Yi Xiaodong turned his head, glanced at her, and asked, "Is there something you need?"

Xu Jie paused for a moment, then leaned closer to Yi Xiaodong’s ear and whispered, "The Law Enforcement Team has arrived. They said they want to understand our situation."

"Quite a few came, about twenty or thirty, all strong Extraordinaries. I think they should be able to handle that Tentacle Monster."

"However... I didn’t tell them our exact location."

Yi Xiaodong listened to her words, remained silent for a moment, then said, "With so many of us, it’s still quite easy for them to find us."

"Later, don’t talk too much. Let me do the talking with them... That Zombie shouldn’t be a Divine Creature. We might have gotten it wrong."

Xu Jie was taken aback for a moment, then nodded, "No problem."

The Law Enforcement Team consists of strong Extraordinaries, the elite among humans. They had only heard of them before, never seen them with their own eyes, but knew they could seek their help in catastrophic dangers.

Over twenty people appeared travel-worn, led by a man wearing sunglasses with dark skin. His coat still bore quite a bit of yellow sand, which glittered like gold in the sunlight, or perhaps they were indeed gold sands.

"Hello, I am Chen Tiannan, the Captain of the Law Enforcement Team, here specifically to understand your situation."

"Hello, I am Yi Xiaodong, the leader of the Lan feng Gathering Place."

The two formally shook hands, and Yi Xiaodong could distinctly feel the pressure emanating from the Law Enforcement Team Captain, as if a mountain was pressing upon his chest, making it hard to breathe.

But.

He was also quite certain that the Law Enforcement Team Captain was definitely no match for that Tentacle Monster. As for whether the entire Law Enforcement Team could be a match, that remained unknown.

"We need more detailed information about the Divine Creatures. This is very important; any mistakes could plunge not just you but the entire Sector 2 into Darkness."

The Law Enforcement Team Captain spoke calmly, yet his tone was full of pressure. Fortunately, Yi Xiaodong’s psychological resilience was reasonably strong, showing no abnormalities.

Yi Xiaodong paused, then gave a stiff smile, "Just a few days ago, our gathering place encountered that Divine Creature. It sprang from underground and headed straight towards us."

"We suspect it has something to do with the Believers of the Doomsday Cult. This thing was originally bound underground in a demarcated area and was released, with significant hostility towards us."

"The Divine Creature had over a dozen massive tentacles emerging from the ground, yet it never fully revealed its form. Most of our gathering place’s people have been polluted, but as it stands, this pollution doesn’t seem transmissible."

The reason for emphasizing this is that another Divine Creature’s pollution was indeed transmissible and almost spread through the gathering place.

Of course, the Law Enforcement Team Captain did not notice this detail.

Upon hearing Yi Xiaodong’s account, the Law Enforcement Team Captain couldn’t help but frown and said in a deep voice, "This is different from the information you initially provided. Wasn’t it said that the Divine Creature appeared as a Zombie? How has it now turned into a Tentacle Monster?"

Yi Xiaodong smoothly replied, "Perhaps we hadn’t seen a real Divine Creature before, leading to an erroneous initial judgment. That Zombie wasn’t a Divine Creature, just a higher-level Zombie with some intelligence. The Tentacle Monster we encountered later is the true Divine Creature."

No one would have expected two Divine Creatures to appear within a single region.

If he hadn’t experienced it himself, he would find it hard to believe, too.

After hearing Yi Xiaodong’s explanation, the Law Enforcement Team Captain showed no significant change in his expression, merely musing, "So the Zombie had the ability to control the Undead Tide."

Yi Xiaodong nodded, "Yes, it possessed the ability to control the Undead Tide, attacking through it. Those tentacles reaching from the ground actually saved us."

Xu Jie couldn’t help but interject, "That Zombie never had the intention of actively attacking us, and even showed goodwill. I suspect it retained some human consciousness."

"Though it sounds absurd, I still hope you, the esteemed members of the Law Enforcement Team, can accept this notion."

Both knowingly denied that Su Changxing was a Divine Creature.

Not for any other reason, but because the Tentacle Monster was far stronger, and these people from the Law Enforcement Team were not entirely trustworthy...

Yi Xiaodong couldn’t help but doubt their intentions for coming here. Perhaps it wasn’t just to resolve the trouble of the Divine Creature but might also have something to do with the Genetic Chain.

No one could refuse the legacy of a God!

It’s well known that powerful Extraordinaries often lack a bit of humanity...

After hearing Xu Jie’s statement, the Law Enforcement Team Captain merely smiled slightly and showed little reaction, "I have understood the information you provided. Rest well, strive to combat the infection, and maintaining oneself is very important. We must leave now due to time constraints."

Seeing this reaction from the Law Enforcement Team Captain, Xu Jie was momentarily stunned. Clearly, the other party hadn’t really considered her words, perhaps only as irrelevant references.

After Yi Xiaodong and Xu Jie left, laughter arose within the Law Enforcement Team.

"These two have probably already had their minds warped by pollution, even claiming that a Zombie might retain human consciousness or goodwill towards humans."

"It’s so absurd. Captain, I think these people are heavily polluted. Why don’t we just deal with them directly to avoid potential problems later?" Huangmao, wearing a dark green jacket, mocked, speaking with such casual disregard, as if the lives of these more than six hundred people meant nothing.
