Global Lords: I Have Information System
Chapter 1100 - 597: Poison Swamp Melee
Accompanying the poison mist wall are javelins that spell death.
Chaos erupted again at the rear of the team!
All the Lords knew they were surrounded!
Due to the mist wall’s obstruction of vision, they couldn’t quickly see the enemy’s whereabouts and quantity.
Yet when the retreat was cut off, everyone’s war intent was instead heightened.
Enemies in front, enemies behind!
With no way front or back, the only choice was to fight to the death.
Thus, the Lords spontaneously split into two groups, attacking the mist walls in front and behind.
All sorts of crossbowmen and mages unleashed their powers first.
Arrows, crossbow arrows, and magic bullets shot out, making a grander spectacle than the attacks from within the mist wall.
The saying "a barrage of punches can kill the master" is evident here.
The advantage of numbers is apparent; when everyone starts fighting desperately, the gathered attack strength is terrifying.
Meanwhile, the mist walls kept advancing.
Until a valid counterattack was launched, the mist walls were within thirty meters.
At this moment, some Tier Three mages began to show their prowess.
Tier Three Group Attack Magic was unleashed one after another.
Strange phenomena erupted within the Poisonous Mist Swamp.
Red magic arrays appeared in the sky, with Fire Rain Magic baptizing the earth.
Dozens of bluish arc-shaped Wind Blades swept out.
The ground trembled, either bulging or sinking.
Vines grew wildly like tentacles, thrusting into the mist wall.
Muddy waves turned into surging torrents!
These were all the masterpieces of various mages.
In this environment, the effects of Fire Element Magic were the most outstanding.
Whether it was Fireballs, Fire Rain, or Fire Dragon Tornadoes, they could evaporate the poison mist.
These fire magic knives could easily slice off a portion of the mist wall.
A large cluster of dense damage values emerged.
After the magic baptism, close combat soldiers, Wolf Cavalry, and female hunters launched their assaults.
Simultaneously, Red-Scaled Dogmen Warriors within the mist wall charged forward, holding either bone or vine shields.
"Chatter, chatter!"
The Red-Scaled Dogmen squealed as they moved swiftly.
The rudimentary homemade shields they held had one or two arrows stuck in them, and the cracks from magic bullet explosions; many Dogmen Warriors had one or two arrows in their body.
However, their tough red scales made the arrows shallowly embedded, basically not affecting their movement.
These Red-Scaled Dogmen Warriors were taller and stronger than ordinary Burrow Dogmen.
They were formidable, with a spiked tail behind them.
Though called Dogmen, they did not resemble dogs.
Instead, their ferocity was akin to dragon-like creatures.
Over three hundred Red-Scaled Dogmen Warriors initiated a direct charge.
From the mist behind them, Red-Scaled Dogmen Crossbowmen and Red-Scaled Dogman Prophets crouched down to reduce their hit chance while quickly counterattacking.
The disparity in numbers made remote firepower skirmishes extremely important.
Under such circumstances, the Red-Scaled Dogmen Warriors were prepared for the worst.
Each minute they bought for the rear reduced their disadvantage a little.
As Red-Scaled Dogmen Warriors launched their assault, Lizardman Warriors at the rear also charged.
These guys resembled large lizards, crawling rapidly.
The battle spears launched earlier were their work too.
Now they clutched a battle spear in their hands, gripping it with both hands, aiming forward.
With their rapid crawling lower limbs, the mire couldn’t stop them.
Thus, they charged towards the Lords with their battle spears ready.
Behind these Lizardmen were one or two hundred Mire Crocodiles crawling closely behind.
An intense battle ensued!
The commotion in the swamp drew the attention of the Lords observing outside.
Standing hundreds of meters away from the Poisonous Mist Swamp, they could hear shouts, screams,
and explosion sounds capable of raising airwaves.
The pale green poison mist surrounding outside surged violently.
The outside Regional Channel buzzed with news of the ambush.
For a moment, discussions abounded.
Yet no one dared venture deeper.
Under the unwritten rule governing over profits, everyone held the principle of "You fight, I’ll feast."
Only the foolish would interfere during a full-on battle.
If luck turned sour, entering might mean cooling off eternally.
At this moment, Jiang Yi arrived with a squad of warriors at the swamp’s perimeter.
She sent other squads to eliminate Little Flame Demons, specifically leaving a squad to accompany her as a lookout.
The stirrings within the Poisonous Mist Swamp made her worried.
No one understood the internal situation better than her besides Zong Shen.
But she could do little, aside from regularly checking the Regional Channel for messages from the Lords within the swamp, and observing from outside.
The battle lasted longer than she expected.
Almost half an hour passed swiftly, the commotion from within diminished somewhat and was distinctly moving farther away.
This indicated the Lords were gradually penetrating deeper.
Meanwhile, dozens of scheming Lords with prepared Antitoxic Potions ventured inside the poison mist swamp without forming groups, never to emerge again.
Nervously, Jiang Yi clasped the communication crystal.
She planned to report to Zong Shen once the Lords pushed deeper into the mire or when the combat sounds vanished.
The battle continued for another half hour before dozens of Lords began retreating with remnant forces.
These Lords staggered out of the poison mist range, immediately surrounded by the observing Lords.
Some observing Lords wanted to exploit them.
However, more cared about the swamp’s internal battle situation.
They even actively provided these retreating Lords with potions that could restore their condition!
