"Really? This thing can bring people back to life?"

Lin Ye took another careful look at the silver coin in his hand. He had never encountered an item capable of resurrecting someone before.

"If we were somewhere more normal, this silver coin really could revive a person, but here it's hard to say. Too many factors could affect the coin, which is why I wanted you to test it first. You're going up there to take risks anyway. If it doesn't work, we'll find another way out."

Little Spiral flashed a somewhat cunning smile.

"You have a backup silver coin?"

Lin Ye hadn't expected these two students to be so well-off.

"No, this isn't some cheap trinket. There's no way I'd have several on hand. But she does have another silver coin on her, so at least one person can survive. She can also go back and call for reinforcements."

Little Spiral nudged Margaret, who was lying beside her, with her shoulder.

"You should be the one to go back. I can hold out longer, and besides, if I went back, there's no guarantee anyone would come to rescue you."

Margaret took out an identical silver coin from her person and tossed it to Little Spiral.

"...Fine, that works. I'll come back as quickly as I can."

Little Spiral caught the coin and replied with a somewhat helpless tone.

"Then I'll go up and test it out. You two should stay in the center of the platform, because I have no idea what's going to happen in a moment. Oh, and here, take this. It's worth way more than you are."

Lin Ye tossed the completely useless pistol to Little Spiral, then walked to the edge of the platform and closed his eyes.

He recalled the special spiritual imprint he had obtained in that Dream World. This thing could function normally even in a world without spiritual energy. Although he couldn't use his mental energy right now, he could still activate the special spiritual imprint's functions simply by recalling it.

As Lin Ye continuously recalled the special spiritual imprint, wisps and strands of colorful substance surged out from within his body.

It was the same colorful substance he had encountered in the Color Space. The special spiritual imprint had completely fused his body together with that colorful substance.

Lin Ye had considered this method of self-preservation before. While he didn't know much about the colorful substance, he had come into contact with many kinds of special materials in the past. With just a bit of research, he could form a certain level of combat power.

Just as his body was about to complete its colorization, Lin Ye leaped into the spiral force field outside the platform. His body was instantly stretched thin by the spiral force field, transforming into a colorful spiral spanning the entire sky.

Lin Ye's consciousness didn't dissipate. Under the influence of the special spiritual imprint, he could still maintain normal thinking.

"Holy crap! He's making a design with his own body?! That's even possible?!"

Seeing the colors filling the entire sky, Little Spiral was stunned. This was the first time she had witnessed such a spectacle.

She had thought Lin Ye was just an ordinary rich kid, but she never expected him to be a rich kid with incredible skills.

Honestly, she kind of wanted to learn how to do that.

"This seems to be some kind of special substance, but isn't this a bit too much?"

Margaret had always felt that Lin Ye was anything but simple, and it turned out she hadn't been wrong.

The colors quickly filled every part of the spiral force field. At the very center of the spliced spiral force field, a phantom image of a colorful star appeared.

'So that's how it is...'

When the conch shell had disappeared, Lin Ye had already considered this possibility.

Back then, the conch shell had caused some kind of effect on Little Spiral and Margaret. It wasn't actually targeting them, but rather the colorful star. That was why Lin Ye had said those words at the time.

In the Color Space, that Female Student clearly posed a certain threat to the colorful star. So when Lin Ye opened the Spiral Maze's large door, the colorful star had broken free from that sealed planet and slipped into Lin Ye's body.

As for why it didn't escape on its own, that probably had something to do with whatever was sealing the colorful star.

If Lin Ye had simply returned to the Color Space through the Exit, the colorful star would have stayed inside his body the whole time and gone back to the simulation plane with him. By then, it would have wasted one Simulation Attempt and a Special Ability.

'Good thing I was cautious enough. Otherwise, this would have been a real pain in the ass.'

Lin Ye used his body to sense the spiral force field and the stretched colorful body he now inhabited. Neither of these was simple, and who knew when they might come in handy.

"It's a bit much, but it's so beautiful."

Little Spiral gazed at the colorful starry sky stretched into a complex spiral and couldn't help but let out a sigh of admiration.

"Indeed. You should have a camera in your bag, right?"

The spiral architecture near the platform had also been dyed with color. At the center of those colorful spiral structures was a deep, colorful starry sky. This was the first time Margaret had ever seen such a dreamlike, surreal scene.

Although she felt a bit apologetic about it, she still wanted to preserve this image.

"Probably not. My camera is only a mid-tier spiritual energy item. There's no way it can capture something like this."

Little Spiral replied with great regret.

If she could take a picture, she could make money selling the printed photos.

"Then let's just keep it in our memories."

Margaret looked at the colorful spiral starry sky above, wanting to etch the scene before her deep into her memory.

"You're underestimating me a bit there. I can't make designs in the sky, but when it comes to these kinds of random skills, even the teachers can't beat me!"

Little Spiral pulled out a folding easel from her bag and began to replicate the scene above her head.

"You really are... versatile."

Margaret flashed a very brief smile.

"You bet I am?"

Little Spiral replied with great pride.

The colorful star kept struggling within the spiral force field. The surrounding spiral architecture was devouring the colorful substance, and neither side had any time to bother with Lin Ye.

But Lin Ye didn't hold on for very long. In less than half an hour, he completely lost consciousness.

After losing consciousness, Lin Ye suddenly jolted awake. He found himself still within the spiral force field. The silver coin had been activated, but he could only revive within this area. The spiral force field limited the revival range.

And in this area, only the platform was relatively safe. If he didn't want to die again, Lin Ye had no choice but to revive on the platform.

Lin Ye appeared in the center of the platform, still in that D-Class personnel body.

"Looks like we can't leave after all."

Seeing Lin Ye reappear, Margaret wasn't all that surprised. She had already considered this possibility earlier.

"Yeah, I can only revive in this area. But don't worry, I have connections here. Once things stabilize up there, we should be able to head back."

Lin Ye glanced at the nearly finished artwork on the easel and reached out to add a few strokes to it.

Rich colors fell from the sky like flowing starlight, landing on the canvas. The spiral force field and the colors merged into the painting, becoming part of the artwork itself.

Having spent half an hour up there, Lin Ye now had a very deep understanding of both the spiral force field and the colors.

Controlling the entire starry sky was difficult, but influencing it just a little was no problem at all.
