Chapter 453 - 213: Void Land

This time, they had Experience. More than a dozen Knights linked their souls to activate a Skill. Soul Energy flared, transforming into a howling gale that wrapped around them as they charged forward like a storm’s blade.

The ladybug halted and began gathering Energy. The previous widespread barrage had consumed a great deal of it, but to counter the Skeleton Knights’ Charge, it mustered its remaining strength and once again spat out its "thick phlegm."

Seeing this, Li Ziyu finally breathed a sigh of relief. ’I can’t afford to lose the Skeleton Knights. They’re too expensive! This is my entire nest egg; I can’t let it be wiped out by a ladybug’s "thick phlegm."’

The Skeleton Knights drew closer and closer to the ladybug, their Speed continuously increasing. Suddenly, their bodies transformed into streaks of light, their Speed reaching its absolute peak. With a roar, leaving a trail of overlapping Phantoms, they shot past the ladybug and charged far into the distance without a backward glance.

After charging several hundred meters, the streaks of light and Phantoms dissipated. The Skeleton Knights fanned out, wheeling their mounts around to face the ladybug.

Having discovered that their Physical Attacks were useless, the Skeleton Knights switched tactics. In addition to Physical Attacks, they could also unleash a Soul Attack. It was just that this type of attack had a high cost, so they preferred not to use it.

The Skeleton Knights clearly hadn’t expected the ladybug to have a trick like that up its sleeve. By the time their Charge reached its destination, their target was already high in the sky.

Flight was of little use, however. The Skeleton Knights had never been short of flying opponents; they had their own ways of dealing with them.

The Skeleton Knights raised their Knight’s Lances, aimed at the ladybug, and hurled them as if they were Javelins. WHOOSH, WHOOSH, WHOOSH!

But that wasn’t all. They had already determined that Physical Attacks were largely useless against the ladybug. The purpose of throwing their lances was simply to slow the creature’s escape. Their true attack followed immediately after.

It was another Soul Attack. Drawing their Broadswords, their Soul Energy surged once more, coalescing into a colossal Soul Sword that slashed down from above at the ladybug.

The ladybug was fast, but not fast enough to escape the Soul Sword’s range. It was struck. The creature’s body went rigid in mid-air, its wings ceased to beat, and it fell stiffly from the sky.

The Skeleton Knights immediately advanced, converging on the spot where the ladybug had fallen. The lead Skeleton Knight dismounted, walked up to the creature, raised its Broadsword high, aimed for the seam between the ladybug’s head and body, and plunged it down with brutal force.
