Chen Tiannan only recalled Xu Jie’s words at this moment, and couldn’t help but fall into contemplation: "Perhaps, as the people from the Lan feng Gathering Place said, this Zombie still retains some human will, or even some human memories, which is why it’s so cunning."

"Moreover, we have also proven one thing—not only us humans, but perhaps all creatures can activate the Divine Inheritance."

"The Divine Inheritance being activated by a Zombie is a huge loss for us humans."

"Rosen, go and keep an eye on the Undead Tide, see if there’s any movement, and report back on any developments."

Rosen nodded: "No problem, I guarantee to complete the task."

Though they had just experienced a brutal battle, he still obeyed Captain Chen Tiannan’s order unconditionally.

In the Law Enforcement Team, the captain’s orders are above all, which is one of the reasons they can maintain combat effectiveness; their primary goal isn’t to clean up out-of-control Extraordinary but to find ways to strengthen themselves.

The Law Enforcement Team also nearly represents the highest combat force of humanity and are elites of humankind. Only powerful Extraordinary have the qualification to join, and they hold life-and-death power over Ordinary People. Even slaughtering a gathering place would not hold them accountable.

After all, slaughtering a gathering place that has been polluted is what they’re supposed to do.

"What is that sound?"

Chen Tiannan perceptively looked north, in the direction of the Undead Tide, as if hearing a sound, a howl in the void, carrying far and wide.

This kind of sound actually doesn’t exist, but he could hear it, and so could everyone present—all turning their gaze northward, as if a terrible thing was being born.

Rosen couldn’t help but shiver: "Is it that Zombie? Will it become something terrifying after gaining the Divine Inheritance?"

Humans gain powerful abilities when activating the Divine Inheritance, but what changes occur when a Zombie activates the mysterious inheritance is unknown; it may differ, potentially transforming into some horrible monster.

Zombies by themselves aren’t a stable race. During advancement, they might transform into something else, but overall, they’re still Zombie-type species, with great differences in appearance.

Acquiring the Divine Inheritance once again, Su Changxing didn’t gain new abilities but instead fortified the frenzy, or added a new attachment to the frenzy.

Marching Speed.

[Frenzy V1 (Divinity): The Undead Tide under your control will undergo incredible changes, with each Zombie receiving enhancements and certain Extraordinary Resistance.

Reality: Each Zombie in the Undead Tide will gain Extraordinary Resistance, reducing the impact of Extraordinary Power.

Thick-skinned V1: Each Zombie in the Undead Tide gains stronger Life Force, with Impact Resistance increased by 20%, Anti-Puncture Ability increased by 20%, Resistance increased by 20%.

Marching Speed V1: The Undead Tide moves faster, with each Zombie’s Speed increased by 10%, Agility increased by 10%, Resilience increased by 10%.

Note: This ability can continuously grow.]

Zombies are akin to the most basic infantry, without long-range attack capabilities, relying on hands to grab, mouths to bite, under such conditions, Speed is particularly important.

A 10% Speed increase might not sound significant, but in reality, during the day, Zombies are only a bit slower than Ordinary People. Adding a 10% speed increase makes it impossible for ordinary people to escape once targeted.

This improvement pertains not only to running speed but also action speed, enhancing attack frequency and intensity to some degree.

Speed and Power can both directly convert into damage.

After obtaining the Divine Inheritance, Su Changxing clearly felt his body falling into a state of hunger again, the Energy absorption rate changing once more, faster than before; he could fully absorb a Tier Eight Extraordinary Crystal in half an hour.

This is an incredibly intimidating speed; before receiving the Undead accomplishment, it took him days to absorb one Tier Eight Crystal, as his body had reached saturation.

Meanwhile,

his connection with the Undead Tide gradually became tighter, as if his will had already covered the entire Undead Tide, replacing its will.

He is the Undead Tide, and the Undead Tide is him.

He could effortlessly control the Undead Tide, managing every Zombie within, almost without expending any Spirit—like breathing, drinking water, eating, so natural.

His approach now bears some resemblance to the Insect Race, yet differs since these Zombies do not self-reproduce, nor do they lay eggs.

In retrospect, the Insect Race’s model should be far superior to his, capable of self-reproducing, laying eggs, evolving, and even leveraging different species’ genes to craft ideal creatures.

The Big Horn also underwent corresponding changes, although not controlled by Su Changxing, it was still affected by the Undead Tide; appearing to be counted as a member of the Undead Tide, the transformation extent was less than that of ordinary Zombies in the Undead Tide, possibly due to the Frenzy’s aura having only a third of the effect on him.

As it takes only half an hour to absorb a Tier Eight Extraordinary Crystal, the inventory in Su Changxing’s backpack likely wouldn’t last half a day, so he immediately initiated a hunting plan, dividing half of the Undead Tide to move outside the safe zone to hunt Extraordinary Creatures.

With the Undead Tide’s faster movement, hunting Extraordinary Creatures has relatively become simpler; surrounding them before the Extraordinary Creatures realize ensures almost inevitable successful hunts.
