Genetic Ascension

Chapter 1480: Morphic Silver

Sylas rampaged through the territory until he made it to the very center of it all.

This floor worked a little differently than the others. There was likely no Quicktime Event to trigger so long as another team didn’t appear.

It was far more like a real Dungeon.

Of course, Sylas’ advantages were still the same, albeit more difficult to use. If he wanted to, all he had to do was run. So long as he made it to the barriers, he could slip out using the map on his person.

But Sylas felt that it would be foolish of him to do this.

it was fine on the first floor because he had to hurry and make some distance between himself and everyone else so he could guarantee his position. But right now, not only did he have a buffer, but if he was in too much of a rush, he would miss out on the rewards. He had only come across a few rewards on the first floor because he had been lucky enough to run into the stairs so soon. But how could he miss out on the rewards the individual territories gave him this time?

Where else would he so easily find Legendary Genes?

The answer seemed to be not here either.

[Frost Giant Fortress Cleared]

[Rewards]

[Eternal Frost Legacy]

Sylas couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow when the tome wrapped in ice and blue runes fell into his palms. It was a Rune Mastery Legacy—quite a powerful one too.

As far as Sylas could tell, though it only seemed to have descriptions up to the D-Grade, it was at the same level as the Time Tome and the Space Tome. Individually, of course. Had Sylas run into this on Earth, he would have been enamored.

“Hm. This actually might be perfect for Nosphaleen.’

Sylas tossed the book into his Hibernation Realm.

Though he could use his methods to teach Nosphaleen his Archon Casting, it would require a level of talent she didn’t have to properly execute.

Sylas had yet to run into a Spark Master with his level of talent, even amongst those Champions he had fought. They had all been wholly inferior.

As he pieced together the talent of the universe, he realized that maybe only someone of an A-Grade Race could match him in Rune Mastery at the F-tier.

Nosphaleen was obviously far beneath that. Though he was confident in guiding her, he had to pick the right path for her first.

Sylas left and entered another territory.

Finally, he ended up with a reward from this tower that he could actually use now. Well, aside from the Legendary Wisdom Gene.

[Morphic Silver Bearings (9) (Legendary)]

(Level: 1]

[Ability: Harden; Flow]

[Freely change from a state of solid to liquid and back]

[Mass is <1.05x> that of one’s telekinetic limit]

(increase Physical of telekinetic limit by <1.05x>]

[Level Up Requirement: <1 Silver> Gene]

Durability: 50/50]

There was a flash and nine perfect silver marbles appeared before Sylas. Though each one was only about the width of a thumbnail, Sylas’ perception told him something different.

Whatever special material or technique had formed these bearings had folded them in on themselves so much that their surface area was nothing short of shocking.

Sylas wrapped them in his telekinesis, focusing on one. Then, with a thought, it actually began to expand.

From the size of a thumbnail, it grew to the size of a baseball, and then a basketball, and then twice that.

To Sylas’ shock, it just kept going. It felt lie he could expand it even to the size of a small hill without the slightest effort.

Part of him realized this was because of his Will and telekinetic ability. Another F-tier would definitely have trouble controlling this.

Without the slightest bit of hesitation, Sylas began to feed it. It had been very long since he had had weapons that matched well with his telekinesis. If the abilities of his Scorned Wraps were going to become so much weaker the moment he stepped out of this place, it was impossible for him not to take advantage of this.

it was his first Legendary Path Treasure of such a shocking Grade. His best Legendary Path Treasure in the past was nowhere near the Legendary Grade.

[Morphic Silver Bearings (22?) (Legendary)]

(Level: 50 (MAX)]

[Ability: Harden; Flow]

[Freely change from a state of solid to liquid and back]

[Mass is <500x> that of one’s telekinetic limit]

[increase Physical of telekinetic limit by <10x>]

Durability: NA/NA]

The bearings twinkled and then broke apart under Sylas’ Will. Changing and morphing, they became a river of silver mercury, dancing around him as though forming roaring rivers.

This river was so heavy that the churning of its waves sounded akin to claps of thunder. A single movement could level an entire city with nothing more than the briefest of thoughts.

And yet, just as quickly as it did this, it vanished into a single ball, the original nine it had formed from being nowhere to see.

It landed on Sylas’ palm calmly, and then broke apart once again into threads, weaving into his clothing—or, rather, what was left of them.

Sylas pulled them out of his clothes and then formed a pair of glasses with them instead, the silvery lenses growing thin to the point they looked little different from real glass. Then, it all landed in Sylas’ palms again.

It was perfect.

The only shame was that it couldn’t progress beyond Level 50, but as powerful as a Legendary Grade Treasure was, Sylas was confident it would be able to keep up with him even given his own shocking strength.

Without much thought, Sylas progressed to the next territory, clearing it even quicker with his new treasure.

Unfortunately, he began to run into a string of rewards that weren’t very useful to him again before he finally ran into something else interesting.

“oh?’

Sylas’ eyes narrowed.

He had yet to run into a 100 Foundation Rune that wasn’t of his own creation.

This time would be the first.
