Global Lords: The Undead's Mobile Fortress
Chapter 297 161: Malignant Tumor Action (Part 3)
These five had been through a lot down below, spending nearly every day in battle. They had changed so much that Li Ziyu almost didn't recognize them.
The most eye-catching one was the Physical Skeleton. 'That guy must have taken a real beating down there.' It had actually grown taller. When it left, it was around 250cm tall, but it had shot up to about 350cm, making it a head taller than even the Ox Demon and the Heavy Hammer Warriors. It was burly and barrel-chested, its bones having become extremely thick. They had even mutated, fusing together until they resembled a suit of heavy Armor.
Even its skull had changed, becoming a dome-shaped head. Its nasal cavity had vanished, leaving only a mouth and two eye sockets. Its neck hadn't grown longer; in fact, it had shortened and become much thicker.
Besides its physique, the Physical Skeleton's bones had also changed color. They were no longer white, but a faint, earthy yellow that gave off a soft glow.
'The Physical Skeleton looks a little familiar for some reason...'
Li Ziyu frowned, mulling it over for a long while before his eyes suddenly widened. 'Holy shit, the Anti-Hulk Armor?!'
The Physical Skeleton now looked exactly like a skeletal version of the Anti-Hulk Armor from the movies of his past life.
'How did it even grow to look like this? It's not very fantastical at all.'
Then he looked at its Weapon. Li Ziyu facepalmed. 'Have you ever seen a four-meter-tall Shield?'
Not only was it huge, but it also had a strange design. The Physical Skeleton's two Shields could be fitted together. The outer edges were curved, while the top, bottom, and the Splicing seam were straight. The center bulged out, forming the shape of a skull, and the bottom tapered into a triangle, allowing it to be planted firmly on the ground.
You couldn't even call this damn thing a Shield anymore. It was basically a wall—and the kind of wall you knew was incredibly solid just from a single glance!
'Well, I'll be. It went down there and came back as an absolute defense. Impressive.'
Tearing his gaze away from the Physical Skeleton, Li Ziyu turned to the other four Tattooed Skeletons. Their transformations were just as dramatic.
The Power Skeleton's changes were no less significant than the Physical Skeleton's. This one had also reached a height of 300cm. But despite being so tall, it looked... stocky. Yes, that was the word. It gave off a strange impression: tall, yet somehow short. 'Hmm, it seems to have prioritized horizontal growth.'
Its arms and legs were so thick they were almost disproportionate, but that was likely necessary to withstand its ever-increasing Power.
The Power Skeleton's bones had also changed color, taking on an intense metallic quality, as if they had been coated in molten iron.
As for its Hammer... Heh. That thing was terrifying. It was longer and larger than the Heavy Hammer Warriors' Hammers, and its head wasn't a normal sphere. Instead, it was a skull with massive Tusks, with Soul Fire blazing from within.
'Getting hit by that Hammer would probably not end well.'
The Physical Skeleton and the Power Skeleton were the two most noticeable, their massive frames making them conspicuous just by standing still.
Another one that had changed dramatically was the Speed Skeleton. It was a peculiar case. While the others grew taller, this one had gone the other way and shrunk. It had been 170cm tall when first summoned, but now it was barely 160cm.
'So, you didn't get any taller, but your head did? And why is it so long?' Other Skeletons had round heads, but the Speed Skeleton's was oval, like a malformed olive pit. Li Ziyu subconsciously rubbed his fingers together. 'A head like that is just begging to be polished. You could keep a whole team of old men busy with it.'
Not only had the Speed Skeleton gotten shorter, but its bones had also become thinner. Its frame, however, had a strange sleekness to it, presumably to help it run even faster.
What Li Ziyu found strange was that whenever he looked at the Speed Skeleton, it seemed blurry.
'Are my eyes playing tricks on me?'
Li Ziyu rubbed his eyes and looked at the Speed Skeleton again. It still appeared blurry.
After tilting his head and observing it carefully for a moment, Li Ziyu was astonished to realize that the thing was constantly moving. It was making small, rapid hops on the spot, and because its Speed was so immense, it appeared as a blur.
'Fucking ridiculous!'
