Global Pioener: Earth Second Change
118. The Hunter Is Being Hunted
The following night, the Garuda Pioneers gathered again on Deri’s private island. This time, their activity was a little different. After eating together, they began taking out the resources each of them had gathered and matching them against the needs they had recorded earlier.
Some exchanged materials with one another, while others checked their supplies again.
Fajar was counting a stack of hardwood when his expression suddenly changed.
“Siska.”
Siska turned. “What?”
“You’re short on hardwood.”
“How much?”
“Still a lot.”
Siska shrugged. “I only got a little yesterday.”
Fajar let out an annoyed sigh.
“Even though I need it for the upgrade.”
On the other side, Andre was also checking his supplies. He then turned to Rangga.
“Bang, I’m short on saltpeter.”
Rangga, who was sorting through his items, looked up.
“I’ve only been to the Desert Island once too.”
“So?”
“What can I do? Resource islands are random.”
Andre snorted. “Damn it.”
Rangga raised both hands.
“It’s not my fault.”
“I know.”
Andre went back to checking his items, and not far from them, Siska suddenly shouted.
“Rian!”
Rian turned.

“Thanks!”
Fajar, Andre, and Deri all turned almost simultaneously. Siska held up several materials in her hands with a satisfied expression.
“I can finally upgrade my Production Bench!”
The three of them immediately fell silent.
Fajar stared at Siska. Andre stared at Siska, and Deri stared at Siska as well. Their expressions all conveyed the same thing very clearly: jealousy.
Siska only smiled even wider.
“Why are you guys staring?”
Fajar slowly shook his head.
“Nothing.”
Andre narrowed his eyes.
“Congratulations.”
Deri merely sighed.
“Good.”
Siska didn’t seem bothered at all. Instead, she put her materials away and then quickly walked toward Rangga.
“Bang Rangga!”
Rangga turned.
Siska approached with a smile that looked far too suspicious to Rangga.
“Bang...”
Rangga immediately took a step back.
“What?”
Siska moved closer again.
“Bang, I want to ask you something...”
Rangga grew suspicious.
“Stop.”
Siska kept walking toward him.
“Why, Bang?”
“Stop. Don’t come any closer.”
Siska chuckled teasingly.
“I just want to ask about the materials needed for a Hijack Device.”
Rangga frowned.
“Then just ask normally.”
Siska stopped for a moment.
“Okay.”
Rangga looked relieved, but Siska then took another step forward.
“Bang, what materials are needed for a Hijack Device?”
Rangga immediately backed away.
“I told you to just ask normally!”
Siska laughed.
“Why are you scared?”
“I’m not scared!”
Siska stepped forward again, and Rangga backed away again.
“Don’t come any closer!”
“Why?”
“Personal space! DON’T COME ANY CLOSER!”
Siska only moved closer with a mischievous smile, and Rangga finally turned around.
“HEY!”
He immediately ran away, while Siska laughed and chased after him.
“Bang Rangga!”
“DON’T CHASE ME!”
The other Pioneers immediately turned to look. Rangga ran around the campfire while Siska chased him from behind.
“Stop, Bang!”
“YOU STOP!”
“I just want to ask you something!”
“THEN ASK FROM OVER THERE!”
Laughter began ringing out from all around them, and then Rangga spotted Deri.
“Mayor! Help!”
Deri merely glanced at him before going back to his food.
“Handle it yourself.”
“HUH?!”
Rangga turned and kept running, then spotted Fajar.
“Jar! Help me!”
Fajar casually leaned back.
“Sorry, I’m enjoying your suffering.”
“DAMN IT!”
Andre was already laughing his head off.
“Bang, run faster!”
“HELP ME!”
“No.”
“WHY?!”
Andre pointed at Siska.
“People are scared of your name, but you’re scared of Siska... That’s hilarious.”
Fajar nodded seriously.
“Agreed.”
Rian, who was also watching the commotion, simply smiled and shook his head. Rangga continued running around the campfire.
“SOMEONE HELP ME!”
Nobody moved, while Siska continued chasing him with a laugh.
“Bang Rangga, come here!”
“NO!”
The night that had initially been filled with discussions about materials and technology had turned into a chase scene. Meanwhile, the other Pioneers chose to sit back and relax, enjoying the spectacle without the slightest intention of helping.
After all, seeing Rangga, who was usually busy dealing with all kinds of technology, finally scrambling around while being chased by Siska was simply too entertaining to pass up.
