Yu Ren and his eight companions followed Lin Mu and the others toward the western part of the Banyan Forest.

When they reached the designated spot, Yu Ren spoke up. "Do you have any axes? We can start by chopping down some bamboo."

Lin Mu smiled and shook his head. "No need to go to all that trouble!"

Then, to the utter astonishment of Yu Ren and his group, Lin Mu led all the Wood-Type Evolvers in reshaping the bamboo, occasionally having the Gold-Type Evolvers reinforce it.

Some of the bamboo was too saturated, so the Water-Type and Fire-Type Evolvers each showed off their skills to remove the excess moisture.

With everyone working together, nine bamboo houses were quickly constructed.

"You... you’re all Evolvers?" Yu Ren’s eyes widened, his face a mask of disbelief.

Lin Mu nodded.

’Outside, Evolvers are as rare as exotic animals. How can there be so many here?’ Yu Ren was shocked.

"Actually, the ones who didn’t use their Superpowers are Evolvers too—Earth-Types. There just wasn’t a role for them to play here." Lin Mu’s words left Yu Ren and his group completely stunned.

After a long moment, Yu Ren finally asked, "You mean... all of you are Evolvers?"

Lin Mu nodded. "It seems you don’t know enough about our base yet! We’ve successfully developed an Evolution Potion—one with a one hundred percent success rate!"

"What? How is that possible!" Yu Ren cried out in alarm.

Lin Mu completely understood Yu Ren’s shock. So many large bases, including those in the technologically advanced Sea Eagle Country, had reported no such breakthroughs, yet Peach Blossom Base had managed to develop it first.

"Nothing is impossible. The world has already become this strange; we just have to keep up with its magical pace." Lin Mu said with a smile, "Those are the Chief’s own words. I’m passing them on to you."

Yu Ren was slightly taken aback, then nodded.

Tu Chong asked cautiously from the side, "Minister Lin, will we have a chance to use the Evolution Potion?"

The ordinary people with them all pricked up their ears.

"Of course, you’ll have a chance! As long as you can offer your loyalty." Lin Mu gave a slight smile. "The Chief has said that loyalty is the absolute priority. Nothing else matters."

Tu Chong and the others nodded, lost in thought.

"Go ahead and assign the houses among yourselves. You’ll need to collect your daily necessities from Minister Xin," Lin Mu reminded them.

Yu Ren nodded. "Alright, we’ll head over right now."

They soon arrived where Xin Wan was and explained their purpose.

"The bedsheets, duvet covers, and other supplies we have in stock right now were all salvaged from the water. After being washed and dried, we found that the material isn’t very durable anymore. You’ll have to make do with these for now. We’ll replace them once the base can produce its own fabric," Xin Wan said to Yu Ren and his group as she brought the items out from the warehouse.

Yu Ren nodded. "Okay. It’s great that we have anything to use at all. We’re not picky!"

Each of them took a set and headed back toward their bamboo houses.

"My lord..."

Tu Chong had barely started to speak when Yu Ren shot him a glare. "There are no ’my lords’ here, only Yu Ren!"

Tu Chong chuckled. "Brother Yu, I was just going to say, the benefits at Peach Blossom Base are amazing!"

Yu Ren nodded. "They are. If I’d known how good Peach Blossom Base was, I would have shamelessly clung to the bottom of Minister Qin’s boat and followed him here the first time we met!"

Gao Dian laughed. "If you’d come then, they might have treated you like an enemy agent and kicked you out!"

"I’m not so sure about that. Brother Yu is so strong, it’s not a given that anyone at Peach Blossom Base could have beaten you," Aiti said, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose and shaking his head.

Hearing this, Yu Ren immediately recalled his earlier match and said with emotion, "Peach Blossom Base isn’t as simple as you think. There are many masters here. My skills are nothing special."

At his words, Tu Chong and the others were all stunned.

They had all witnessed Yu Ren’s strength. Even the Evolvers from Xi’an Base were no match for him.

And now, Yu Ren was actually admitting defeat?

’Could it be that he had already fought someone from Peach Blossom Base?’

Seeing their expressions, Yu Ren spread his hands. "You guessed right. I just fought a match against their Chief. He could crush me with one hand."

"What? The Chief is that strong?" Tu Chong’s eyes went wide.

Yu Ren was exasperated. "What would I gain from lying to you?"

With that, he quickened his pace and walked ahead.

Tu Chong and the others hurried to catch up.

"Brother Yu, what type of Evolver is the Chief to be so powerful?"

"The Chief didn’t even use his Superpower..."

"He beat you without using a Superpower? Don’t tell me the Chief is a Mutant too?"

"You’re overthinking it! I already asked. The Chief is a Wood-Type Evolver!"

"Wood-Type Evolvers are that strong?"

"You’ll have to ask the Chief that!"

"Actually, you don’t even need to ask. Just look at this Banyan Forest we’re in, the Duckweed under our feet, and the covered walkways all over the base. It’s all clearly the masterpiece of a Wood Superpower User!"

Chattering amongst themselves, the group returned to their bamboo houses.

After making his bed, Yu Ren looked at the bamboo house. Though the space was small, it had everything one could need. To his surprise, he felt a faint sense of belonging.

’This is my very own little nest!’

Just then, Lin Mu’s voice came from outside. "Brother Yu, and everyone else, it’s time for lunch! Let’s go get some food together!"
