Chapter 704 - 322: You Are a Disgrace to the Title of Mage! (Part 2)

The ferocious Bath Fire Demon Dragon Staff instantly shattered Bula’s prized Dark Night Bloodthorn, striking directly at his black and red intertwined body.

"Boom!"

The entire academy was alarmed by this strike.

The drowsy students felt as if there was a fire dragon soaring into the sky.

Rolling air waves spread in all directions, a small-scale Elemental Tsunami erupted in the sanctuary forest.

Within the wind pressure range wrought by the magic staff, all objects and creatures were crushed by this ferocious power, evenly mixed and spread flat on the ground.

From then on, the sanctuary forest had a vast, ultra-flat square.

Even the hardest stones were ground to dust.

To say the least, Bula, an assassin among mages, could definitely be called terrifying in mage internal warfare.

On the Gods Continent, where casters are as fragile as glass cannons, a Low-Tier Assassin seizing the right moment could potentially kill a Truth-level Wizard whose magic power is exhausted and without magic items for protection.

But if it’s a Warrior or Knight, that’s a dream best not pursued.

Even if a High-tier Close Combat Professional just stood there for you to hit, you wouldn’t break their defense.

Now the Blood Demon faced just such a situation.

Unfortunately, Lu Wenwu was an invincible close combatant, a fusion of tank and warrior.

Trying to decapitate him using methods meant for assassinating mages?

A bit like falling into a trap voluntarily.

Lu Wenwu, wielding the flaming Magic Staff, took large strides toward the front.

There, a shadow of black and red slowly emerged.

Under the shadow, the emaciated and skeletal Ilder lay quietly, his brows furrowed, his face filled with immense pain.

Previously youthful and full of vibrant life energy, his body now exhibited signs of aging, his skin, once whitened and glossy from magic’s saturation, now weathered like a farmer’s, lacking elasticity.

His hair had turned a shocking gray, as if he was an overworked, middle-aged man in his forties or fifties, exhaustion and aging pronounced on his body.

"It seems your power depends on how much life energy Mr. Ilder has left within him?" Lu Wenwu glanced and immediately saw the outcome without needing the Eye of True Sight.

After so many worlds’ trials, he was no longer Wuxia Ameng; experiences connected many things.

Ilder, life was in countdown mode.

Even if he advanced to the Realm of Truth on the spot, he wouldn’t live past a century.

The Origin had been depleted too much.

As the "Golden Finger Grandpa," Blood Demon Bula seemed powerful at the moment but it was actually a façade of prosperity.

Unlike Elder Yao’s possession that consumed his own soul power, each of Bula’s strikes, each evasion, forcibly drew life power from within Ilder as casting energy.

Life power was a broad term.

In fact, it included the commonly known life energy, the qi blood more familiar to warriors and knights, and even the soul power adeptly used by undead creatures and undead mages.

Qi blood and life energy could be supplemented with external items.

But for the soul, those without special magic techniques could only recuperate.

A minor loss might just mean a dearth of vitality that could be supplemented by rest.

A significant loss, and a person would become useless.

It starts with declining consciousness, leading to losing control over body functions, life ticking away.

"You’re definitely not a freshman at Magick! How much did that little brat Fierce Sun pay you to set me up?"

The Blood Demon’s form faded slightly compared to before, with vigilance and killing intent growing stronger in his eyes.

"You’re not a Law God, nor a Truth. This level of power, purely physical, immune to high-tier magic, could only be achieved by a dragon of the same realm. An adult Black Dragon, or a young Black Dragon with a special bloodline?"

"Sorry, neither." Lu Wenwu shrugged. "The Fierce Sun you mentioned should be the headmaster? We only spoke at the opening ceremony, but what you said is right, I solved a problem for the school, I should receive a reward."

"Impossible! Except for those good-natured fools the Silver Dragons, no dragon would help humans unconditionally!"

The Blood Demon exclaimed, black Qi surging in his hand.

"Even an adult Silver Dragon couldn’t have your physical strength. I have killed those with ancient bloodlines of Silver Dragons before!"

"Name your terms, let me go, I don’t want this fool Ilder, his body and soul are yours."

"Power, strength, status, wealth, I can give you everything you want! Do you want to know the secrets of the Divine Spirits? I have entered the Divine Country of the God of Blood and Night, I can take you in!"

"Are you sure you can give me everything I want?" Lu Wenwu’s eyes lit up.

The Blood Demon paused, then hurriedly nodded: "Yes, if you aren’t assured, we can sign the Ancient Covenant, with the God of Blood and Night as witness."

He had only casually said it, never truly expecting someone would agree to such a thing.

Normally, such words were just to delay for an escape.

Yet if he could truly buy off a dragon that infiltrated the Magick Magic Academy for such a price, it would be a highly profitable deal.

"My request is simple, if you can cook a more delicious egg-filled pancake with the same ingredients as me, you can leave." Lu Wenwu stated, "I might even take you as my teacher."

"Egg-filled pancake?"

The Blood Demon was completely bewildered, egg-filled pancake, what on earth is that, I’ve never even heard of it?

It sounds like a simple dish, doesn’t it?

"Isn’t this a type of food? Why would you make such a request? I said everything, everything! Power, status, wealth, strength, don’t you want any of that? Do you have no higher aspirations?"

"Of course I do, egg-filled pancakes." Lu Wenwu said earnestly. "All other matters are just paving the way for egg-filled pancakes, they aren’t important, I’m not that interested in them."

"Don’t tell me you cultivate just to make better-tasting egg-filled pancakes?" The Blood Demon’s expression was clearly losing composure.

"Of course, otherwise why else would I cultivate." Lu Wenwu nodded affirmatively, "Without cultivation, I can’t access many ingredients, nor would I have the ability and time to delve into more advanced culinary techniques, is there a problem with that?"

"Of course there’s a problem!" The Blood Demon yelled in exasperation, "You’re just a cook, cultivating for culinary research, why are you so capable in combat!"

"Of course, it’s for self-preservation, what else?" Lu Wenwu asked puzzledly, "However, now that you mention it, I admit that researching fist techniques and improving purity is indeed quite interesting, though still not as good as egg-filled pancakes."

"Damn it, turns out you’re an insane fool!"

The Blood Demon exploded in the air with anger, black Qi and blood mist scattered in all directions, vanishing almost instantly.

"You cursed thing! Stay here and keep making your egg-filled pancakes! When I, the Blood Demon, reemerge at my peak in Magick, I look forward to seeing your face filled with fear then!"

"Oh?"

Lu Wenwu smiled calmly, swinging his Bath Fire Demon Dragon Staff down fiercely at a certain area in the air.

In an instant, the violent power shattered the space, crudely smashing a black shadow tainted with blood out of it!

Who else could it be but the Blood Demon?

The Bath Fire Demon Dragon Staff had pierced through the Shadow Space Layer, exposing the hidden Blood Demon back into the Prime Material Plane.

Lu Wenwu bent down, grasping the struggling Blood Demon tightly, staring directly into those eyes capable of chilling a person just by looking, his hand exerting force.

The Blood Demon’s head deformed under his fingertips, resembling a balloon, unevenly shaped.

Laughing maniacally, he said, "You brainless fool, you don’t understand the might of Blood Demon Bula! I am the chosen of the God of Blood and Night, I am immortal! Immortal, understand? Even if you kill me, I will still be rebo..."

"Bang!"

All chatter was abruptly halted, leaving only the sound of gradually diminishing rain and Ilder’s heavy, bellows-like breathing in the entire forest.

Lu Wenwu mercilessly crushed the Blood Demon’s head, nearly purifying his bizarre soul completely.

In his hand, amid the dancing flames, a remarkably pure and refined Soul Fragment remained intact.

This fragment, originating from the Blood Demon!

"I know, regarding this matter, I actually consider myself quite knowledgeable."

Lu Wenwu muttered, feeling the Underworld civil servant card in his backpack shining even more brightly.
