Chapter 163: Chapter 144: I Couldn’t Comprehend It Before, But My Comprehension Is Completely Different Now!

"He’s the one who should be careful? It’s not certain who will be the one running today?"

Xu Cheng looked at the purple lightning gathering in his hand, then at Ji Zhixing. He couldn’t fathom where Ji Zhixing got his confidence. This was Gu Zheng! Gu Zheng, who had fused with the Tier 4 Morning Star rank Sword Feather Peacock genes!

*WHOOSH!*

The next moment, as soon as Ji Zhixing’s voice fell, Xu Cheng saw him take a deep breath, his chest expanding.

"Super Gigantification!"

With a thought from Ji Zhixing, the Ten-foot Stone Monkey genes within his body jolted violently. Immediately, his body began to swell.

*CRACK CRACK!*

His bones popped as his muscles bulged, the blood vessels beneath his skin writhing like horned dragons. In the blink of an eye, his height surged from his normal stature to over four meters, making him look like a moving mountain. The Nine-Tiered Tide Rod in his hand grew in tandem, expanding from two meters to more than five, resembling a pale blue jade pillar.

A grayish-white petrified armor covered his entire body. Flowing around him, the Five-Colored Spiritual Light illuminated his figure, making him look like a Giant Spirit God stepping straight out of an ancient myth.

"Gu Zheng, take my strike!" Ji Zhixing shouted loudly.

Gripping the weapon with both hands, he hoisted the five-meter-long massive rod high into the air and brought it down with an indomitable momentum, aiming straight at Gu Zheng, who was diving from the sky. The long rod tore through the air with a piercing howl. The wind generated by the strike was so fierce that the air within a radius of several meters was compressed and distorted.

"What?!"

Seeing Ji Zhixing’s transformation, Gu Zheng’s expression drastically changed. He knew Ji Zhixing had a gigantification ability, but he never expected it could make him this terrifying. The four-meter-tall body, the five-meter-long massive rod—the suffocating sense of oppression rushing at his face made his heart involuntarily clench.

Gu Zheng thought, "When did this guy get so strong?"

Gritting his teeth, he didn’t dare take Ji Zhixing’s strike head-on. The pressure from the five-meter-long rod was simply too overwhelming. With a flap of his Sword Wings, he came to an abrupt halt, narrowly evading the devastating blow.

*BOOM!*

Ji Zhixing’s rod slammed into empty space, the sheer force of the technique kicking up massive clouds of dust and debris.

"Slash!"

Seeing Ji Zhixing’s attack miss, Gu Zheng swung the silver sword in his hand repeatedly. Over a dozen sword lights slashed out instantly, fanning out to envelop Ji Zhixing like a peacock spreading its tail. Each sword light was incredibly fierce, carrying a bone-chilling coldness as they carved different trajectories through the air. Some struck straight and true, while others curved around, slashing at Ji Zhixing from every conceivable angle.

"Vortex!"

Seeing the incoming sword lights, Ji Zhixing spun his long rod fiercely, executing the Vortex stance. The five-meter-long massive rod rotated in front of him, churning the surrounding air to form a gigantic cyclone that sucked in the slashing sword lights.

*SLASH SLASH SLASH!*

Most of the sword lights were shredded by the cyclone, dissipating into specks of spiritual light. However, Gu Zheng’s sword lights were too fast and their trajectories too unpredictable. A few beams still managed to bypass the long rod’s defense and land on him.

*THWACK THWACK THWACK!*

The sword lights slashed against the Five-Colored Spiritual Light. The five-colored radiance flickered violently, weakening a portion of the attacks’ power. The remaining sword lights continued downward, striking the grayish-white petrified armor and producing a dense cacophony of clashing metal.

*CLANG CLANG CLANG!*

Strings of energy sparks splattered off the armor. A few sword lights broke through, leaving bloody gashes on Ji Zhixing’s body. Blood seeped from the wounds, dyeing his clothes red.

"Manageable!"

Ji Zhixing didn’t bother looking at his injuries, but just by feeling them, he knew these wounds were entirely within his tolerance limit. With his super rapid regeneration ability, it wouldn’t even take a few minutes for him to fully heal. In fact, even if he endured a hundred of these strikes, it wouldn’t be a major issue. As long as he protected vital spots like his eyes, he would be perfectly fine.

"Again!"

Without the slightest pause, Ji Zhixing dragged the five-meter-long rod and took massive strides forward, charging straight at Gu Zheng.

"This is his gigantification ability?" Behind Ji Zhixing, Xu Cheng and Jiang Qingqian revealed expressions of sheer horror upon seeing his transformation.

Xu Cheng murmured inwardly in disbelief, "Could this guy... have been holding back his strength during the selection tournament?"

He recalled the selection tournament; although Ji Zhixing had also used gigantification during his fight with Du Zhan, his height back then was only 2.7 meters—nowhere near this terrifying. Over four meters tall with a five-meter-long massive rod—how was this just a gigantification ability? This was simply a Giant Spirit God descending to the mortal realm!

Beside him, Jiang Qingqian was completely speechless, staring at Ji Zhixing in dumbfounded shock.

"He’s fine?" Gu Zheng’s gaze hardened when he saw that after taking his attacks head-on, Ji Zhixing continued to charge at him as if nothing had happened. "Then let’s go again!"

With a mental command, he began gathering his power, forming sword lights once more.

*HUMMM!*

At this moment, Xiao Mingyue suddenly made her move. Unfurling the Flame Wings on her back, she soared high into the sky. Her crimson-gold wings flickered with a scorching radiance beneath the sunlight. Waving her hands repeatedly, Flame Spirit Birds flew out from her palms, flapping their wings as they dove at Gu Zheng. Dozens of Flame Spirit Birds streaked across the sky like meteors, pouncing on him from every angle and completely sealing off his escape routes.

"This is..."

Sensing the aura erupting from Xiao Mingyue, Xu Cheng and Jiang Qingqian were shocked once again.

Tier 3! Xiao Mingyue had actually broken through to Tier 3 as well!

The two exchanged a glance, both seeing the astonishment in each other’s eyes. Ji Zhixing breaking through to Tier 3 was startling enough, but they hadn’t expected Xiao Mingyue to have silently broken through too.
