"Sir, our Evolver team was ambushed and we’ve lost contact!"

"What!" Bao Mu shot to his feet. "How is that possible?"

The subordinate who came to report continued, "Their last message said they were being attacked by an unknown team. We’ve already sent speedboats over, but so far, there’s been no news!"

"Another unknown team?" Bao Mu’s brow furrowed tightly.

"According to the Evolver team’s description, the speedboats the enemy was driving were identical to our base’s!"

Bao Mu paused. His first reaction had been that the staff officer was playing a spy-versus-spy game, coordinating with Jing Shu to trap and kill their Evolvers. Now, it seemed that wasn’t necessarily the case.

"It seems it’s the same team that attacked our supply ship!" Bao Mu said with a frown. "Their base is most likely near Dawn Base. Otherwise, it’s impossible that they could ambush us in the area every single time!"

"But we’ve already searched most of the sea in that vicinity!" the subordinate replied, his brow also furrowed.
