Chapter 583: Ch 583 : Such a vivid memory

Seeing that Su Yuan remained completely motionless and hadn’t responded for a long time, "Furina" showed a puzzled expression and cautiously asked,

"Darling? What’s wrong?"

"I’ve already driven that filthy thing out of your body and destroyed it, yet you still haven’t come back. Why is that?"

"Don’t tell me... you don’t want to see me now? That would really break my heart..."

Of course, Su Yuan himself was utterly dumbfounded.

He also wanted to know why—when clearly no one else was controlling his body—he still couldn’t move at all.

But the next moment, something completely unexpected happened—his body suddenly started moving on its own!

"Wonderful... it seems my darling doesn’t hate me after all."

Furina’s face lit up with a radiant smile as she stepped forward, wanting to wrap her arms around Su Yuan.

However, in the very next instant, her expression turned cold, her eyes sharpening with anger as she spoke sternly:

"No... this aura—you’re not my darling. Who are you?"

"Don’t tell me there’s another filthy, disgusting thing hiding inside his body?!"

"My darling belongs to me alone—he’s not some public carriage or a communal toilet!!!"

In the blink of an eye, an immense surge of eerie power erupted from Furina’s body.

She tried to do what she had done before to "Xiangling" — forcibly rip this mysterious soul out of Su Yuan’s body and destroy it completely.

Yet, to both her and Su Yuan’s astonishment, Su Yuan’s body remained completely unaffected.

There wasn’t even the slightest sign of suppression.

Even the pure-black, ultimate form of eerie power she used had no effect whatsoever.

Su Yuan was at a loss for words.

He had thought eerie power was already unmatched in this world and then Furina used an even stronger, pure-black version of it, rising to a whole new level.

But now... who in the world was this mysterious entity that could completely ignore even that level of power?

Just then, Aether and Ganyu returned to Bubu Pharmacy, both looking worried.

"Su Yuan, we’ve already taken Master Mao to safety. What’s going on here?"

Then Aether noticed Furina’s figure—and his eyes went wide in disbelief.

"Huh? This time Furina came that fast?!"

But before they could react, Su Yuan—whose body was still under someone else’s control—turned his head slightly toward them.

And in that instant, both Aether and Ganyu were shredded into countless pieces, their bodies dissolving into clouds of blood and fragments— dead beyond all hope.

Su Yuan stared in shock, horrified by what he had just witnessed.

Such a terrifying ability—he had never even heard of anything like it!

How was that possible?!

He quickly realized that things couldn’t go on like this.

If he didn’t find a way to stop whoever—or whatever—was controlling his body, this being would go on a rampage, killing countless people.

Desperately, Su Yuan tried again and again to break through the invisible barrier restraining him, struggling to reclaim control of his body.

But no matter how hard he tried, it was all in vain.

Despair began to take hold.

He had only just escaped the control of the eerie "Xiangling," and now yet another, even more terrifying, unknown existence had taken over.

Just as hopelessness set in, a new idea flashed through his mind.

If he couldn’t regain full control of his body... then what if he only took control of part of it?

For instance—just one hand.

And with that hand, he could kill himself, triggering his death rewind, and reset everything once more!

With that thought, Su Yuan found new resolve.

He poured all his willpower into trying again.

After many attempts, to his astonishment—he succeeded!

He hadn’t regained his entire body, but he could now fully control his right hand!

And that... was enough.

Before Furina’s stunned eyes, Su Yuan summoned his Foul Legacy Armament, forming armor around his right hand and arm, channeling the power of the Abyss into it— and then, with all his strength, he drove it straight into his own heart!

"Darling!!! Don’t!!!"

Furina screamed, her voice trembling with grief as she reached out to stop him— but she was a moment too late. ℴ

The moment the Abyssal power pierced his heart, agony surged through Su Yuan’s entire body.

He could feel the mysterious entity’s presence vanish instantly.

As his consciousness began to fade, one last thought flickered in his mind.

"Damn... what I just did definitely counts as suicide..."

"I wonder... does the death rewind rule still have a restriction for that?"

"If it does... does this mean my journey ends here?"

--------------

Su Yuan suddenly snapped his eyes open— that same familiar, heart-pounding sensation washed over him once again...

There was still no sharp pain in the palm of his left hand, but he knew—he had just died again.

Wait—!!!

Something felt very, very wrong.

In fact, almost ten parts wrong.

Why did his mind now contain so many vivid, crystal-clear memories— memories that played back before his eyes as if they had just happened?

Wasn’t his death rewind supposed to erase all memories from before death?

Before, he could only rely on the clues shown in his left palm... and later on, Aether’s ability to foresee the future.

So why now... did he retain such clear, complete memories?

"Hehe, we’re about to reach Wanmin Restaurant! So, as planned—Traveler and I will distract Master Mao, Su Yuan, you and Xiangling hurry to the kitchen to prepare his meal!"

Paimon giggled as she spoke.

"Su Yuan! Xiangling!" Aether suddenly called out, "Xiangling—whatever you do, don’t make that seven-slime medley!!"

Hearing Aether’s words, Xiangling looked puzzled and spoke to Su Yuan telepathically within his mind:

"Eh? That’s strange... I don’t remember telling anyone what dish I was planning to make. How did the Traveler know?"

"Yeah, I know too." Su Yuan nodded and said seriously, "Xiangling, whatever happens, you must not make that seven-slime mixed medley!"

Seeing the grave and earnest expressions on both Su Yuan and Aether’s faces, Xiangling realized something serious was going on.

Still, she couldn’t help but ask:

"The seven-slime medley is a dish I’ve always wanted to try...

Since you and the Traveler are both stopping me, you must know something about it, right?"

"So then—what does it taste like when the seven kinds of slimes are mixed together?"
