Lin Ye did not see any ship. He only saw a filthy black mass in a semi-dissolved state.

It looked like an incompletely melted metal structure.

"...It seems to be heading straight for us. Should we stop it?"

Von was unsure whether to act. As a high-level spiritual energy user, he had the ability to redirect the ship's course.

"If you don't want to die, I'd advise against it."

Lin Ye had absolutely no desire to come into contact with that mass.

"Then we just watch?"

In a little over ten seconds, the two ships would collide.

"Exactly. In a place like this, the more you do, the more likely something goes wrong."

Lin Ye leaned back in his chair. A small parasitic multi-headed shark crawled onto the deck and wriggled its way over to the chair like a bug.

Rex hid behind the chair. It was the first time he had ever seen such a bizarre creature.

Lin Ye grabbed the multi-headed shark, pulled a Mind Crystal from its mouth, and tossed it onto the deck.

The mass and the ship collided, but the impact Von had anticipated never came. The two sides were like butter in a melting state, seamlessly fusing together.

At first, the fusion was barely noticeable, but as the contact area grew, the speed of merging accelerated rapidly.

Before long, the two sides had completely merged. The ship grew somewhat larger after the fusion, but everything else seemed no different from before.

"That's it?"

Von looked at the ship beneath his feet, uncertain what kind of problems this fusion might cause.

"The course seems to have changed..."

Rex noticed the shift in direction.

"Yeah, it wants to take us somewhere."

Lin Ye glanced at the captain's cabin but made no move to stop the ship from changing course. After all, he had no idea where to go anyway.

The multi-headed shark stayed clinging to Lin Ye, occasionally spitting out Mind Crystals.

Lin Ye casually tossed the Mind Crystals onto the deck. Since the Parasitism Network was malfunctioning, he could use this method to deal with the chaotic information coming from the Abyss.

But one multi-headed shark was not quite enough. Soon, several more multi-headed sharks climbed onto the deck, spitting out those troublesome Mind Crystals.

These Mind Crystals could not be tossed into the sea, as they might trigger unknown effects. Spitting them onto the ship, however, was harmless enough.

"That's enough!"

Before long, a Controller dressed in a black robe pushed open the door of the captain's cabin and glared at Lin Ye with furious eyes.

"I thought you'd wait until we reached the destination before coming out. Aren't you afraid I'll kill you?"

Lin Ye stroked the back of the multi-headed shark, which spat a few more pitch-black Mind Crystals onto the deck.

"Give me a little more time and I'll be completely done for! I'm just working here. As long as you spare my life, I can lead you out of this place."

If he could help it, the captain would rather stay in the relatively safe captain's cabin, but if he let Lin Ye keep this up any longer, he would never be able to leave the Abyss.

"Tell me about your situation here. I might just grant you the chance to die."

Lin Ye naturally had no intention of letting the man go. After all, the man was working for the Abyss.

"I was originally an adventurer who entered the Sea of Death searching for resources. But you've already seen what it's like here. Back then, I had no choice. Either become part of the Abyss, or become a captain and drag more people into it. If I chose the latter, those people would give me a chance to go to another Plane."

The captain had no desire to fight Lin Ye. As long as he could stall for time, the ship would reach that place, and then it would be Lin Ye begging him instead.

"So you betrayed this Plane? Now I'm giving you a second chance to choose. If you can lead me to the exit, I'll bring you out of here alive. I believe no one should ever get a third chance. I hope you make the right choice this time."

Lin Ye patted the multi-headed shark's back, and it stopped spitting out Mind Crystals.

"Fine, I'll take you out of here right now. Those people left us captains an escape route."

The captain returned to the captain's cabin. He was only stalling for time, having never seriously considered the opportunity Lin Ye offered.

The ship began to accelerate. Before long, an isolated island appeared directly ahead, with a black base shaped like a pot lid at its center.

Shipwrecks littered the area around the island, along with a few intact ships.

In Lin Ye's eyes, the area around the island was piled high with those filthy black masses.

"I have a bad feeling about this. Should we run?"

Von could not see the masses, but he could sense that something was wrong here. And it was a very serious problem.

"Don't rush... Besides, it's already too late to leave now."

Lin Ye stood up and leaned against the railing. The moment he left the lounge chair, the ship beneath them suddenly accelerated, slamming straight into the island.

"What have you done?!"

The captain ran out, demanding furiously.

"Helping you do what you should have done."

In truth, Lin Ye had never stopped channeling the dangerous spiritual imprints from the Parasitism Network into the ship. He had merely switched to a method the captain could not detect.

Now the ship had become part of the Parasitism Network as well. Though this part was highly unstable and could fall apart at any moment, at least for now, it remained under Lin Ye's control.

"You madman! That's the base of those Abyss followers! Crash into it and we're all dead!"

The captain tried to stop Lin Ye, only to discover that his body was already sinking into the ship, fusing with it.

"So they're Abyss followers. Then let's go say hello."

Under Lin Ye's control, the ship lifted off the sea surface and began sliding across the island before smashing straight through the entire base.

Thanks to the ship's material and the stealth techniques Lin Ye employed through the Parasitism Network, the base's defensive measures never activated at all. The Abyss followers inside never noticed what was happening either.

Lin Ye channeled the dangerous information that had corrupted the entire Parasitism Network through the ship as a medium, pouring it all into the base and the island.

The shattered ship and the collapsing base merged together, exposing every Abyss follower hidden inside to dangerous information that even Lin Ye himself could not handle. Most of the followers twisted into grotesque monsters before exploding into splatters of bloody stains.

Lin Ye leaned against the railing and raised his can of iced cola toward the few surviving Abyss followers in the base.

Those followers had no time to pay Lin Ye any mind. They dashed at full speed toward the depths of the base, trying to stabilize its core part. If the base completely collapsed, they would not be able to survive in this environment for long either.

Lin Ye did not linger. After finishing his iced cola, he led Von and Rex off the isolated island.
