"Alright then, thank you, Brother Su Yuan," Timmy said with the same bright smile.

"I actually got lost inside the factory, so I’ll trouble you to lead the way out!"

Timmy followed Su Yuan and Aether toward the factory’s exit.

When the factory manager saw them bringing a child out, he couldn’t hide his astonishment.

"What’s going on here? How did a child get into a restricted industrial area? Is he one of the workers’ kids?"

"What were the security staff even doing—how could they let a kid sneak in? What if something had happened? Who would’ve taken responsibility?"

Su Yuan observed Timmy’s behavior—still perfectly normal, no signs of aggression at all.

He turned to a nearby Knight of Favonius and said, "Go inform Acting Grand Master Jean. Tell her Aether and I have found Timmy—we’ll be waiting in the grove south of the factory."

The knight nodded and hurried off, while Su Yuan and Aether led Timmy toward the quiet grove.

Once they arrived and made sure no one else was around, "Timmy" finally dropped his façade.

A wave of eerie energy rippled from his body as his smile twisted into something sinister.

"Brother Su Yuan... Honorary Knight..."

"Timmy" smiled wickedly and said slowly, "You’ve come looking for me... to avenge those who died, haven’t you?"

"But I’m afraid I can only tell you this—they deserved to die!"

"Why??" Aether demanded, unable to comprehend.

"If it were someone else, maybe I could understand—but this factory worker? He’s been working here the whole time! How could he possibly have hurt the pigeons you feed?"

"Directly hurt the pigeons?" Timmy sneered.

"Honorary Knight, do you really think it’s that simple?"

"True, that worker didn’t harm my pigeons himself..." Timmy’s voice grew cold.

"...but he indirectly did something even worse!"

"Indirectly? Something worse?" Aether echoed, confused.

He turned to Su Yuan. "Could it be that the steel factory made weapons that harmed the pigeons?"

"But if that’s the case, how are the merchants in Mondstadt connected to any of this?"

Su Yuan fell silent for a moment, then his expression shifted as though he’d realized something crucial.

"No... Aether," he said gravely. "I think this might not be about the pigeons at all!"

"Not... about the pigeons?" Aether was stunned.

"But wasn’t Timmy’s Eerie triggered when someone hurt his pigeons?"

"No!!" Su Yuan’s voice was sharp and certain now. "I’ve been misled by the intelligence report!"

"I remember the exact words: If someone harms the animals Timmy feeds, he will fall into an eerie state."

"Because of our assumptions, we automatically believed that ’animals’ meant pigeons."

"But... humans... are also animals."

Both Paimon and Aether froze in shock—then realization struck them at once.

They recalled the bandages wrapped around Timmy’s mother’s hand when they had visited his home earlier.

"Timmy once fed his mother — which means, in a sense, Timmy’s mother also counts as one of the animals he has fed!!"
