Chapter 1380: Another
Sylas’ lip twitched. Maybe Cassarae was the only one capable of making him do such a thing. He had never heard something more ridiculous in his life. But honestly speaking, he really didn’t know what, if any, sexually transmitted diseases a Demoness might carry.
It was a valid concern. Though this world seemed illness- and disease-free, that wasn’t the case. It just meant that those who did contract illnesses and diseases tended to have some of the worst ailments under the sun.
One could imagine that the sort of diseases that would harm mortals and the like would be shrugged off by powerhouses like them. Meaning, the ones that could latch onto them, well… They would probably kill anyone from pre-Summoning Earth instantly.
Even so, Sylas’ Madness Control was to the point he could personally trigger his own autophagy and stop his sperm from leaving his body. If he had such a disease, he would know.
While he didn’t bother to explain this to Cassarae, what he did explain was more details about why he did what he did.
In the end, Cassarae sat on the corner of the bed, wedged between two walls of the room they were in, the bed sheets once again firmly wrapped around her body as she stared at Sylas with a hardly concealed sneer.
“So what? I’m just supposed to accept that this is the way you improve now? Actually, I’m perfectly fine with it. Teach me your [Madness Control] Skill and I’ll go and fuck a few ogres myself. I’m sure their cocks are much larger than yours.”
Sylas didn’t reply.
“What? You don’t like that?” Cassarae’s sneer deepened. “I just want to keep up with my husband. Unless you want the gap between us to be so far apart that you can continue doing whatever the hell you want without consequences.”
“Are you upset because I did it? Or are you upset because I didn’t speak to you about it first?”
The sudden question took Cassarae off guard again. This Sylas really had a way of doing that to her, and it only triggered her all the more sometimes.
“Why don’t you go jump off the nearest star bridge right into a flaming sun and figure it out yourself, you piece of shit.”
Sylas gazed at Cassarae for a long while, his expression not changing much at all.
He would have gladly told her ahead of time, it was just that there wasn’t much of a chance. He had thought of the plan in real time, and it wasn’t like Demonesses as powerful as the Duchess grew on trees.
Demons only really appeared on Summoned Worlds where the system still spawned their encampments. After a world proved themselves capable of holding them off, the system stopped doing that.
The only places Demons appeared naturally in the wider universe were either in special Dungeons, in secret places, or at the border between realities.
Of course, “realities” wasn’t exactly the right way to say it, as they were technically just two halves of the same universe. But they might as well have been a completely different reality nonetheless.
That said, telling her in advance wouldn’t stop Cassarae from being upset. She just wouldn’t be as upset.
She was a stubborn woman regardless. But to be fair to her, this was less about her stubbornness and more about the natural boundaries a person should have.
Even if she was the most docile woman in existence, she would have the right to be upset. The fact she was just saying a few harsh words was actually a sign of real restraint on her part.
“I’ll figure out another way.”
Sylas’ words cut across a string of curses Cassarae had been about to launch into.
“What did you say?” Cassarae suddenly looked at him for real this time. Instead of seeing a punching bag for her to launch her barbed words at, she was looking at Sylas in earnest.
“I’ll find another way.”

Cassarae frowned.
She knew Sylas well. He was telling the truth, and if he was telling the truth, it meant that this method wasn’t just important to him, but it was shocking beyond reason.
To find a way to erase the weakness of being born in such a weak body… that was simply ridiculous. If she wasn’t so pissed off, she might even be impressed.
“You…”
Sylas stood, his muscles rippling as veins pulsed along his body.
He didn’t find it to be a big deal. Back in the Golden Grove’s secret world, he had little choice available to him. Without the boosts that came from perfecting his Race foundation, he would have likely died in there.
But he was a Primus Dominus, a Primus Luminaria, a Primus Imperium.
With the whole world laid out before him, he could easily think of another method. The idea that that was the only way was ridiculous. If he could think of one way, he could think of a second.
Cassarae bit her lip. She had an understanding of this world that was shallower than Sylas’, sure… but it was far more in-depth than anyone from Earth, to be certain. She had been drowning in the information resources of the Petals of the Seeing Thorn for almost a year already. It would be hard for her not to be well-informed.
What Sylas was saying casually now was impossible. But so was the fact he had done it in the first place. Now he wanted to find a second way?
“… Where the hell are you going?”
Sylas walked to a corner and seemed about to put a pair of boxers on.
“I need to learn the E-Grade Scorpion Warlord Armor, or else I’ll be wasting my potential. Probably settle some things at the Sanctum, then I need to head out on a mission to upgrade to a C-Grade Race—hopefully B-Grade.”
“Where the hell are you going?”
The words being spoken again made Sylas look back to find that Cassarae had pulled the bed sheets away. That delicate caramel skin, those breasts—so full and round, and yet dropping with such a delicate and elastic dip—and then the way her legs parted.
“If you don’t come over here and fuck me again, I really am going to go and find that og—”
She didn’t finish her words.
