Where am I?

Standing atop the main tower of his Undead Fortress, Li Ziyu stared at the brilliant, scorching sun hanging high in the sky, completely baffled.

Below him was a lush green grassland. To his left, sprawling mountains and forests. To his right, a scorched wasteland that looked as if it had been bombarded by countless Katusha rocket shells. No matter how he looked at it, this place was nothing like the Desolate Land of Death.

After agreeing with Batubohe to find a new region to gather resources, Li Ziyu had made his arrangements and set out. He'd been searching continuously within the Desolate Land of Death for a new area. Perhaps his luck had run out, because after more than ten days of searching, he still hadn't found the border of a new region.

Today had started out as usual, setting up Soul Base Stations while continuing his search for the border. But then, in a fleeting moment of distraction, he found himself in this place.

Thinking his eyes were playing tricks on him, Li Ziyu had rushed to the rooftop for a better view. But he could see it all clearly now. It wasn't a trick; he had really arrived in an unknown land.

'What did I do to end up here?' He couldn't figure it out.

Panicked? No, Li Ziyu wasn't panicking. He was just baffled. He'd already been transported to another world to become an Undead Lord; a little scene like this wasn't enough to make him lose his composure.

Scratching his head, he opened the system and looked through the notifications.

Hmm?

Li Ziyu's gaze sharpened. He had found a notification the system hadn't alerted him to.

[System Reminder: You have arrived at the 'Void Land']

'The Void Land must be referring to this place, right?'

'This damn system screwed me over again! Such important information, and not even a notification sound!'

Li Ziyu subconsciously opened the chat, planning to ask Zhang Peng for information about the Void Land. But when he did, it just displayed "Unable to connect." Stunned, he tried opening Batubohe's chat window, only to see the same message: "Unable to connect."

'I'm in the damn Otherworld, and there are still signal problems?'

'This system is so unprofessional!'

Since he couldn't ask anyone else for help, he'd have to figure this out on his own.

'Void Land... Void Land... That sounds kind of familiar.'

Li Ziyu frowned, wracking his brain. He was sure he'd heard that name somewhere before.

After thinking for a long moment, Li Ziyu's eyes lit up. He remembered! He had seen a post on the system forums about the Void Land!

'This is a great place! A place many Lords wish they could come to but can't.'

The Void Land, also known as the Void Battlefield, was a special space that existed in the gaps between dimensions, and it was inhabited by Void Creatures.

In the Otherworld, Spatial Rifts would occasionally appear. It was possible to enter the Void Land by passing through one, but of course, one could also plunge headfirst into the Void itself or a void storm. That would be a far more tragic fate—either being exiled to the endless Void or being torn to shreds by the storm.

According to the post, innumerable Void Lands existed within these spatial gaps. Though their number was vast, entering one was incredibly difficult. Unless one possessed the ability to shatter the Spatial Barrier, the only other way was to try your luck with a Spatial Rift.

The Void Lands varied in size. Some were small and barren, offering no benefit to those who entered. Others, however, were as vast as continents, complete with mountains, rivers, and abundant resources—like stepping into a treasure trove.

In the Void Land, one had to be wary of other accidental visitors, but the greatest danger came from the Void Creatures. They were extremely hostile toward all life from outside the Void and possessed great combat strength.

The Void Land was a special place, so the system would experience some interference, rendering communication impossible. That was something to keep in mind.

'It's a great place to gather resources, but... it seems pretty useless for me.'

A wry smile touched Li Ziyu's lips. For other Lords, this place was undoubtedly a treasure trove where they could gather all sorts of resources. For him, however, it seemed to be of questionable value. After all, his Undead were unique; the resources they needed most were Skeletons and Soul Energy. In other words, he needed corpses—ideally, freshly killed ones whose Soul Energy had not yet dissipated.

'The Void Land might have abundant resources, but it's not like there are going to be piles of corpses just waiting for me to break them down, is there?'

'If Brother Batu got in here, he'd be like a kid in a candy store. But for me to end up here... isn't that like winking at a blind man? A total waste of effort.'

'Come to think of it, that daze from earlier... it must have been because the storms and dust in the Desolate Land of Death obscured my vision. I must have accidentally touched a Spatial Rift and been teleported here.'

'That was close. Thank goodness I was sent to a Void Land. If I'd ended up in a void storm, I would have died for nothing.'

Li Ziyu patted his chest and let out a breath, a wave of belated fear washing over him. He then surveyed his surroundings. 'Well, since I'm here, I might as well take a look around. I have to find a way out. I can't just let myself get trapped here and die.'

'Which way to go?'

'The forest?'

'Nah. The Fortress is too big; moving it through a forest would be a huge pain. The dense trees would block my line of sight, and I don't want to get blindsided by some hidden Void Creature. It would be foolish to let my guard down.'

'What about that scorched land?'

'Hmm... it definitely has a vibe that suits the Undead, but doesn't a place that suits the Undead usually mean it's dangerous? Better not.'

'I'll start by exploring the grassland. It's a good choice—green, full of life, and the view is wide open. It'll be easy to spot any danger. Much better than the forest or the scorched land.'
