Global Lords: My Territory Heart Is a World Tree
Chapter 462: A Deal with the Crystal Core Giant
Chapter 462 -41: A Deal with the Crystal Core Giant
A few days later, Lin Yu once again summoned Dong Lin to spar. He also called for Chenxi, who had been handling administrative duties in the territory.
One Epic Hero and two Legendary Heroes fought to a standstill in the arena, with Lin Yu deliberately suppressing his power.
Now, Lin Yu had started using skills. The low-grade abilities he had learned, amplified by his immense attributes, had each become a skill comparable to a small nuclear explosion.
It was a good thing the territory had so many powerful heroes who could spar with him in a targeted manner. If Lin Yu had to train by himself, there was no telling how much he would destroy or how long it would take for him to control his skills.
“Alright, let’s end today’s training here!”
During the fight, Lin Yu stopped, looking at his three battered opponents.
“My Lord, it’s still early! We can keep sparring!” Dong Lin said, stretching his limbs. He felt like he hadn’t had enough of a fight for the day.
“Forget it. Just consider it a day off.” Lin Yu glanced over at Chenxi and Meiying, who were hastily recovering from their injuries, and shook his head.
“I’m having some new Mythical-grade plants I acquired planted in the Hanging Gardens today. Let’s all go take a look.”
“Yes, yes, balancing work and rest is a great idea,” Meiying chimed in. “Master, you can’t just focus on physical adaptation. With some proper rest, your control will actually improve.”
Dong Lin pursed his lips, but he knew that the effectiveness of constant training would eventually diminish.
Taking a break to clear his head was indeed beneficial, so he didn’t protest further.
A few minutes later, Lin Yu saw that the wounds on Chenxi and Meiying had vanished. He then asked, “Rested up? If so, let’s head out!”
The three nodded, and the group left the arena.
…
As the name implied, the Hanging Gardens was a garden in the sky.
Historically, it might have just been a very tall garden. But a Mythical-grade Hanging Gardens was truly a massive garden floating in the sky. This garden was constructed above the plaza to the north of the World Tree.
The four of them arrived at the plaza beneath the Hanging Gardens and used a Teleportation Array to reach the garden itself.
This Teleportation Array was the only way to enter the Hanging Gardens from the ground—though of course, one could also fly up directly.
The four of them saw many fairies in the Hanging Gardens. They had been assigned by the administrative center to work here, responsible for planting and tending to the territory’s flora.
Additionally, there were many uninvited Highly Poisonous Bees. The abundance of Spiritual Flowers in the Hanging Gardens had attracted them to gather nectar. It was likely that a new batch of spiritual honey would be produced soon.
The four of them slowly made their way to the top level of the Hanging Gardens. The rare and exotic plants along the path were so peculiar in shape that even after spending so much time in the World Tree Territory, they had rarely seen anything like them. It was truly as expected of a Mythical-grade structure.
They believed these plants must have additional value beyond just their appearance.
However, without detailed information, only a professional could identify them.
So, not knowing their specific effects, the group didn’t touch the plants’ fruits or roots, no matter how tempting they looked.
Fortunately, if there was one thing the territory had in abundance, it was Druids. In fact, everyone in their group was a Druid.
However, since they were in a hurry, they didn’t stop to study the plants. They could only tell at a glance that most were beneficial, with only a few being poisonous.
When the four of them reached the highest level of the garden, they saw a group of fairies bustling around two plants, casting spells on them in preparation for planting.
These two plants were the Peach Tree Seedling and the Money Tree seedling.
Seeing the four of them arrive, a fairy flew over.
“My Lord, the preparations are complete. All that’s left is to plant the two Divine Trees.”
Lin Yu looked at the two large pits that had been dug far apart from each other. Many Energy Crystals had already been placed inside.
“Begin!”
“Yes!”
The fairies carefully placed the two Divine Trees into the pits, covered them with soil, and watered them with Life Spring Water.
In an instant, the two Divine Trees blazed with a dazzling light.
Amidst the light, one of the Divine Trees began to grow rapidly. The territory’s Spiritual Energy converged on it, creating a violent gale of Spiritual Energy that swept across the entire domain.
This Divine Tree acted like a vacuum cleaner, sucking up all the Spiritual Energy in the territory.
In just a few breaths, the once-abundant Spiritual Energy in the territory was completely depleted, creating a vacuum.
After absorbing this energy, the Divine Tree stopped. The territory’s Spiritual Energy then began to slowly replenish, generated by the sprites and Great Elves living on the World Tree.
The Divine Tree had now grown into a behemoth. Its massive canopy covered the entire top level of the Hanging Gardens, leaving only the space above the other Divine Tree clear.
This rapidly growing Divine Tree was the Money Tree, while the other one that showed no movement was the Peach Tree Seedling.
Looking up at the leaves shaped like copper coins, Lin Yu blinked. He curiously plucked one, and the coin-like leaf began to flash in his hand.
“My Lord, what does this Divine Tree do?”
Chenxi, also curious, plucked a coin-shaped leaf as well, which began to flash in her hand.
“Ah!” The coin-like leaf flickered a few times before vanishing from Chenxi’s hand.
“What did it do?” Lin Yu asked, looking at Chenxi’s empty palm.
Chenxi looked dazed for a moment. “I heard a voice,” she said, “telling me my merit points increased by 10,000.”
