Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator
Chapter 930: Silver-White Moonlight
- Silver-White Moonlight
“You’re awake?”
As soon as Lin Ye opened his eyes, he saw Teacher Wang sitting beside the hospital bed.
In her normal state, Teacher Wang was a beautiful woman with a lovely smile, the sort of person many students would probably like.

“Mm. Sorry to trouble you.”
Lin Ye got up and left the Infirmary.
After that, he repeated the actions from the previous simulation and successfully reached the Moon in the Dream World.
This time, Teacher Wang followed him too, so Lin Ye could only take the prepared pills before she stabbed him to death.
When he woke up, Lin Ye was already standing on the surface of the Moon in the real world.
Here, he wasn’t wearing a spacesuit and could only rely on his body to withstand the lunar environment.
The Fleshy Monster Main Body’s body was fairly reliable. Lin Ye activated the blood-colored shield, allowing him to move normally on the Moon’s surface for a while.
But the lunar environment wasn’t the biggest problem here. Looking out, he saw vast stretches of black patches covering the Moon’s surface. He couldn’t even find a side road free of them.
‘It seems there’s no other way...’
Lin Ye was still under the influence of the special spiritual imprint. If he couldn’t find a way to resolve the problem soon, this simulation would be over again before long.
“Why not go inside and take a look?”
‘Who?’
A voice sounded beside Lin Ye’s ear. He looked around, but whether with light perception or his physical senses, he couldn’t find anything nearby that could speak.
After all, there was no atmosphere on the Moon, so there was no basis for sound to travel here.
And yet Lin Ye had definitely heard some kind of voice.
‘Go inside and take a look... I can only go in and have a look. The me over there can’t get out, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the me over here can’t.’
Lin Ye activated the remaining symbols on his body, and large numbers of fleshy duplicates appeared on the Moon’s surface.
These duplicates couldn’t survive for long on the lunar surface, but that wasn’t a major problem, because the black patches would swallow them.
As long as he made the duplicates touch the black patches, Lin Ye could remain in a third-person state, staying behind the newly appeared duplicates without running into any problems.
‘Let’s see how many duplicates you can swallow.’
Lin Ye controlled the duplicates, making them repeatedly touch the black patches. He had actually thought of a way to solve the problem earlier, but wasn’t sure whether he could still find a normal state and the correct location by doing this.
If possible, he didn’t want to touch the black patches. This could lead to extremely serious consequences, such as being trapped inside the simulation mission.
But now he had no other choice. If he didn’t touch the black patches, he couldn’t complete this simulation mission.
Lin Ye stayed behind the duplicates until he reached the limit of what he could endure under the special spiritual imprint’s influence. Only then did he follow the duplicates and make contact with the black patches.
The instant he touched a black patch, a vast amount of anomalous Information flooded into Lin Ye’s mind. He forcibly isolated the chaotic Information, preventing it from affecting his mind.
At the same time, all the duplicates collapsed together. An equal amount of energy, though different in nature, surged into his body, reshaping its structure.
If the effects had come from only one side, Lin Ye might have managed to cope. But when both his body and mind were affected at the same time, even he couldn’t handle such a troublesome situation.
Just as Lin Ye was about to forcibly end the simulation, his body suddenly exploded into silver-white rays of light. Under the influence of the special spiritual imprint, his body began to reconstruct. Various kinds of energy blended together, forming something that transcended the structure of the flesh.
With his new body, Lin Ye continued to isolate the anomalous spiritual Information. He had no idea how much time passed before he finally returned to a stable state.
‘What the hell is this...’
Lin Ye sensed the state of this body. It was no longer made of normal flesh, but of some kind of interwoven anomalous substance.
Just staying inside this body made Lin Ye feel suffocated. Even with his mental strength, he couldn’t remain inside it for long.
‘I have to end the simulation as soon as possible, or even my Consciousness will be affected by this body.’
Lin Ye had turned into all sorts of strange things while completing simulation missions before, but his Consciousness was stable enough that those things couldn’t affect him at all.
This body was different. It was beyond anything he could handle right now.
‘But given how anomalous this body is, the black patches shouldn’t be able to affect it anymore. That means I’ve already achieved a “normal” state. As long as I find the correct location, I can shut down Anomalous Project No. 5 and end this simulation mission.’
Lin Ye struggled to control this body, which had absorbed various kinds of anomalous energy and was under the influence of the special spiritual imprint. He had fulfilled half the necessary conditions, but the other half was the biggest problem for him.
This was a world of black patches formed by Anomalous Project No. 5. Every location connected to various anomalous regions. Finding that Laboratory was practically an impossible task.
But when Lin Ye opened his ‘eyes,’ he discovered that the task didn’t seem quite so impossible after all.
A silver-white Moon hung at the top of the pitch-black world. It simply hung there, no different from the Moon in the world of consciousness, neither drawing nearer nor moving farther away.
“This is... so reassuring.”
Just by looking at the Moon in the sky, Lin Ye could sense the location of that Laboratory. The moonlight illuminated the path ahead. As long as he kept moving forward, he would reach the place he needed to go.
The path was difficult, but Lin Ye could persevere. He was very good at this sort of thing.
Lin Ye walked slowly along the moonlight. He wasn’t moving very fast, but he didn’t stop for a moment.
He didn’t know how long had passed before he stopped outside a Laboratory. Its large door stood open. By the silver-white moonlight, he could see the ordinary-looking door inside, and the mottled shadows beyond it.
This was the place he had been looking for.
“Nice idea, but it won’t work on me.”
Lin Ye didn’t enter the Laboratory. He stood outside and forcefully shut its door.

Lin Ye climbed out of bed. This time, he didn’t push away the pet sprawled on top of him. Instead, he hugged the Scapegoat and stroked its soft, warm belly.
This unusual behavior made the Scapegoat somewhat flustered. It stiffened its body and trembled a few times.
Lin Ye checked the time. Although he had spent many days in the simulation, only a few hours had passed here.
