would not give them any chance to play any tricks.

Thus, while they were battling the illusion like fools, he was already setting the second trap.

The Slave Trade Guild members felt their scalps turn numb. Only now did they understand that even after escaping the illusion, they were still in the real trap.

The blood streams around the Young Lord rose higher. The three Scorpion Men spread out, preparing to charge. As for the guild members, they gripped their weapons tightly even though their hands could not stop shaking.

Many were forced to swallow the lumps in their throats.

While they prepared for a full frontal war, they failed to notice the undead Sanguine Vultures circling silently beneath the bloody moons.

And behind the dunes, hundreds of undead servants and beasts waited patiently.

Standing at the top of the dune, Thoren had the calm expression of a hunter watching his prey struggle inside a sealed cage.

The Young Lord raised his hand slowly. "Then let us see whether your undead can withstand my blood."

Thoren’s blue eyes remained calm. "Let us see."

The desert wind blew between them, marking the start of the true battle.

"Kill!" the Young Lord commanded.

His eyes were sharp, filled with raging killing intent. Since he became an awakener, every one of his enemies’ blood had always become his blood, and this time, he did not think there would be any difference.

And if he could have Thoren’s blood, his strength would increase to a new height.

The thought alone made the blood around him tremble with excitement.

To a Blood Sorcerer, blood was not merely something flowing inside the body.

It was power.

It was a weapon.

It was a sacrifice.
