Genshin Impact : Eerie Teyvat
Chapter 591: Dehya, who arrived in Aaru Village
“What???”
After hearing Su Yuan’s theory, everyone gasped in shock, all equally confused.
“Su Yuan, why would you think that?” Aether asked.
“It’s simple. My intelligence prompt says that anyone who threatens Aaru Village will trigger Candace, the guardian, to enter a Eerie state and be targeted by her.”
Su Yuan took a deep breath and continued explaining:
“But like I said earlier, there was a line before that — ‘Those who break the rules will become the enemies of Aaru Village.'”
“I see…” Aether nodded thoughtfully.
“So Su Yuan, you mean those children who were killed at the beginning — they disobeyed their parents and went out late at night. Therefore, they counted as ‘rule-breakers’?”
“In Candace’s eyes, they became enemies of the village… and that’s why they were killed.”
“Then the members of the Treasure Hoarders who were found dead must have been doing something shady,” Paimon added.
“Candace must have seen it, triggered her Eerie state, and killed them too!”
“And on the nights when people accompanied Candace to hunt the monster,” Kirara followed up, “some of those who died must also have broken the rules in some way — which is why the Eerie Candace targeted them. That would explain everything…”
“But… there’s still one big question.” Paimon puffed up her cheeks, confused.
“If the Eerie Candace herself is the so-called monster…”
“Then what happened last night? Did Candace… fight herself??”
Su Yuan had also been stuck on this question — until now.
He suddenly recalled when he once tried to observe his own Eerie state rules in his reflection on the water.
“What if Candace, last night, accidentally saw her own reflection in the water?”
“The guardian targets anything that threatens Aru Village.”
“And Candace herself is the one threatening it now.”
“So she would… attack herself.”
Everyone silently nodded.
It did make sense.
“But we should verify it first.”
Su Yuan returned to the villager they had spoken to earlier:
“I’d like to ask — where exactly did you find Candace after she was injured? Was there a water source nearby?”
The villager’s eyes widened.
“Oh my— Su Yuan, are you clairvoyant? Yes! We found her beside an oasis!”
That confirms it.
There was no ‘mysterious monster.’
The killer was Candace herself.
Now, all they needed to do was wait for Candace to wake up — and explain the Eerie rule to her, so she would understand and avoid triggering it again.
After that, they would have to leave for Natlan immediately.
Because the Eerie “Nahida” already knew they had entered Sumeru — and there was no telling what method she would use, or who she might send, to stop them from leaving.
But since Candace was still unconscious, they could only wait.
This was far too important to leave to a messenger — it had to be told directly, face-to-face.
After telling the healers to notify them the moment Candace woke up, Su Yuan and the others temporarily left the room.
“Speaking of which, I just thought of something…”
Paimon tilted her head, as if a sudden realization had struck her.
“Does this mean Candace is like Furina? That the Eerie doesn’t affect her during the day?”
“Why does her corrupted state only seem to manifest at night?”
Everyone paused.
Now that Paimon mentioned it, that did seem to be the case.
But they also knew Furina was a very special exception—no one else should share the same condition.
“Maybe… everyone just behaves more orderly during the day,” someone suggested.
“And it’s only when night falls that those hidden violations… start to show themselves.”
Unable to think of a better explanation, they settled on that for now.
As they walked, they eventually returned to the entrance of Aaru Village.
Ahead of them, a tall, agile woman was approaching, her steps light:
Her eyes were a clear ice-blue, Her skin a warm honey-gold that almost shimmered beneath the sun, And her long black-gold hair flowed freely behind her.
“Wait—that’s Dehya!!!”
Paimon shouted happily, waving both arms.
“Dehya! Long time no see!”
“Ah! Traveler, Paimon—and Miss Kirara the courier!” Dehya smiled brightly in greeting.
“Oh, and of course—this brother here.”
She glanced at Su Yuan and gave him a friendly nod.
“First time meeting. I don’t know who you are, but greetings are important!”
“Hello, Miss Dehya. I’m Su Yuan—Su as in tiramisu, and Yuan as in ruined walls.” Su Yuan smiled back.
“A trustworthy comrade who has gone through life and death alongside the Traveler.”
“Hah! ‘A trustworthy comrade who has been through life and death’—I like that.”
Dehya laughed heartily and gave Su Yuan a firm pat on the shoulder.
“Even in the Blazing Eremites, not many can claim that title with confidence!”
“By the way, Dehya, why are you here?” Aether asked.
“I was passing by and thought I’d stop to check in on Candace,” Dehya answered.
“Candace is injured. For now, it’d be best not to disturb her.” Aether responded seriously.
“Before that, there’s something important we need to discuss with you.”
“Dehya…” He looked her directly in the eyes.
“Do you know about the Eerie force entities?”
