Chapter 1844: Gold City [Bonus]

The time flashed before the eyes of every citizen of Earth.

And then it began to wind down faster, and faster.

Suddenly every second became worth two, then three, then four, and then sharply ten.

A strange energy was being continuously ripped from the roads painted high in the skies. They seemed to try to retract and retreat, but it failed completely.

It was said that Earth had had six growth periods, each one accelerated through in the last year. This was the final one, one that should have placed them amongst the level of Gold Worlds while the Milky Way Galaxy would firmly enter the realm of Silver Galaxies.

The value of the two were about equivalent considering the scope. But there wasn't a single Gold World in the entirety of the Milky Way Sector.

The appearance of one was bound to change everything, and the act of its manifestation was something that not a single soul in their Horizon would miss, let alone their Sector.

And the change was even more violent with Sylas forcefully accelerating it all.

The flames deep in the core of Earth rampaged.

And then the timer hit zero.

To the outside world, Earth was nothing but a vacant mass in space. Finding it was nearly impossible, though not entirely so. If one was careful, did calculations based on orbits, it was still possible to know that an Earth existed.

But finding its exact location within its orbit would have required someone of exceptional strength capable of surfing through the void of space under mostly their own might.

And then, even if by some miracle you could, stepping onto such a place without adequate preparation and means to hide from the eyes of the system would have been a death sentence.

And none of this even considered the fact that you would have to repeat this process across countless star systems, and countless galaxies, for countless quadrants, until you finally found one that fit the bill... Finding a world protected by the system and just mature enough to be worth investing in right before its Summoning was a near impossible task. Such worlds themselves were so rare that there wasn't a single being alive in the Milky Way Sector that had ever personally witnessed such a thing.

And now they would.

No matter where you were in the Sector, and even further beyond in the Horizon should your strength be enough, you could see the pillar of gold that seemed to connect the ends of the universe together.

It extended into infinity upward and downward, splitting the vast nothingness into a sea of two.

The world rumbled and shook, a city located far beneath its surface slowly rising barely a few hundred meters from Casstle Main.

Sylas looked down from the skies, his eyes blazing with his Progenitor Flames as though he was staring into the

core of the world itself.

"... You're not as clever as you think you are."

Sylas' voice echoed out. It would have sounded bored if not for the icy chill beneath it.

His fury had yet to play out entirely, and someone just so happened to be coming to satiate it.

[World-Wide Announcement]

[Gold City {City of Gold} has revealed its True Name to the world.]

[Gold City {Lost City of Greed} has established itself, becoming the first Gold City of Earth.] —

A beam of golden light rose up from the center of the Earth. Slowly, it began to split outward.

Everywhere the light touched, gold was left in its wake.

Trees, their branches, their trunks and leaves. Rocks and soil, up to the mountains that pierced the clouds and down the valleys that cracked the earth.

The light crept forward and toward Casstle Main. There was a flash and the barrier itself began to crack as it became a shell of gold itself as well.

And then the Lord City of Greed appeared, a temple built of golden bricks and reminiscent of Mayan Ancient

History.
