Chapter 1534 His Queen [Bonus]

[Bonus thanks TheAuthor137 <3 may your favorite sports team reach the finals four years in a row only to fall short every time. Maybe next year bud] Sylas stood in silence, feeling the changes. Maybe it was because his senses had become more acute, or maybe it was because this battle weighed very heavily, but he had simply never experienced the feeling of his Wheel of Fortune moving so clearly before.

He had still yet to begin building his Foundation, and yet it was only becoming more and more of a prominent feeling.

Normally, defeating a C-tier like Patriarch Dazeth wouldn’t mean much at all. His stats were shocking, but only compared to F-tiers. The number one D-tier disciple of the Sanctum already had about half of Patriarch Dazeth’s stats.

Of course, that also painted the picture of the sheer gap between every tier.

The D-tiers here only had about 10% of Sylas’ stats, and yet a single step up to C-tier— and a low-leveled C-tier, for that matter—already had ten times that of Sylas’ stats, ignoring the effects of Primus Luminaria.

The C-tiers of the Sanctum, then, would only be even more exaggerated. They probably had stats in the nine figures, judging by all of this, if not even more than that.

This was all to say that a C-tier like Patriarch Dazeth had the name recognition but lacked any of the substance. And yet, Sylas’ Wheel of Fortune still reacted so fiercely… And there was very good reason for that.

The Wheel of Fortune was like any of the best treasures in the universe. It was intelligent, understood intent, and could measure out things like Karma so precisely it could decide the exact percentage of credit Sylas deserved for a victory.

Obviously, this time, Sylas was given 100% of the credit. But the real reason he benefited so much was because the Wheel of Fortune was also smart enough to understand that this was Sylas’ home. He was born in this galaxy.

Being able to defeat a C-tier of your own territory versus coming down from a much stronger territory to do the same thing weighed completely differently.

One of the ways the little girl mentioned to get a Legendary Foundation was by defeating a B-tier with 100% of the credit. Obviously, Patriarch Dazeth was no B-tier. However… Everything else Sylas had done had more than bridged the gap in other ways.

What the little girl mentioned back then—defeating the E-tier of an S-Grade Race, defeating a B-tier, or becoming an S-Grade Race himself—were all methods of how to get his Foundation to Legendary in one go.

But what if Sylas had done many other little things, all building up to this moment?

There either wasn’t a Title above King Slayer, or it didn’t appear because Primus imperium took precedent over it. After all, Primus Imperium had shattered his King Slayer Title the moment it appeared.

However, what Sylas could be certain of was that his Foundation was nearly perfect. “Champion Will… it’s what gained the most from this…”

Sylas clenched and then unclenched his fists, repeating once, then twice, then thrice before it all settled down.

His Primus Imperium Title only allowed him to ignore the suppression of D-tiers. The only reason he could ignore suppression from Patriarch Dazeth was because he had his Progenitor status.

BUt NOW…

Sylas’ green-gold Will bloomed across his body.

t’s not as perfect as before, but I should be able to ignore at least a portion of a C-tier’s suppression now.

Sylas was confident they could certainly kill Fowler like this. Once Brama finished fixing up the ship, between his Primus Luminaria suppression of Fowler—not to mention his Progenitor status—he bet Brama would be able to make short work of the old man. Turning, Sylas went to Cassarae’s eyes. In a rare moment, he found himself in a bit of a daze.

He had been too focused on saving her earlier, not to mention the fact she was beaten and bloodied, but…

Sylas had always felt Cassarae was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. He never said it or even thought it because he wasn’t really moved by such things—or at least he liked to pretend that he wasn’t.

Was it actually true that Cassarae was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen? It was hard to say. She had an especially delicate slope to her cheeks and nose, her skin was so rich in its caramel hues, and so soft to the touch. And as beautiful as her face was, her body… Well, it could be said that maybe the one thing Alex was right about was his assessment of it.

But right now, it felt like she was on a completely different level. Was it because of her Race upgrade?

Sylas was so lost in her sleeping expression that even his calculative mind didn’t care to answer that. He barely acknowledged that it was probably true as he kept staring.

It was such an odd feeling. It was like she hadn’t changed at all, and yet like everything had changed.

“Her Race… it upgraded to A, but…

As Cassarae’s husband, it wasn’t strictly necessary for her to consent to see her full status screen. The list of new Skills and her stats, not to mention her Race, were all clear to him. The source of this content s novel{f}ire.net

It seemed that Cassarae’s previous Race had been completely overwritten, becoming a Human Simioid like he was.

Her hair seemed a bit wilder, having grown so long it was barely an inch or two from dragging across the ground as she walked. Her canines were longer, and her hands had claws on them as well. He felt her skin was a half shade darker too, so rich it almost reminded him of coffee and heavy cream.

He was also fairly certain her hips were wider and her breasts prouder now.

A raging Lust that had been in Sylas’ belly for months now threatened to swallow him whole, but he pushed it down, picking her up and walking out of the exploding ship.

He still had many things to do, and it had been too long since he visited home.
