Genshin Impact : Eerie Teyvat

Chapter 594: In order to use Irminsul

  • Next Chapter

Although Aether knew that the Aranara themselves did not possess particularly great combat strength, under the influence of that Eerie Power, they now carried a potentially deadly threat…

And right now, except for him and Paimon, no one else could see these Aranara.

It was essentially the same as fighting invisible enemies—how were they supposed to deal with that?

“Everyone, since you can’t see the Aranara, we’ll move closer together and defend while counterattacking—that’s the safest option!”

Following Aether’s voice, everyone pressed together back-to-back.

“When I say attack in a direction, just attack that direction!”

“Got it!” Everyone nodded in response.

Right after, the corrupted Aranara launched their assault.

Aether and Paimon nervously issued directions:

“Dehya, above and to your right—one Aranara!”

“Kirara, watch your left foot—there’s one there!”

“Su Yuan! Protect your chest—there’s one striking in that direction!!”

Under Aether and Paimon’s guidance, and thanks to the group’s mutual coordination, the Aranara’s attacks were successfully deflected…

“Whew… That really scared me for a moment…”

Paimon let out a long breath.

“Good thing the Aranara themselves aren’t that strong. Even after being empowered by the Eerie force, they’re still manageable for us…”

“So this is already the second wave of attacks that the Eerie Nahida has sent against us…”

“Dehya, at our current pace, how long until we reach the border between Sumeru and Natlan?” Su Yuan asked.

“Probably around dusk,” Dehya replied.

“Alright, I understand.” Su Yuan nodded.

“I have a feeling that the Eerie Nahida definitely hasn’t shown all her methods yet—we should stay cautious.”

But then Su Yuan seemed to recall something and said:

“Dehya, actually… perhaps we should part ways here.”

“I remembered my intel warning—it said that following Kirara’s route would be safer. That might be a better option for us…”

“Dehya, you should return to Aaru Village immediately and look after Candace. And tell her about the existence of the Eerie force—that’s more important!”

Seeing Su Yuan’s serious expression, Dehya answered, “…Alright. Since you say so, then we’ll part ways here.”

And so, Su Yuan’s group separated from Dehya.

“I had already suspected that if we followed Dehya’s usual route, Nahida’s ambushes would have already been prepared there…” Su Yuan said.

“The reason the intel suggested following Kirara’s path is likely because her delivery routes are unpredictable…”

“Mhm! Either way, let’s keep moving!” Kirara nodded.

“My delivery routes might actually be even faster—if you can keep up with me!”

As she spoke, Kirara shifted into her nekomata form and moved at full speed.

The group followed her, stepping onto the delivery path…

“Whoa, I didn’t expect there to be an underground passage here!” Aether said in surprise.

“Hehe, of course! They say all of Sumeru’s underground has been dug out by the people of Sumeru—honestly, that’s not an exaggeration at all~”

Kirara continued:

“There are lots of advantages to underground routes. If you travel above ground, and a sandstorm blows in, not only would you be in danger, but the deliveries would be scattered who-knows-where…”

“But these underground passages seem to have been left over from the time of the Scarlet King, so sometimes we run into some strange things…”

“Strange things?” Paimon asked.

“Yep—those triangular autonomous mechanisms. The ones called Primal Constructs!”

As soon as Kirara finished speaking, they saw three Primal Constructs appear on the road ahead…

“Uh… looks like all of us have the talent for being jinxes…” Paimon said helplessly.

Because these constructs had no will of their own, they couldn’t be influenced by the Eerie force.

So the group made short work of them and continued forward.

“Not far ahead is the exit,” Kirara said.

“Once we get out, we’ll need to travel across the desert surface for a while before we can reach the entrance to the next underground passage…”

However, as soon as they stepped out of the exit, they saw a figure sitting casually on a rock nearby, as if he had been waiting for quite some time.

Everyone was shocked.

Because that figure was—the Wanderer.

The group immediately tensed up, putting distance between themselves and him.

“Wanderer, why are you here? What are you planning?” someone demanded.

“Hey, hey, hey—no need to be so on edge.”

The Wanderer waved his hand dismissively, sounding a little annoyed.

“Back in Mondstadt, you all had no problem using me to stop the Hydro Slimes from infiltrating. Then you even sneaked off to the sword cemetery in Dadaupa Gorge and rescued Xiao and Albedo right under everyone’s noses…”

“I don’t know how you knew any of that, or how you planned it—but it definitely irritated me.”

“And yet, here we are. I haven’t even attacked you first, and you’re acting like this?”

“Wanderer. Answer me.” Su Yuan’s voice was cold and sharp.

“How did you know we would come here? And what is your goal?”

“Su Yuan,” the Wanderer replied slowly, “you’ve always known this. My ultimate goal is only one thing: to completely break and destroy Dottore.”

“All else has simply been means to reach that end.”

“To defeat Dottore, I needed a way to wield the power of Irminsul. That’s why I was so desperate to obtain the remains of the Descender before.”

“But now, none of that matters anymore.”

“When I left Sumeru back then, Nahida and I had… a bit of a falling out.”

“But now, we’ve reached a new agreement.”

“As long as I bring you all back— I will still gain access to Irminsul.”
