“WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?” Shelur cursed in amazement as she finished reading the blessing, while Black Dragoon sighed and said. “Well, I guess that explains it, as well as your bad luck on loot rolls”

“A blessing from one god is already incredible, but a second?” Emberslag remarked as she looked at John in amazement, causing him to think. {I probably shouldn’t mention how Elrinira wants to bless me.}

“That right place, right time blessing definitely explains everything that’s happened with regard to mine and Dream Star’s classes,” Shizu stated, while Shelur added. “And my summoning of you, though that could still be more associated with Elrinira, honestly.”

“Bountiful loot and weighted dice seem to counteract each other, or maybe it’s better to say that they balance one another out,” Mel remarked. “The greater chance of getting the best items on a loot pool and also a bonus item of defeated players is awesome; I guess that explains the succubus summoning tome appearing.”

Emberslag nodded in agreement before adding, “ Most of the weighted dice passive isn’t too bad since you rarely pull anything amazing from trash mobs; even those items we got will be replaced in a few levels. The issue is with the quest item drops; that could cause you some real pain.”

“It hasn’t affected the bandit insignias from dropping,” John replied before adding. “Also, it says it only affects trash mobs; why were my pulls on the boss bad then?”

If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

Emberslag thought for a moment before saying, “I’m guessing it's because the insignias are a guaranteed drop, though I honestly have no idea with regard to the two rings.”

“You know that just the right place, right time passive will get you into any party, right?” Shelur asked. “All you have to do is show them this, and they’ll be begging you to join.”

“While Shelur's not wrong, you should still be wary about who you show this to, as it's easily exploited,” Emberslag warned. “The buff just requires people to be around you; it doesn't say anything about you needing to be in a party with them. Honestly, you probably shouldn't have even shown us this.”

“Perhaps, but I think I've got a good read on your characters,” John said, shrugging. “You invited me to join you in this dungeon run, and for good or bad, my presence here has altered it in a way that you deserve an explanation. Not to mention that each of you has been kind and patient enough to explain things to me as we go, knowing full well that I should have already learnt all this.”

Emberslag and the other women smiled in response before she said, “Then shall we continue and take a look around for these records?”

“Since I appear to be joining you on this dungeon run, mind sharing your quests with me?” Shizu asked, to which Shelur smirked and said. “I could always dismiss you and send you back to the underworld.”

Shizu raised an eyebrow before asking, “Can you, though?”

Shelur was quiet for a moment before she frowned and said, “No, I can’t. I’m also unable to summon another succubus or that damn noisy imp.” As she finished speaking, she waved her hand and shared a notification.

[Since Ninth Wonder of the World is a player, you are unable to dismiss her.]

[Goddess Elrinira’s interference means you will be unable to summon anything for twelve hours.]

“Not entirely surprising since you did summon a player,” Emberslag remarked as she shared the quests with Shizu. “I’m not sure if you’ll be able to complete them; we’ve collected almost half the Insignias and freed over half the animals.”

“Well, can’t hurt to have them just in case,” Shizu replied as she began to read through the quests while the others searched the room for the records they needed, which Emberslag quickly found.

Upon touching them, they burst into particles of light that flew towards each of the six before a notification popped up.

[Quest Update]

[Recover White Tiger Bandits Records: 5/5]

“How are we supposed to show all five to whoever we hand this quest into?” John asked in confusion. “I mean, we can’t all have five unless we go together.”

“Most dungeon quests don’t work like that,” Emberslag replied before explaining. “When you first entered the dungeon, you got the quests automatically; the same applies when you finish the dungeon. All the quests end when the dungeon does, and you will either pass or fail it and get the corresponding reward or punishment.

Only certain quests require them to be handed in to someone outside the dungeon. I’m guessing the white tiger one will be like that, and Dream Star will have to return the tiger to the Emerald Enclave.”

“Ah ok I understand,” John said with a nod. After which, they all left the room and crossed the hallway to the other door on the other side, which they noticed had been left open.

Upon entering, they found nothing but wooden crates and cages dumped around the edges; however, on the far side of the room was another door that they could hear the sound of voices emanating from.

“Finally, we get to eat venison again; it’s been ages.” One voice said.

“Agreed, it’s about time you gave us this again, Kan. How long have we been asking?” Another voice said.

“Shut it, you lot. You know I can only serve you what gets brought to me, so if you want venison more often the catch some fucking deer.” A third voice, presumably belonging to this Kan, replied.

Emberslag pushed the door ajar slightly, allowing them to see inside the next room, which turned out to be some sort of basic dining hall where tables and chairs were set up across the room and what looked like a basic kitchen ran along the back wall.

There were seven bandits in the dining hall sitting at tables while eating, drinking and talking, while an eighth, presumably Kan, was working in the kitchen area.

“Fuuuucccckkkkkk,” Shelur cursed in a low tone as she saw the stats of the mobs, before everyone turned and stared at Shizu.

“What?” Shizu asked in an innocent tone, which caused Mel to roll her eyes and ask. “What do you mean, what? Can’t you see the eight veterans and even one boss mob inside the room?”

Black Dragoon nodded before saying, “Your appearance has raised the difficulty of this entire dungeon by one level? Tell me, when exactly has a level one dungeon had a veteran boss with those stats? This is essentially now a rank two dungeon.”

“Don’t blame me,” Shizu replied defensively. “Elrinira sent me here against my will, remember.”

Emberslag sighed before saying, “At least we’ll get better loot out of this now that the difficulty has increased.” Though as she said that, she couldn’t help but glance at John before adding awkwardly. “Well, most of us will.”

At least that blessing doesn’t affect the experience I receive,” John said with a sigh while waving his hand dismissively before asking in confusion, “Why does the veteran boss have such high stats? They’re even greater than what Sog had?”
