At the very top of the Gold Fortress Tower, the Crown Prince of the Stellar Empire was asking Aldany a multitude of questions. Aldany answered each one in great detail.

During this process, he explained everything that had recently occurred within the Serpent Empire.

When the Crown Prince heard Charles’s name, he immediately slammed his fist down onto the table. His actions startled those around him.

“Charles is here? What a twist of fate!” the Crown Prince said through gritted teeth.

Aldany watched this scene with great excitement in his heart. He decided to take advantage of the moment and push for an immediate attack on the Serpent Empire.

“Your Highness, Charles is an extremely evil person. He could never get along with the other Serpents. The Serpent Empire must be in complete chaos right now. If we seize this opportunity to attack, the Serpent Empire will be utterly defeated. At that point, you will have the honor of destroying the empire, and you can also use this chance to eliminate Charles once and for all.”

Aldany’s words struck a chord with the Crown Prince.

The Crown Prince slowly nodded.

“He is an extremely evil man! He is narrow-minded and vengeful! He always seeks to gain from others without ever offering help in return,” Aldany said.

Naturally, Aldany would not speak kindly of Charles. In order to further solidify the Crown Prince’s resolve to act, he deliberately smeared Charles’s reputation.

The Crown Prince snorted, slowly turning his head.

“I didn’t ask you to judge Charles’s character; I want you to evaluate his strength and intelligence.”

Aldany immediately realized his mistake, understanding that he hadn’t fully grasped the situation.

He quickly apologized, “My apologies, Your Highness! I am simply so bitter towards him that I focused all my attention on his character.”

“Now, tell me about his strength and wisdom.”

The Crown Prince didn’t seem bothered by Aldany’s apology.

Aldany quickly responded, “Clearly, he is a very cunning person. When I first arrived at the Serpent’s Eye Lake Oasis, I was already somewhat on guard, but I still thought he could be useful to me.

He managed to deceive me, and quickly forged alliances with other Serpents. Eventually, when I tried to salvage the situation, he showed up at the final moment, causing my plan to fail.”

He had assumed that, after preparing for so long, his strength would have surpassed Charles’s. But after hearing Aldany’s description, he realized that his own strength was still inferior to Charles’s.

During their first confrontation, the Crown Prince did not take Charles seriously.

However, after successive defeats, the Crown Prince began to truly recognize Charles’s strength.

The Crown Prince felt that he should ask his father, the emperor, to send more powerful warriors.

“Go find the governor right away and have him request that my father send more powerful warriors. The strength we have now is not enough to defeat Charles in a battle of such caliber,” the Crown Prince commanded his guard.

The guard nodded and quickly left.

“I’m just making sure this operation succeeds,” the Crown Prince replied, trying to sound casual.

However, after a moment of silence, the Crown Prince spoke again.

“Charles’s strength is difficult to predict. After all, he’s a Beast Master. The strength of a Beast Master is not only dependent on the Beast Master themselves but also on the mystical beasts they command.

Charles is already incredibly strong on his own, and he also possesses at least two very powerful weapons. As for his mystical beasts, there’s no need to elaborate—they are all rare and extraordinary species.

“Your Highness, a human Beast Master claiming to have very important intelligence has been discovered by the patrol outside the fortress. He wishes to meet with you as soon as possible.”

The Crown Prince, hearing the soldier’s report, replied coldly.

“There are many human Beast Masters here. Did he say who he is? Did he say what his intelligence is about?”

“He only said his name is Connell. He didn’t tell me what his intelligence is, but he swore that it is crucial. He insists that he must meet with you as soon as possible,” the soldier answered.

The soldier’s response clearly irritated the Crown Prince.

“A regular human Beast Master has no right to meet with me directly! Go back and tell him that if he refuses to share his so-called important intelligence with you, then tell him to get lost!” the Crown Prince said angrily.

The soldier, now covered in sweat, hurriedly left the room.

“I’m sorry you had to witness this! While the soldiers of Gold Fortress are all well-trained, there are always some who fail to understand the situation. They bring me these petty matters,” the Crown Prince said, clearly bored.

Aldany didn’t dare to mock the Crown Prince. He quickly flattered him, saying, “Your soldiers have performed excellently! The soldiers of the Serpent Empire are the truly vile ones!”

The Crown Prince nodded, saying no more.
