Chapter 811: Chapter 545: Harvesting a Massive Amount of Divine Wood Fruit and Searching for Moonlight’s Kin
They flew south at an incredible speed.
Soon, Lightning’s massive body shot forward like an arrow, crossing the hundreds of meters wide Canglan River.
Standing on the dragon’s back, Raylo looked down at the rapidly retreating mountains and rivers, his mind churning with thoughts.
The Jade Dragon Emperor...
A veteran Catastrophe Level existence who had long made a name for himself.
Not too long ago, such an existence was someone he could only look up to and avoid.
But now, he already possessed the strength to face such a being head-on, and even suppress them.
Just then, Raylo remembered a long-forgotten piece of intelligence.
A Catastrophe Level Silver Dragon had occupied a forest east of the Giant Valley.
He subconsciously reached out and pet Moonlight on his shoulder.
Moonlight was also a Silver Dragon.
And a Catastrophe Level Silver Dragon at that.
Could there be some connection between the two?
A bold thought uncontrollably sprouted from the bottom of Raylo’s heart.
In the past, lacking strength, he could only choose to avoid it. But today, he had the capital to face it calmly.
If... If he could subdue this wandering Silver Dragon as well...
The moment this thought appeared, it wrapped around his heart like wildly growing vines.
What did the Black Stone Territory lack the most right now?
It was top-tier combat power capable of truly holding its own!
Although Moonlight was strong, it had a lazy personality and showed absolutely no interest in fighting or striving for supremacy.
Sun was steady, but ultimately still only at the Domain Level.
Black King was cunning and greedy. If not for the absolute restriction of the Master-Servant Contract, it would be completely unreliable, and Raylo could not fully trust it.
Coal Ball and Lightning had not yet fully grown.
If he could gain another Catastrophe Level Silver Dragon companion...
And one of the same species!
Wouldn’t it be easier for Moonlight to accept them?
The risks were immense.
But the potential rewards were equally unimaginable!
Raylo’s gaze gradually sharpened.
To go, or not to go?
Going meant he might face a hostile Catastrophe Level Giant Dragon, potentially leading to a bitter struggle even more dangerous than his encounter with the Jade Dragon Emperor.
Not going and safely returning to the Black Stone Territory to digest his recent spoils was undoubtedly the safer choice.
But... he hadn’t risen from a penniless minor Lord to where he was today by playing it safe!
Since he had the strength to flip the board, why should he carefully abide by the rules of the game?
Thinking of this, Raylo no longer hesitated. He reached out and gently patted Lightning’s neck.
"Lightning."
"ROAR?"
Lightning slowed down in confusion, waiting for its master’s new command.
Raylo raised his hand and pointed to the southeast. That was the direction of the Giant Valley.
"We’re going east of the Giant Valley.
"Let’s go meet Moonlight’s ’kin’."
"ROAR!"
Lightning let out a low roar as its massive Thunder Dragon body tore through the sky.
The Power of Thunder and Lightning on its body was still CRACKLING, but its aura had steadied considerably.
Following Raylo’s command, it adjusted its course and advanced toward the southeast at full speed.
The wind howled past their ears.
The mountains and rivers below rapidly retreated from view.
Standing on Lightning’s broad back, Raylo looked calm, but his heart surged with anticipation.
He gently stroked Moonlight’s soft fur on his shoulder.
Moonlight lazily yawned, seemingly indifferent to Raylo’s decision.
Two hours later.
A completely different scene appeared on the horizon ahead.
An endless, gloomy forest stretched across the land like a massive black scar.
Even from dozens of kilometers away, Raylo could feel the dense, chilling, and deathly aura emanating from the forest. It was as if sunlight could not penetrate its dense, overlapping black canopy.
They had arrived at the Wailing Forest.
"Lightning, lower your altitude. We’re going in," Raylo ordered.
"ROAR!"
Lightning responded, and its massive body slowly began to descend.
The closer they got, the more piercing the chilling aura became. The air was filled with a rotting, nauseating stench.
As Lightning’s hundred-meter-long body swept past the edge of the forest...
BOOM!
A burst of majestic Dragon Mighty belonging to a Giant Dragon smashed into the deathly still forest like a boulder dropping into a calm lake, instantly kicking up monstrous waves!
"HISS!"
"CROAK!"
"HOWL!"
In an instant, countless panicked and chaotic screams echoed throughout the forest.
Countless Dark Demons hiding in the shadows were so terrified by this sudden burst of Dragon Mighty that they scattered and fled, causing quite a commotion in the woods.
Raylo paid no mind to this. These Low Tier Demons were not worth his attention.
His gaze swept across the land below.
"Head east, go deeper," he said.
Lightning flapped its wings, and its massive body turned into a bolt of lightning, instantly plunging into the endless darkness.
Lightning flew at a low altitude, hundreds of meters above the ground.
The lightning glow on its body became the only light source in this Dark Forest, painting everything around them in a faint blue hue.
Raylo’s Spiritual Power was highly concentrated, remaining vigilant against any potential danger. However, there seemed to be nothing on the outskirts of this forest capable of threatening them.
After sensing Lightning’s aura, the Dark Demons all hid far away.
Their path was completely unimpeded.
Soon, they had ventured nearly a hundred kilometers into the forest.
Just then, Raylo’s gaze was drawn to a hill up ahead.
The hill wasn’t tall—only a few hundred meters—but it stood out glaringly in the otherwise relatively flat woodland.
Even more striking was the massive nest, resembling a Meteorite crater, sitting squarely at the top of the hill.
Scattered around the edge of the nest were large quantities of huge bones belonging to unknown creatures. Inside the nest, several massive black figures seemed to be squirming.
"Stop."
Raylo gently patted Lightning’s neck.
Lightning immediately understood. It tucked its wings and hovered in mid-air, keeping a distance of nearly a thousand meters from the hill.
Raylo narrowed his eyes, carefully observing the giant nest. Soon, he got a clear look at the creatures inside.
They were oddly shaped creatures.
Their appearance resembled giant rats that had been magnified countless times.
Their bodies alone were dozens of meters long, completely covered in greasy, grayish-black fur. A bald, fleshy tail—even longer than their bodies—swished slowly, tipped with a bizarre bone spike.
What made them look the most uncoordinated was the pair of huge, bat-like fleshy wings growing out of their backs!
"SQUEAK!"
Seemingly sensing the gaze from the sky, a rat-like creature in the nest abruptly raised its head.
It had a massive, disproportionate head and a pair of scarlet, Ruby-like eyes that emitted a bloodthirsty and cruel light in the dim environment.
Mouse Dragon! The name of this creature instantly popped into Raylo’s mind.
A rare Dark Demon.
Rumors said they were the offspring of a Giant Dragon and some kind of Abyssal Demon Rat, inheriting the might of a Giant Dragon and the cunning and reproductive capabilities of a Demon Rat.
They were natural-born predators.
Furthermore, judging from the aura exuding from this Mouse Dragon... it was at the Domain Level!
Almost the very instant Raylo recognized them...
"SQUEAK! SQUEAK! SQUEAK!"
Piercing shrieks rose one after another from the nest, echoing throughout the entire forest!
The sound was incredibly ear-piercing, as if it could directly penetrate a person’s eardrums and drill into their brain.
WHOOSH!
Seven or eight massive Mouse Dragons simultaneously spread their ugly fleshy wings!
They leaped from the nest and charged into the sky!
Flapping their wings with muffled sounds of rushing air, the monsters quickly scattered, surrounding Lightning from all directions.
Greed and excitement flickered in their eyes. In their eyes, this Thunder Dragon that had suddenly intruded was an incredibly hearty feast falling right out of the sky!
However, it didn’t end there. The very next moment after those seven or eight Mouse Dragons took off, several slightly smaller but equally ferocious Mouse Dragons crawled out of the pitch-black opening deep within the hill’s nest.
Right after that came even more!
Big ones, small ones, one after another!
Ultimately, a full sixteen Mouse Dragons appeared in the sky!
They formed an airtight encirclement, trapping Lightning right in the center.
