Global Dungeon: I Can See the Status Bar
Chapter 554 - 250: It’s Just Going Home, What’s So Complicated? (Part 2)
"That’s enough." Lu Wenwu chuckled, "I already know how to open the door, it’s not something too profound."
As he spoke, he directly activated the True Dragon Battle Body to the extreme, suddenly transforming into a black True Dragon, under the dragon claw, a seven-colored precious light emerged.
With a step of the dragon claw, Lu Wenwu transformed into a black dragon and began to circle above the Dragon Palace, with his presence the Dragon Power reached its peak, emitting an earth-shattering dragon roar.
Even underwater, this dragon roar reverberated far, causing the entire ocean to seem to shake.
The originally lifeless Dragon Palace City was illuminated at this moment, rejuvenated with unprecedented vitality.
Endless brilliance burst forth from the city, paving a path in the sky made entirely of pure light.
Or perhaps... a light bridge spanning over the Dragon Palace!
Under the path, various exquisite immortal flowers were carved, and on the railings on both sides, intricately beautiful and lifelike dragon pattern reliefs were engraved, resembling miniature True Dragons winding upon them.
At the end of this light bridge, it connected to that mysterious Dragon Palace City.
"This! It’s open already!? This... This is simply unbelievable! The road to the Dragon Palace actually appeared right under my feet! I see the bridge leading to the gate!"
The Celestial Fire God felt a surge of heat rushing straight to his spiritual pinnacle, so excited he could hardly contain himself.
Even though he still couldn’t see the entirety of the Dragon Palace City, this Dragon Bridge already made him wildly ecstatic.
This is a scene that countless cultivators and those of the Demon Race are destined never to witness!
Now, right beneath his feet!
"Bro... Brother Wu... How... how did you do it? How did you... how did you know how to open the Dragon Palace’s gate?" The Celestial Fire Demon God asked stammeringly.
"I don’t know, I guessed. It’s actually quite easy to guess, right?"
Having returned to his dragon-man form, Lu Wenwu walked on the Dragon Bridge, habitually shrugged.
"You need to know, this is just a procedure for opening the door, not overly complicated, who would put eighty locks on their front door for no reason? Making it so cumbersome would make coming and going so troublesome?"
"With the pride and vanity of the True Dragon Race, the answer is already evident, they didn’t even hide it, it’s right there in the open."
"It’s actually just a simple bloodline breath detection device plus voice-controlled lock, aside from those flashy special effects, there’s really nothing special about it, the Five Elements Array Sect just sells these things."
"Huh?" The Celestial Fire Demon God was dumbfounded, "No way? So simple? But this is the Dragon Palace! The legendary Dragon Palace! Wasn’t that dragon roar just now reciting some kind of special magic spell?"
Lu Wenwu laughed and explained, "I need to correct you a bit, you think it’s mysterious because you don’t understand the meaning of Dragon Roar. What I shouted just now was actually quite simple — I’m back, open the door."
"Huh???"
The Celestial Fire Demon God felt that his admiration for the True Dragon Race was shattered into pieces.
"As I said, this is just a door lock, piling on a bunch of procedures is so cumbersome to get home." Lu Wenwu laughed heartily, "See, these True Dragons are just so vain, the statues are simply everywhere."
Before they realized it, they had already arrived in front of the Dragon Palace City’s gate.
It was definitely a gate that could be described as extremely luxurious and magnificent, at least fifty zhang tall, and likewise, it was filled with imposing True Dragon reliefs.
Each scale was formed by slicing top-grade spirit stones into thin sheets and embedding them, the dragon eyes even used the demon core of Nascent Soul Stage demon beasts, refined and shrunk as the dragon’s eyeballs.
If such a gate were moved to the Cultivation Realm, it’s estimated that Divinity Transformation cultivators would break their heads fighting over it, enough to spark wars among top immortal sects.
"The legendary Celestial Dragon Sect gate, the portal to Dragon Palace City..."
The Celestial Fire Demon God looked dazed, mumbling.
"According to records in the classics, this gate possesses all kinds of incredible power, capable of purifying mixed dragon bloodline, each time opening requires eighteen Divinity Transformation... huh?"
Before he finished speaking, Lu Wenwu casually pulled open the two long-sealed Celestial Dragon gates.
One must say, the craftsmanship of the Dragon Race is commendable.
After so many years without maintenance, there was no sound from the door hinges when opening.
Lu Wenwu forcefully widened the gap, speaking casually, "What’s all this about this and that, they’re just two ordinary large doors piled with a bunch of precious materials, not even an automatic opening array."
"There’s not a single defensive restriction on this?" The Celestial Fire Demon God once again froze, "I don’t understand, isn’t it supposed to require eighteen Divinity Transformation demon cultivators to open together? If it’s just an ordinary door, why... why is this?"
"When the external defenses are already opened to your doorstep, what need is there for restrictions? Can your door really be more formidable than the outer layer with its two thousand array nested defense layers?" Lu Wenwu retorted, "If I’m not wrong, when you were alive, you probably didn’t have much fortune, right?"
"I am alive now!" The Celestial Fire Demon God muttered softly, "But in the past... um... I indeed wasn’t wealthy. The demon race ostracized me, and among humans, I could only be considered a loose cultivator... just... but how did you realize?"
The guy awkwardly shifted the topic, attempting to bypass the awkwardness in his demon life.
"Because you don’t have the mindset of Brother Fu."
Lu Wenwu entered through the opened gap, admiring the city’s scenery.
"Other than opening the door for practical purposes, the Divinity Transformation demons are merely there to flaunt the Dragon Race’s extravagance and face. An automatic door, compared to someone manually opening the door for you, provides far stronger mental satisfaction."
"The Divinity Transformation demon race, who could be lords over mountains and dominate one area in the outside world, can only serve as gatekeepers for the Dragon Race in Dragon Palace City, just hearing this shows the grandeur."
"Well... If we can find the passage used by the Clans back then, you should see the kind of door packed with restrictions you’re imagining."
The Celestial Fire Demon God was stunned: "The Clans don’t use this way?"
Lu Wenwu rolled his eyes: "Isn’t that obvious? What kind of proud and narcissistic race is the True Dragon Race that slaves and masters enter and exit through the same route? Would the masters still be masters? Without differentiating in every aspect, how do you divide different classes?"
"What’s the difference..." The Celestial Fire Demon God muttered softly.
"There’s no difference, but it represents etiquette, hierarchy, and class, a system inevitably formed by a wise race upon civilization, humans and dragons undoubtedly lead the way." Lu Wenwu replied, "It seems your learning from the human world needs deepening."
The Celestial Fire Demon God felt a bit disillusioned, the admiration for the once-adored Dragon Race now shattered along with his worldview.
The plain old Demon God’s worldview just underwent a devastating blow and remolding.
While the Celestial Fire Demon God wondered about his demon life, Lu Wenwu was already striding towards the Crystal Palace.
As he mentioned before, with the Dragon Race’s level of arrogance, of course, they would distinguish themselves from the Clans.
Therefore, after entering through the Dragon Bridge and Celestial Dragon Sect gate, a straight light path leads to the highest Dragon Palace, the city within a city that radiates a precious light, without needing to traverse the lower city buildings.
Walking on the light path, Lu Wenwu discovered that this path seemed somewhat off.
Some areas were slightly dim, while in others the halo had disappeared, revealing "cracks," "missing sections," "pits."
With spiritual qi here denser than that in Spirit Heaven Cave Heaven, it’s unlikely due to energy shortage.
Was it due to long neglect, or had something damaged it?
Lu Wenwu peered below, inside Dragon Palace City immense use of space folding, expansion, and extension technology, transforming it into a near half-cave heaven existence.
Below the city, within the cluster of buildings stood a gigantic statue that would be deemed as ultra-massive even in the Cultivation Realm.
It was almost a dragon statue circling the entire city.
Though the scales appeared battered and timeworn, it still did not diminish its imposing majesty.
If the dragon head wasn’t shattered into several pieces on the ground, the dragon claw wasn’t incomplete, and the golden glow wasn’t obscured by dark shadows, the visual impact brought by this massive True Dragon sculpture should be far greater than it is now.
