Chapter 183: Chapter 153: They’re All Lunatics, I Don’t Know

"We have different jobs."

The excuse was incredibly flimsy.

"Of course. There are always people who hang back and hide!"

"Those people have bad intentions to begin with. When twenty-three large ships team up to go somewhere, you know they were gunning for Peach Blossom Base!"

"Still, I have to respect the guts of those who are actually charging their ships at the Magpie Country fleet. They might not be good people, but at least they’re a damn sight better than the cowards hiding in the back!"

The regional channel erupted with condemnations for the large ships hanging back.

But the three large ships completely ignored the other survivors’ accusations. Reputation didn’t matter. The only thing that mattered was staying alive!

Besides, while the survivors were talking tough, they had no idea who was on those three ships. This fact only made the crews of those ships more brazen.

Wang Jun, who had already gone to bed, was woken up. When he saw the news in the regional channel, he was completely stunned.

"That’s the Magpie Country fleet’s position!" Wang Jun said, surprised. "Magpie Country... HJS... the Han Jin Association! Holy crap, ’don’t tell me Peach Blossom Base knew all along!’"

He suddenly remembered Ren Yuanyang asking him about these very things not long ago. Back then, Yuanyang had claimed he’d just seen them in a K-drama.

’I believe you, my ass. That young man is a crafty one!’

At this thought, Wang Jun immediately sent a message to Ren Yuanyang: "Taoyuan Yang, you didn’t know all along that was the Magpie Country fleet’s position, did you?"

"I just found out myself. It looks like quite a few countries have entered Dragon Country territory! I told everyone not to go over there, but you see, they just wouldn’t listen. Nothing I could do!" Ren Yuanyang started playing dumb.

Wang Jun naturally read between the lines. Ren Yuanyang was expressing his displeasure with the large ships that had ganged up and gone over.

"Hmm, you’re not wrong. You can’t reason with fools rushing to their deaths. Let them be," Wang Jun nodded slightly. "But we can’t let those foreigners swagger around in our territory either."

"With so many of our large ships working together, it shouldn’t be a problem. Even if they just ram them one by one, they can cripple the Magpie Country fleet!" Ren Yuanyang felt the Dragon Kingdom United Fleet would definitely win.

Wang Jun paused for a moment. "That’s true. I hope they can secure a smooth victory!"

"We just have to wait for news of their victory. I’m going to keep an eye on the regional channel!" Ren Yuanyang said, ending the chat.

"Alright, I’ll go check it out too!" Wang Jun replied, switching over to the regional channel.

By now, the voices condemning the freeloaders had died down, and a survivor brought up a new question.

"The floods have completely submerged all land. How are so many foreigners still showing up in Dragon Country’s territory?"

"Maybe because Dragon Country is some kind of blessed land?"

"The whole world is underwater, what ’blessed land’? Stop kidding yourself!"

Ren Yuanyang thought for a moment before offering his theory: "It might be because our country has the World’s Roof. After the floods began, they all wanted to come here to escape the disaster. But they were wary of our aircraft carriers, so they could only approach slowly and cautiously. Then they discovered the World’s Roof was also submerged, so they weren’t in a rush anymore. Some fleets just stopped in place. Lvzhi Country has its own aircraft carrier and is backed by a Sea Eagle Country carrier, so they were faster and reached the World’s Roof ahead of others."

"An expert is on another level. So quick to figure things out!"

"That’s some pretty stiff bootlicking! But the expert’s analysis really does make sense!"

"So, you’re saying Lvzhi Country’s Feixiang Aircraft Carrier was already at the World’s Roof?"

Just then, Wang Jun spoke up, confirming Ren Yuanyang’s speculation. "He’s right. We established the Aircraft Carrier Base here precisely because of the World’s Roof’s location."

If the floods ever recede, the World’s Roof would be the first piece of land to re-emerge.

"No wonder so many foreign fleets have come our way!"

"Looks like we’ll have to be more careful from now on. Our own people might show some compassion for their countrymen, but foreigners won’t!"

"This just proves the expert from Peach Blossom Base was right to warn us. Don’t approach if you don’t know who they are. Our United Fleet is probably going to take heavy losses this time!"

"That’s a given! They’ve got heavy weaponry and our fleet doesn’t. Even if we win, it’ll probably be a pyrrhic victory!"

"So, does that mean our base can go over and pick up the scraps?"

"I bet that’s what those three freeloader ships are thinking too!"

Meanwhile, the battle at the front raged on. The Han Jin Association’s large ships fired shell after shell while trying to move aside, attempting to dodge the oncoming vessels.

The two sides were so close that the gunners didn’t even need to aim; they could land direct hits on the enemy ships.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The force of the exploding shells tore through the large ships’ defenses. Black smoke was already billowing from their decks.

They hadn’t engaged in close-quarters combat yet. Everyone was hiding deep inside their ships. Only the helmsmen remained at their posts, steering straight for the enemy vessels to ram them.

On average, for every vessel in the Han Jin Association Fleet, at least three enemy ships were bearing down on it for a ram. They were already surrounded and had no room to evade.

Even with cannons, they couldn’t possibly sink all three large ships in time!

"Dammit! Lunatics! They’re all lunatics!" Park Yiye cursed.

He’d thought his cannons would scare off the Dragon Country fleet. He figured he could chase down a few ships, sink them, and collect some loot. He never expected the Dragon Country People to be so insane they’d just steer right into them!

"Chairman, report! We can’t evade! Please prepare for impact, sir!" a crewman ran over to report.

Park Yiye immediately gripped a nearby handrail, his face grim. "Prepare for battle," he ordered. "They’ll try to board after they ram us. You must hold them back!"

"Yes, sir!"

CRASH!

A tremendous crash echoed as the ships collided. Some of them even became locked together, impossible to separate.

The crews of the three large ships, watching the fight from a safe distance, sent a video of the United Fleet crashing into the Han Jin Association Fleet to the regional channel. Everyone who saw it was astounded.

When Ren Yuanyang saw the video, he casually turned off his phone, tossed it aside, and got ready for bed.

’As long as they’ve made contact, the outcome of this battle is set in stone. I’d better get some rest. I still have to prepare for the Evolution Potion experiment tomorrow.’
