Chapter 136: Chapter 126: Spatial Attribute, Powerful Plant-Type Lifeform

Looking back, it was a good thing Ji Zhixing hadn’t listened to her. Otherwise, how could he have achieved his current success?

"I just don’t know if he can keep evolving his genes," she wondered. "And if he can, how long will he be able to maintain that momentum?"

Yang Man Ni thought of Mr. Liang Jin’s Six-armed Moon-devouring Demon Ape legacy. If Ji Zhixing truly could continue evolving his genes all the way to the Tier 6 Blazing Sun Level, or even the Tier 7 Glory Level...

Then Mr. Liang Jin’s Six-armed Moon-devouring Demon Ape legacy might actually end up restricting him.

Of course, Yang Man Ni knew this possibility was slim. Extremely slim.

In the corridor, Ji Zhixing and Xiao Mingyue walked shoulder to shoulder toward the exit.

"Teacher Yang mentioned that the school can send items into the Spirit Ruins Treasure Land. Do you know how they do that?" Ji Zhixing asked, turning his head to look at her.

Xiao Mingyue nodded.

"It has to do with a divine tree in our school," she explained as they walked. "It’s a Tier 7 Glory Level Azure Sky Divine Wood, left behind by the former principal of Yu City University.

"The Azure Sky Divine Wood excels at spatial abilities. Whenever students from Yu City University enter the various secret realms controlled by the school, they are teleported via the Azure Sky Divine Wood.

"Even when you were in the Blood Beast Secret Realm, every time you submitted a Blood Crystal or exchanged for weapons, it was done through the tree."

"A Tier 7 Glory Level Azure Sky Divine Wood..." Ji Zhixing was fascinated upon hearing this.

Tier 7 Glory Level represented the pinnacle of humanity. In the entire Yu City Base City, only the Guardian Envoy had reached that level. Yet, Yu City University actually housed a Tier 7 Glory Level divine tree.

"To think a single tree could reach Tier 7," Ji Zhixing sighed in admiration. "An existence like that is absurdly powerful."

He realized that his assimilated willow tree gene was also a plant-type gene and could similarly grow to an incredibly high level in the future. However, he wasn’t sure what its specific evolutionary path would be. If possible, he really wanted to acquire spatial abilities like that.

"Let’s go. We need to head back and get ready," Xiao Mingyue said, tugging at his hand.

The two walked out of the office building, crossed the campus, and returned to their villa.

For the next two days, Ji Zhixing poured his heart and soul into cultivation.

In the mornings, he refined the Earth Spirit Liquid to advance his cultivation base. Since the evolution of his Ten-foot Stone Monkey gene, his cultivation efficiency had leaped forward, and the speed at which his power grew was visible to the naked eye.

In the evenings, he would meet Xu Cheng in the closed Cultivation Chamber to continue enduring lightning strikes. Xu Cheng had grown used to this rhythm, yet he was still tormented to the point of absolute exhaustion by Ji Zhixing every single day.

At night, Ji Zhixing slept on Xiao Mingyue’s Heart Refining Stone Pillow, tempering his mind and spirit within his dreams.

The two days passed in the blink of an eye.

His cultivation base had improved, bringing him one step closer to the peak of Tier 2. However, he still hadn’t managed to develop his super regenerative healing factor, his lightning-attribute gene ability, or the Hundred Generations Stone Heart ability.

"There’s no need to rush," Xiao Mingyue comforted him, noticing his slightly disappointed expression. "If you can’t unlock those abilities now, doing it after we enter the Spirit Ruins Treasure Land will be just fine.

"I’ll bring the Heart Refining Stone Pillow with us. After all, the Spirit Ruins Treasure Land will be open for a full month. We can’t constantly adventure and hunt for treasure; we’ll need to rest."

Ji Zhixing nodded. He was indeed a bit anxious. He had wanted to push himself to unlock the Hundred Generations Stone Heart ability before entering the Spirit Ruins Treasure Land, but unfortunately, he had failed to do so.

"Let’s go," he sighed, turning to Xiao Mingyue. "It’s almost time to depart."

Xiao Mingyue nodded. Together, they left the villa and made their way to the campus plaza.

Quite a few people had already gathered at the plaza. Over twenty students stood in small groups of twos and threes. Some were chatting in low voices, some rested with their eyes closed, and others inspected their equipment.

Among these twenty-odd individuals were students from the Genius Class as well as those from the Elite Class who had been chosen alongside them through the selection tournament. Upon seeing the duo arrive, both the Elite Class and Genius Class students turned to look at them.

Ji Zhixing paid them no mind. He and Xiao Mingyue walked to a corner of the plaza and waited quietly.

It wasn’t long before Ji Zhixing spotted Xu Cheng walking over.

Xu Cheng was dressed in a sleek black martial arts suit, his hands tucked into his pockets as he walked with an unhurried pace. However, his face was somewhat pale, and there were faint dark circles under his eyes, making him look as if he hadn’t slept well.

When he saw Ji Zhixing, his expression stiffened. He quickly turned his head away, refusing to look at him.

"What’s wrong with him?" Xiao Mingyue whispered.

"Uh..." Ji Zhixing hesitated for a moment before saying, "He’s probably just a bit overworked from these past two days."

Xiao Mingyue shot him a glance, the corners of her lips curling up slightly, but she didn’t press the matter.

The two continued chatting in hushed voices.

A short while later, all thirty members of the team organized by the school had arrived.

Gu Zheng stood among the crowd of Genius Class students. He wore a silver-white combat suit with a silver longsword slung around his waist. His features were handsome and refined, and his expression was indifferent. His gaze swept across the plaza, lingering on Ji Zhixing for a fraction of a second before moving away.

Cao Zhenxing stood at the very front of the crowd. He was heavily built with rugged features, clad in dark gold combat armor. He was the only student among them who had assimilated a Tier 5 Radiant Moon Level gene. Standing amidst the crowd, he naturally exuded an invisible, oppressive aura. He also cast a glance at Ji Zhixing, but his gaze was flat, betraying no discernible emotion.

"Everyone is here, right?"

Right at that moment, a teacher dressed in white walked over.

Ji Zhixing glanced at the teacher and found him familiar. He recognized him as the same white-clad teacher they had encountered during the fight for the Weapon Order in the Blood Beast Secret Realm.

The man was tall and slender with a lean face and meticulously combed hair. Just standing there, he possessed an unhurried, composed air about him.

Upon seeing him, the Genius Class students who had previously encountered him in the Blood Beast Secret Realm underwent a slight change in expression. A few of them even subconsciously cast looks toward the corner where Ji Zhixing and Xiao Mingyue stood. They still vividly remembered how Ji Zhixing had snatched the Weapon Order right out of their hands that day.

In particular, the Genius Class student who had assimilated the Black Water Sea King Snake gene shot a vicious glare at Xiao Mingyue. That day, after diving into the water, he hadn’t even realized what was happening before Xiao Mingyue blasted him out of the secret realm entirely. It was only afterward, through the descriptions of others, that he learned the truth of what had transpired.

The white-clad teacher swept his gaze over the assembly, pausing on each person for a brief moment before giving a subtle nod.

"The information regarding the Spirit Ruins Treasure Land has already been distributed to all of you. Remember, while you are exploring the Spirit Ruins Treasure Land to secure whatever benefits you can, you must also ensure you don’t bring shame to Yu City University."

After leaving them with those simple instructions, the white-clad teacher turned around and gave a slight bow to the empty air in front of him, his tone deeply respectful.

"Lord Azure Sky Divine Wood, please send us to the Spirit Ruins Treasure Land now."

As soon as his voice faded, a ripple of spatial fluctuation swept through the crowd. In the next instant, everyone in the plaza vanished from Yu City University—including the white-clad teacher.
