Chapter 68: Chapter 50: Fierce Battle 8: Many Plants, Great Power

An area of one square kilometer might not seem large, but it was completely filled with defensive structures, occupying every inch of open space. If not for the legion of Warriors in the center, there would have been a full million defensive plants.

But even with the centermost area occupied, there were still plenty of defensive plants left.

Lin Yu turned to Lin Chenxi. "Chenxi, pull back the vines. Let those skeletons get closer. I want to test something!"

He also instructed them to only attack each skeleton once.

The endlessly advancing skeletons were endlessly annihilated. Soon, their scattered bones piled up in the distance, forming a circular mound that was then pulverized by Pea Bullets.

However, because these bone mounds wasted a good number of Pea Bullets, the skeletons’ front line managed to advance a little.

Suddenly, a vine shot out from the ground and swiftly wrapped around the Skeleton King’s leg.

The Skeleton King paid it no mind. With a light swing of his greatsword, he forced Phantom back and sliced through the vine on his leg in the same motion.

Several more vines burst from the ground in quick succession. The Skeleton King paused his greatsword for a moment before swinging at the vines again. This time, however, he failed to sever them all; his feet and waist were bound.

Just as he was about to cut these new vines, even more shot out from underground, tying up his hands and feet completely.

Phantom reacted instantly, rushing forward while the Skeleton King was immobilized. His claws became a blur, unleashing a torrent of attacks on the helpless king.

In the blink of an eye, the Skeleton King’s armor was completely shattered, falling to the ground in pieces of broken metal.

With his armor gone, the Skeleton King’s Bone Armor was revealed. It was a terrifying sight, covered in sharp protrusions like a series of blades that glinted with a dazzling light.

CLANG! CLANG!

Phantom’s claws struck these protrusions, creating a loud, metallic ringing.

Finding the protrusions indestructible, Phantom immediately changed targets. He aimed for the Skeleton King’s neck, intending to snap it. Decapitation was a fatal blow to any skeleton.

The Skeleton King tilted his neck, dodging Phantom’s attack. At the same time, the protrusions on his body began to glow.

Sensing danger, Phantom immediately dodged away. The next moment, blades of light shot out from the Skeleton King’s body, instantly severing the vines that bound him.

The skeleton let out a laugh, about to taunt his foes, when dozens more vines erupted from the ground.

Therefore, while the vines couldn’t harm the Skeleton King, they were more than enough to restrain him.

To prevent Phantom from taking the opportunity to decapitate him while he was trapped, the Skeleton King was forced to repeatedly use the blades on his Bone Armor to unleash the beams of light.
