Sylas exhaled a breath that misted with blood. He could feel his body overheating.

The continuous Rune Mastery was one thing, he felt that he could take that. But the backlash this time wasn’t small. As powerful as his Will was, he was still just an E-tier.

With how powerful the Spirits of the various Lineages were, there was only so much that he could bend and twist them before they lashed out.

This time, Sylas was forcing the destruction of several Lineages and then their abrupt fusion into one.

Originally, he hadn’t even been planning on going so far, so he wasn’t ready for the backlash. But when he got all the big cat Lineages, it was clear to him that this was the only way to go.

And there was no time to stop.

Sylas’ hand turned over as though the shaking of the Lion Lineage Mountain had nothing to do with him. Waves of changes and seas of wild destruction and creation were continuously clashing against one another.

The Ancestors of the Lion Lineage could only frown. Many of whom were in silent meditation could feel the shifts in their bodies. While they didn’t experience as much of a change as the 713th Emperors did because they had long allowed the Spirit to pass on, they still had the original Spirit they were born with within them.

“Help them.” Sylas said calmly.

Yamero didn’t need an explanation, he already knew what Sylas meant. Silently, he began to help the Ancestors stabilize the temple and the Mancer Scape connection.

A good portion of the Ancestors who were seated around the temple right now were part of the Lion Lineage. As one of the four most powerful Lineages, this was no real surprise.

If too many of them faltered at once, all of the geniuses within the Mancer Scape would die. This was definitely not ideal for Sylas, so he could only ask Yamero to overextend himself a bit.

This would definitely place added strain on the Spark Weaver, but so long as the Lion Lineage and the other big cat Ancestors adapted quickly enough, there wouldn’t be anything to worry about.

That would be decided by how stubborn they decided to be or not. The only one of them who didn’t seem affected in the slightest, though… was Maldrith.

Sylas didn’t have the time to care about this. His gaze had already landed on the Lizard Lineage Orb he had stored away before.

The sea of change on the battlefield was even more wild than before. As much as 30% of the warriors fighting below instantly got huge buffs and powerups. In fact, this might very well be part of the reason why Sylas’ backlash had been so severe.

There were simply so many of them.

The change to the Vultures and the Dove happened in pockets. While there was an immediate tidal shift, it wasn’t enough to completely overturn the battlefield.

This, however, was.

It wasn’t just a shift either. In one moment, The Sanctum had been on their back foot, and in the next they were pushing the enemy back, slaughtering them in droves.

Sylas was already seen as a danger purely because of his own personal strength. He had stolen The Sanctum’s Karma as a mere F-tier. He had entered the lair of the Seeing Eye Guild, challenged them to a war where he stood alone on his side, and left without a scratch on him. He had faced off against the wrath of the Angels in front of the entire world and slaughtered their kin.

Every feat of Sylas’ had been so filled with solitude. He didn’t need anyone else, he didn’t rely on anyone else, he was in a league of his own.

And yet, not a single one of those matters was as scary as what the world was seeing today.

This proved that Sylas wasn’t a lone wolf because that was all he could be. He was a lone wolf because he didn’t care to receive help. And today, for whatever reason, he had decided to change his mind and elevate an entire organization up to his lofty standards.

What none of them could have ever imagined was that this would be little more than the start.

Sylas had little care or respect for the Lion Lineage. And yet, just now, he had allowed them to maintain their role as a King Lineage in order to maintain the balance of The Sanctum.

The roars of the 713th Lion Emperor had come to a stop, not because he was no longer enraged, but because he could feel that Sylas hadn’t knocked them down a peg. In fact, they were stronger than ever before, and the power running through the veins of this Saber King Armor was unlike any he had ever experienced.

By the time Sylas could craft the A-tier Saber King Armor for them, the 713th Lion Emperor felt that he would be thousands of times stronger than he was right now, and that might still be an underestimation.

However, the plans Sylas had for the Lineages he did have more of an appreciation for… could only be said to be world-bending.

Sylas stared at the Lizard Lineage for a long while, not moving an inch. It looked almost like he had reached his limits or was taking a break. Only those that knew Sylas the most intimately knew that he was doing something he rarely had to… He was in deep thought.

Over a year ago now, Sylas had formed a Serpent Armor for Cassarae. However, the reason he never really counted that as drawing the Serpent Lineage Armor was because it wasn’t one… it had been in remembrance of the Dino Race of Earth, a Lineage that Sylas had allowed to be passed on to Cassarae.

However, Dinos technically weren’t lizards. There were some aspects of convergent evolution that came about from their descendants, but in reality, the Dino Race were the Ancestors of birds.

And much like the big cats, there were quite a number of bird races here.

But if that was the case… why was Sylas staring at the Lizard Lineage so hard?
