Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Chapter 615. Collecting It All, Intimidating the Myriad Races of the Cosmos

  • Next Chapter

It was over.

The Outer Cosmos beings watched the Eternal Warship disappear into the distance, exchanging uneasy looks.

They had expected another chaotic battle to erupt, one that might claim many lives. The Great Age's Providence was simply too tempting. Nearly every major starfield clan on Earth had gathered at Mount Kunlun, including powerful Immortal Realm experts.

No one had expected this outcome.

Not a single person had acted.

Not a single drop of blood had been shed.

Lu Yuan's presence alone had deterred everyone.

"The Lord of the Celestial Court has truly established himself as invincible."

"If not for the crisis posed by the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons, he would already rank among the strongest figures of this age."

"That's right. Who could have imagined that Earth, so soon after the Awakening, would produce someone like him?"

They were dissatisfied that Lu Yuan had claimed all of the Great Age's Providence, but they had to acknowledge his strength. On Earth, he was invincible in the truest sense. That was why no one had dared compete with him in the end.

Everyone was also convinced that with Lu Yuan present, the Celestial Court would eventually become one of the most powerful factions in the universe.

That remained a matter for the future. First, they had to survive the calamity brought by the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons.

Everyone knew those beings would descend sooner or later. If the universe could not withstand them, every faction and great clan would face upheaval. No one might be spared, and even the ten strongest starfields could cease to exist.

They acknowledged the strength of Lu Yuan and the Celestial Court, but that was all. For now, everyone still had the coming calamity to face.

Aboard the Eternal Warship, Zhu Qingyu and the others were still thinking about what had happened at Mount Kunlun.

One man had intimidated the myriad races of the cosmos. King Lu was still King Lu.

A single warning had silenced every challenger. His authority was undeniable.

The sight strengthened their belief that as long as Lu Yuan led them, they could survive even the descent of the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons.

Lu Yuan sat cross-legged at the bow of the warship with his eyes closed, his awareness already turned inward.

Within the Yongzhou Cauldron, the ninety-nine strands of Great Age's Providence moved restlessly, each radiating a distinct aura and power.

Lu Yuan compared them with the token's Providence. The two powers shared many similarities, but they were not the same.

If the token's Providence arose from the beliefs of living beings, then the Great Age's Providence was nurtured by heaven and earth. It had no fixed source or owner and could be bestowed upon either a person or an object, producing different effects depending on the recipient.

In that respect, it was entirely different from the token's Providence.

Once Lu Yuan understood this, a number of possibilities occurred to him. He had previously worried about how to distribute the Great Age's Providence, but the situation was now completely different.

The token's Providence became difficult to control once it accumulated past a certain point. Even when Lu Yuan used the Celestial Emperor's Edict, the amount he could bestow upon a single person was limited. Too much would have the opposite effect.

The Great Age's Providence carried no such risk. No matter how much was bestowed, it would not cause a problem.

"Can the Great Age's Providence be understood as the will of Heaven and Earth?"

Lu Yuan was beginning to understand its true origin. If it represented the will of Heaven and Earth, then bestowing it upon living beings naturally would not harm them.

With this understanding, the outline of a plan began to form.

Lu Yuan ended his examination and opened his eyes.

"How is it?"

Jiang Ningxian walked over. She had been watching him all along, concern visible in her eyes.

Although she knew what the Great Age's Providence was, this was the first time either of them had encountered it. She had watched closely ever since Lu Yuan collected all ninety-nine strands.

"I understand the Great Age's Providence now. The next question is how to use it."

Lu Yuan knew what she was worried about and smiled as he answered.

Jiang Ningxian relaxed. As long as he was unharmed, nothing else mattered.

"By the way, has there still been no news from the cosmos?" Lu Yuan asked.

After the previous battle with the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons, he knew the true calamity would arrive soon. They had to make every possible preparation, and the forces elsewhere in the cosmos would be crucial.

"No. All the nearby Teleportation Dao Platforms were destroyed, so there was little Fifth Ancestor could do. He could only cross the cosmos himself and search for Father and the others."

Jiang Ningxian shook her head, equally frustrated by the situation.

The two great factions had set their sights on Earth long ago. At first, they had used the Celestial Star to draw everyone's attention elsewhere.

Even after the news reached the other experts, they would still need a great deal of time to travel to Earth.

"I see." Lu Yuan nodded. This was within his expectations. His side had already fallen a step behind, making it extremely difficult to respond in time and gather every available force.

Neither said anything more. They looked ahead, both knowing what had to be done.

They needed to strengthen the forces at their disposal as much as possible, especially the Celestial Court. Before this, they had possessed no way to do so. Now, the Great Age's Providence gave them an opportunity.

The Eternal Warship continued onward and soon returned to Jade Emperor Peak on Mount Tai.

Lu Yuan sent Zhu Qingyu and the others away to rest and prepare, then resumed studying the Great Age's Providence.

The matter was too important to rush. He could not bestow it upon someone immediately after obtaining it. If he could not make the fullest possible use of the Great Age's Providence, collecting it would have little meaning.

Jiang Ningxian also left Jade Emperor Peak to search for information about the Great Age's Providence.

Everyone began preparing.

What none of them knew was that more than a month had passed since the Eternals' Starfield Lord and the Ji Clan's Starfield Lord left the cosmic borderlands. They were racing toward the Milky Way Starfield at a speed surpassing that of Supreme Immortals.

In less than two months, they would arrive.
