Global Pioener: Earth Second Change
126. Savannah Island Becomes the Target
The next morning, the communication cycle arrived once again.
As usual, messages from each country's government reached their Pioneers at almost the same time. For most of them, the weekly messages had already become routine. Some opened them as soon as they appeared, while others put them off because they were in the middle of something.
On Rangga’s private island, he was relaxing when the communication notification appeared.
“Oh, it’s here again.”
Rangga opened the message from the Garuda government. This time, its contents were much calmer than they had been over the past few weeks.
The Garuda government expressed its appreciation to all Pioneers for their contributions during the economic recovery. Resource shipments from the Pioneers had helped keep domestic industries running and allowed economic conditions to gradually stabilize.
However, the need for resources had not ended.
Garuda was still requesting large quantities of supplies, especially coal and various types of metals needed by industries and factories that were returning to operation. The government also asked the Pioneers to continue prioritizing the collection of resources that could help maintain economic stability.
Rangga read the message to the end.
“Still need coal.”
He scratched his head with a small smile.
“Well, makes sense. Factories die without fuel.”
At the end of the message, the government once again expressed its gratitude to all the Pioneers.
There were no threats. No special orders to deal with other nations. The situation had become much more relaxed.
Rangga then opened the Garuda group chat, and several Pioneers were already discussing the same message.

Andre:
Still need coal, apparently.
Fajar:
Then let’s get more.
Rangga:
Relax. The economy’s already starting to stabilize.
Andre:
The important thing is that we can focus on upgrading our technology now.
Rangga smiled as he read the conversation.
Garuda's situation was indeed very different from a month earlier. They no longer had to devote nearly all their efforts simply to meeting resource quotas. Vanadium battery production had begun, trade with several countries had reopened, and industrial demand was gradually being met.
For the Garuda Pioneers, that meant they finally had some room to develop themselves.
Rangga had even begun thinking about what he would do after obtaining the materials needed to make a replacement Hijack Device.
However, the situation in other nations was not the same.
In Bald Eagle Nation, the message received by the Pioneers contained an entirely new target.
Vanadium.
Their government explained that the material had become a strategic resource for the development of the battery industry. The Pioneers were asked to prioritize searching for and shipping large quantities of Vanadium.
Not long after the message spread, conversations among the Bald Eagle Pioneers immediately became lively.
“So there really is Vanadium in Savannah?”
“That’s what they say.”
“Then we have to go there.”
“Surely a lot of people already know.”
One Pioneer pulled up an old recording showing several Garuda Pioneers on Savannah Island.
“If Garuda can get it, so can we.”
Similar instructions were also received by Sakura Nation and several other countries that were part of the Bald Eagle alliance.
Their target was now the same.
Savannah Island.
Not merely to search for ordinary resources, but to obtain a material whose value was becoming increasingly important on Earth.
The Pioneers wasted no time.
Some immediately prepared their ships. Others checked their weapons and equipment. They knew Savannah wasn't an easy place to enter. The Mechanical Ankylosauruses that had given many Pioneers so much trouble were still roaming the island.
However, after learning the value of Vanadium, they considered the risk worthwhile.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the Pioneer world, Rangga was still sitting around casually, thinking about how to obtain the materials needed to replace his Hijack Device.
He had absolutely no idea that at the same time, the attention of many nations was beginning to turn toward an island that Garuda had already visited several times.
Savannah Island.
For Garuda, the Vanadium they had obtained from the island had now become part of their stockpile, which could be shipped to Earth gradually.
But for other nations, the situation was different.
They had only just discovered how valuable the material was, and from that day onward, more and more Pioneers would begin heading toward Savannah.
