Chapter 722: Chapter 331: The Heaven-Reaching Tower Is Baffled

Before the Dragon Bone Celestial Tower, Lu Wenwu remained silent for a long time before finally realizing the crux of the problem.

The Dragon Race’s virtual age…

It’s just a little bit long, born at a virtual age of a hundred.

And that’s at least a hundred.

If there’s a setback or some other messy issue, according to Silver Dragon Isidro, the incubation period could last up to three hundred and twenty-eight years.

In other words, even calculating by the shortest incubation time, a young dragon will remain in the form of a dragon egg for the first hundred years after being born.

Lu Wenwu…

Even if you count all the time in secret realms, illusion realms, and all these miscellaneous occurrences, he hasn’t technically even reached thirty.

In terms of the Dragon Race’s life progression, he’s definitely a dragon egg.

The kind that you can see the yolk once cracked open!

This directly threw off the detection program of the Dragon Bone Celestial Tower.

Fortunately, this doesn’t affect the trial process.

A solemn and authoritative voice echoed in his mind: “Would you like to initiate the Heaven-Reaching Trial?”

This voice was very familiar, exactly like the Dragon God’s Will, just lacking a bit of emotion, like an AI’s synthetic voice.

“Initiate,” Lu Wenwu silently recited in his mind.

“The trial has been initiated,” the authoritative voice said again, “My people and descendants, always remember the pride and power of the Dragon Race, and move forward courageously, face your fears!”

Lu Wenwu only saw a flash of silver light in front of him, and the Power of Space surged.

It seemed he was teleported into some unique space.

Once he found solid ground beneath his feet again, he looked around and discovered he had entered a space entirely composed of pale gold.

He couldn’t see any sun, moon, or stars above, nor any landscapes or rivers below; the boundaries were beyond sight.

Even when he extended his Divine Sense in one direction, he couldn’t detect the borders of this space.

Was it a combination of the Power of Space and an Illusion Realm?

Lu Wenwu pondered.

Just then, the golden light and shadows shifted.

Suddenly, the entire world turned dark as if the heavens and earth had turned upside down.

In front of him, countless shadowy evil figures seemed to appear, unconsciously inducing a sense of palpitations and fear.

A strong sense of oppression poured down from above like a mountain, heavily weighing on Lu Wenwu’s shoulders.

“Mental intimidation, combined with a certain level of aura oppression?”

Seeing the light pathway appear before him, Lu Wenwu took large strides forward without hesitation, as if the weight was nothing on him.

The end of the light pathway held a door, and the challenge seemed to be to reach the end.

The first level for young dragons shouldn’t be too difficult.

As Lu Wenwu continued forward, countless cold shadows surrounded him.

Upon a closer look, they appeared to be incomplete undead giant dragons or perhaps packs of dragon-hunting warrior teams.

As a naturally fearless top ghost messenger of the Underworld, Lu Wenwu knew not what fear was.

Traversing even the eighteen levels of Asura Hell felt like returning home, let alone these illusion realms targeting the Dragon Race.

Thus, what was a psychological shadow to other young dragons was merely a breeze to him.

Lu Wenwu even began to evaluate as he walked, noting many exploitable flaws.

These he silently kept in mind, intending to suggest improvements should he ever meet the Dragon God in person.

In about half a minute, Lu Wenwu casually strolled to the end of the light pathway.

Just as he expected, upon stepping through the Light Sect, the Dragon God’s synthetic voice congratulated him for passing the first level.

The familiar silver glitter of space shimmered as he moved on to the second level.

Upon reaching the second level and understanding the testing method, Lu Wenwu was instantly disinterested.

The method was exactly the same.

Only the scenery was more terrifying, the oppression stronger, the simulation more realistic.

Additionally, the scene’s NPCs had more skills and effects, giving the feeling of a VR experience.

It simply required greater spiritual power, physical attributes, and stronger willpower to pass through.

The distance of the light path was longer, but it was merely old wine in a new bottle.

Does this thing truly serve any training purpose?

Lu Wenwu was dubious as he briskly began his rapid pass-through.

While he found it uninteresting, Felix and the gathering of old dragons behind were stunned.

Though they’d mentally prepared for Lu Wenwu’s power, the sight of this mountain and valley of young dragons was immensely shocking.

Is this really a traditional young dragon gathering activity?

Are you sure it’s not a one-sided “massacre”?

And does this kid have that much energy, bringing down all the young dragons and then heading straight for the Dragon Bone Celestial Tower?

As Felix pondered, an old dragon abruptly descended from the mountain peak, practically crashing to the ground.

“Grand Elder, you should take a look at this! Quickly, head to the Dragon Bone Celestial Tower!” the old dragon shouted anxiously.

“What’s happening with the Celestial Tower? Did something happen to Xiaowu?”

Felix’s heart tightened upon hearing this, and he quickly soared into flight, leaping up to the mountain peak and arriving beside the Dragon Bone Celestial Tower.

Several Dragon Race elders were already gathered here.

Besides the prior Green Dragon Green and Black Dragon Blake, a smaller Blue Dragon had also arrived.

“What happened? Is it Xiaowu… oh #…%#…%! The spine of the Dragon God! Has the Celestial Tower malfunctioned!?”

Felix couldn’t help but curse while watching the ever-changing and leaping levels on the Magic Array.
