Global Beast Mastery: Only I Can See the Hints

Chapter 692 692: The Battlefield That Decides the Fate of the World

In the underground area of Serpent’s Eye Lake Oasis, Charles finally encountered White Tiger.

The moment he saw White Tiger, he froze.

“What is this thing?! Is it a human or a monster? A Beast Master or a mystical beast?”

White Tiger’s twisted form left him at a loss for words.

The creature before him looked like a long, ghastly shadow made from a human being forcefully stretched out. At the top was the head of the crown prince, eyes closed, lifeless. On the left side was a twisted tiger’s head. The right side had no head, but instead, a hand holding a massive sword radiating holy light.

It not only displayed the features of a mystical beast but also exuded a very sinister vibe. The holy light surrounding it made the entire creature look unusually eerie.

Though Charles was stunned, his reaction time was still fast enough.

As soon as he encountered White Tiger, he swung his black gold long knife toward it.

“When facing a monster, don’t think too much. Just destroy it! If it can’t be destroyed, then we’ll think of something else.”

He was a practical man.

Since a monster had appeared, the first priority was to eliminate it.

The black gold long knife slashed toward White Tiger with lightning speed. To ensure the strike would severely injure the creature, Charles aimed the blade directly at White Tiger’s most vulnerable neck.

But when the blade collided with White Tiger’s neck, a shocking scene unfolded before Charles’s eyes.

The black gold long knife was shattered instantly.

There wasn’t even a mark left on White Tiger’s neck.

“How is this possible?! What is going on here?! How powerful is this monster?!”

In the heat of the moment, Charles couldn’t make sense of it.

In his shock, he had no choice but to step back.

But after a brief moment, he began to understand.

“The twisted monster that appeared here must be related to the strange feeling I had earlier. That means, this creature could be one of the four most powerful beings in the Constellation organization.”

The instant he pieced together the truth, Charles was struck by a horrifying thought.

If the evil god could turn its own power into a monster and send it into the Atacama Desert, didn’t that mean the Ethereal Grove was completely unprotected against the evil god?!

“Has the Abyssal Great Wall been destroyed?! No way…!”

Charles’s heart was filled with deep shock. He was unwilling to believe that his fear was turning into reality.

But given the current situation, this was the only logical guess.

As he was lost in these chaotic thoughts, White Tiger quickly closed the distance between them. Even though White Tiger wasn’t familiar with the underground area, its immense strength allowed it to break through barrier after barrier.

With no other options, Charles led White Tiger straight to the Sandworm gathering.

“Even if I can’t defeat you, the power of the Sandworm swarm should be strong enough. I refuse to believe that you can’t be stopped by the Sandworms.”

Charles guided White Tiger directly into the middle of the Sandworm swarm.

As before, White Tiger rampaged through the swarm.

Instantly, the Sandworms were thrown into chaos, launching attacks on White Tiger.

Though each Sandworm was no serious threat to White Tiger, the sheer number of them in the swarm created a situation where the many could overwhelm the one, like ants taking down an elephant.

White Tiger, enraged, began killing Sandworm after Sandworm.

But as more and more Sandworms fell, the remaining ones grew increasingly ferocious.

After several minutes, when all the Sandworms were dead, White Tiger was left badly torn, its body bitten and shredded by the swarm.

“Now you can’t easily threaten me anymore, can you? Time to die!” Charles jumped high, gathering all his strength into his last remaining weapon.

In his mind, with White Tiger now shattered, his final strike was certain to succeed.

However, he had overestimated his own power.

This attack still wasn’t enough to completely destroy White Tiger, and instead, White Tiger roared once more and charged at Charles.

In this critical moment, Charles had no choice but to summon Mousie.

By hiding in the shadows, he managed to avoid White Tiger’s strike.

Yet even with this, White Tiger still posed a massive threat to him.

At that desperate moment, a familiar figure suddenly descended from the sky, striking White Tiger down.

What was already a shattered White Tiger’s body was completely torn apart after the attack.

As Charles saw the figure of the person who had arrived, he let out a sigh of relief.

The one who had saved him was Isolde, the very person he had sought help from not long ago.

Isolde looked grim, her clothes torn and shredded, her body covered in twisted, hideous wounds.

Seeing Isolde’s condition, Charles’s relief turned to worry once again.

“What’s going on? Did you just go through an incredibly brutal battle? What’s been happening outside? What have I missed during my time in the Atacama Desert?”

Charles fired off a flurry of questions in one breath.

Isolde didn’t hesitate at all. He calmly answered each one.

When Charles learned that the outside world had been completely destroyed, he froze.

The situation was far worse than he had imagined.

He finally understood why one of the four most powerful beings of the Constellation organization, White Tiger, had appeared here.

Other places had already been completely destroyed, and the Atacama Desert was now their final battleground.

The evil god’s gaze had not left, which meant the Atacama Desert was about to face a devastating attack from the evil god and its minions.

“The world is already destroyed,” Charles murmured, a sense of confusion in his voice.

He truly had no idea what to do next.

After all, most of the world had already been destroyed by the evil god. Even the high-level Beast Masters couldn’t stop the world from being destroyed. What could he do?

Isolde saw the confusion in Charles’s eyes.

He coughed twice, cleared his throat, and then spoke seriously.

“This is indeed the final battleground. The fate of the world rests on the upcoming final battle. And in this battle, you will be the true protagonist.”

Charles was utterly confused by Isolde’s words.

“I’m the true protagonist? But I’m not even a high-level Beast Master! If anyone should be the protagonist, it should be you. After all, you’re a high-level Beast Master.”

“And you’ve survived the battle with the evil god. Only you have the right to be the evil god’s final opponent. I have no such right.”

Charles wasn’t refusing out of modesty.

He truly felt, deep down, that he wasn’t qualified.

After all, up until now, he was just a peak 5th-tier Beast Master. He hadn’t even reached the 6th tier yet. How could he call himself the protagonist in front of a 9th-tier Beast Master like Isolde?

What troubled him even more was that the evil god had already slain countless high-level Beast Masters.

That meant the evil god’s power was far beyond the strongest high-level Beast Masters. How could a 5th-tier Beast Master like him possibly stand against it?

Isolde slowly shook his head.

“The strength of one’s power doesn’t truly determine the outcome of the final battle. You are the protagonist because of your uniqueness. The high-level Beast Masters couldn’t stop the evil god because they didn’t have real hope. But you, you embody the hope of countless people. Only you can stand against the evil god on this final battleground and turn everything around.”

Facing Isolde’s sincere words, Charles began to waver slightly.

He had heard from other high-level Beast Masters before that he was very special.

But could this specialness really be enough to defeat the evil god?

“You cannot have even the slightest doubt. If you have any hesitation at all, as the embodiment of hope, you will never be able to defeat the evil god. Only by firmly believing that you can win will you be able to stand against the evil god and restore the world that has been destroyed by it. You are not just my last hope, but the world’s last hope.”

Isolde spoke these words seriously before collapsing.

He had already exhausted most of his strength in the previous battle. He had barely managed to hold on long enough to say these words to Charles.

Charles didn’t make an immediate decision because he felt that the information he had wasn’t enough.

Isolde had told him he was the last hope against the evil god, but what exactly should be done to fight the evil god? What were the next steps? Isolde hadn’t said.

In this situation, Charles took Isolde directly to the grand pyramid at Serpent’s Eye Lake Oasis.

He planned to let Kent the High Priest help Isolde regain consciousness first, then figure out the next steps.

Though the evil god was about to arrive, they couldn’t rush into action. At the very least, they needed to sort out a plan to defeat the evil god.

Just as Charles was leaving the underground area of Serpent’s Eye Lake Oasis with Isolde, Everett appeared.

He was so close to capturing Charles and Isolde.

However, he didn’t know that.

At this moment, all he saw was the scattered remains of White Tiger. From the wreckage, he deduced one thing: the evil god hadn’t spared the Atacama Desert.

“Has even the last safe haven been destroyed?”
