Chapter 1955: Cooled [Bonus]
[Bonus chapter thanks to trippelstabb :)]
SHIIIIIIING.
DENG.
Sylas’ scythe swept outward, clashing against a sword that swept out from the darkness. For a moment, it looked like he had lashed out against shadows themselves, rays of the sun oddly not falling on the empty space properly.
But the reverberating might that crept up his arm spoke of a completely different sort of truth.
Ice crept out from the void, an arm thick and practically matted with muscle flashing into existence for a moment and then vanishing.
But just before it could disappear entirely, Sylas tapped a foot to the ground. Twinkling Runes bloomed into being and the void the blue giant hid within shattered to pieces.
A large form stumbled out. They must have been three or four meters tall, a beard of grey and frost gracing their chin. But this wasn’t due to old age in the slightest.
Royal Blue Troll. One of the three pillar Clans of the Seeing Eye Guild.
It seemed they had appeared after all.
The troll’s body was practically a wall of muscle, its imposing form oozing a cool air that crackled at the wind itself despite the speed with which it flashed by.
High in the skies, the 713th Ape Emperor and the other 713th Cycle Emperors couldn’t help but shudder, despair painting their hearts.
The problem wasn’t the troll itself. It was only a Level 150 D-tier. No matter how talented, as A-tiers, they would never fear such an existence.
The problem was what its appearance meant.
The Seeing Eye Guild was taking action.

Chi.
Burne frowned as he felt the probe on his stats. An anklet around his foot had a gem shatter to pieces and it felt like everything about him was laid bare before Sylas.
He had been told that this Sylas Grimblade was dangerous. Despite not wanting to, he had even attacked from the shadows. Yet, despite all that caution, he had still suffered what could only be described as a loss.
Standing before the man who had become more myth and legend than real in the last several weeks, Burne could feel it.
He felt small.
He towered over Sylas, his Aether was more imposing, the power running through his veins was greater. And yet, he still felt small.
“Your Will.” A voice as deep and chilly as Burne’s Aether echoed. “It should not exist within you. Who are you really? Who has descended to sow chaos here?”
Sylas’ expression was still the same deadpan cold. He knew exactly what Burne was trying to say.
He thought that someone had taken over his body to wreak havoc.
But there was just one master here.
Sylas himself.
Sylas’ stance shifted and he held out his scythe. All Burne wielded was a great sword larger than even Sylas’ own body, but it hardly mattered.
The end result would be the same.
In a flash, Sylas had vanished, appearing before Burne. His scythe had hooked around the latter’s neck, flashing into existence there as though it had always been.
Sirens of danger flooded Burne’s mind. He had no idea how Sylas had managed to get this close so quickly. And how could he deal with an attack coming from the back of his neck when the danger of Sylas was still right in front of him?
Somehow, he felt that the exaggeratedly strong bodies that his cooling Aether allowed him would be worthless here.
He would lose his head in a single strike if this landed.
Chi. Chi. Chi.
Sparks flew and another gem on Burne’s anklet shattered to pieces. But in the brief instant where Sylas’ scythe rebounded off, he managed to slip back into the void and out of the way of a follow up swipe.
Without hesitation, Burne swung his sword down from above. All the while, all he could see were these indifferent, cold, emerald eyes. Somehow, even the ring of gold around them only faded into obscurity.
Sylas’ scythe spun in his hands and arched toward the great sword from the side.
The sword glided along the arc of the scythe’s blade, forcing it into a parry to Sylas’ right.
Burne’s pupils constricted into pinholes as the more than dozen gems remaining on his anklet shattered all at once. Before he could even understand what had happened, Sylas took a step forward, bracing his scythe against his forearm and back.
The air beneath his foot shook and shattered, Sylas’ palm landing right on Burne’s chest like an erupting volcano of might.
Chaotic Space Aether churned, lightning further lacing through it.
BANG.
A hole was torn right through Burne’s body and chest, his heart being ripped to pieces.
Burne’s eyes bulged, the pain fading as quickly as it appeared.
What good did it do when he was dead?
The Royal Blue Troll plummeted through the skies, his blood forming a path in his wake that lit on fire. Without the support of his Aether, his boiling body temperature no longer had anything to restrain it.
Sylas looked down at the falling Royal Blue Troll, his eyes following him as though he couldn’t feel the silence that hung in the air.
Not a single soul expected the battle to end like this. Not so easily. Especially not with the victory of an E-tier.
It had looked like Sylas was taking candy from a baby.
But what Sylas did next was only more ridiculous.
He waved a hand and a complex seal of Life appeared below. Burne’s body fell right through it and it was like the

forms beyond that until all that was left was layer after layer of F-tier Runes.
Sylas saw through him all at a glance and in a blink, the F-tier Ape Emperor Armor had appeared on his body, but
this one was different.
It wasn’t red. It was blue.
It gave off a wild, frosty aura.
And as Sylas’ body overheated, his physical stats doubling, and then tripling as his heart threatened to beat out of
his chest.
The armor cooled him down.
The furious roar of a Royal Blue Troll peeled across the skies like thunder.
