Gene Domination: The Loli Who Devours Worlds
Chapter 215: Piloting Gipsy Danger
The entire control room instantly entered a state of combat!
Sterk’s expression turned solemn as he strode to the main control console.
His eyes were fixed on the rapidly moving red dot on the screen, his mind racing.
Level Four Kaiju.
It wasn’t an ordinary Kaiju, but a terrifying existence capable of destroying a City.
“Immediately initiate Level 1 evacuation protocols! Notify all coastal residents to enter air-raid shelters at once!”
“Order all Jaeger combat units to standby status!”
Orders were rapidly dispatched.
The entire base was preparing for the impending battle.
Just then—
A youthful voice sounded from behind Sterk.
“Since the Kaiju has appeared, let me do it.”
Sterk turned around and met those crimson eyes.
Lilith stood there, her small figure appearing exceptionally tiny amidst the bustling crowd.
But her voice was as calm as if she were mentioning a trivial matter.
“I will pilot the Jaeger myself and deal with it.”
Sterk was stunned.
Under normal circumstances, he would never entrust the lives of millions in a City to someone who had never piloted a Jaeger.
This was his duty as the Commander-in-Chief.
It was his responsibility to the millions of people in the City.
But—
He looked into Lilith’s calm eyes.
In those eyes, there was no arrogance of a newborn calf, no anxiety to prove herself.
There was only a kind of… certainty.
As if what she said would definitely come true.
The Kaiju had appeared, and time was short.
Sterk only hesitated for a moment before making his decision.
He nodded.
“Fine.”
His voice was steady.
“But I will deploy two more Jaeger units as a precaution.”
This was his final line.
Lilith did not object.
The corners of her mouth merely curled up slightly into a faint smile.
“Then I want to pilot—”
She paused, her gaze passing through the control room’s glass toward the massive Jaeger bay in the distance.
There, a blue-gray behemoth stood silently.
It was humanity’s first nuclear-powered Jaeger, the symbol of the Jaeger Program, and the most legendary of all Jaegers.
“Gipsy Danger.”
Sterk gave her a deep look.
He said nothing more.
He simply nodded.
“Very well.”
The alarms continued to blare.
Outside the window, the afterglow of the setting sun spilled over the massive Jaeger, plating it in a layer of golden light.
…
Inside the massive Jaeger bay, Gipsy Danger stood silently.
Its eighty-six-meter-tall steel body and blue-gray paint shimmered with a cold luster under the lights.
Nuclear-powered, Plasma Cannons, Chain Swords, and that iconic circular chest cavity.
Lilith stood at the Jaeger’s feet, looking up at the behemoth.
Behind her, Sterk and several staff members quickly caught up.
“The cockpit is in the chest; we need the lift platform to take you up.”
One of the staff members said.
Lilith shook her head.
She tapped her toes lightly, her petite body leaping up and jumping directly onto the dozens-of-meters-high Jaeger.
The staff members were stunned.
Sterk’s lip twitched slightly, but he said nothing.
The cockpit door opened, and Lilith slipped inside.
The interior space was larger than she had imagined.
Two pilot seats were side-by-side, surrounded by dense control equipment and display screens.
The specialized neural-link Exoskeleton Suits hung nearby, seemingly prepared for dual piloting.
Lilith glanced at her clothes.
Ever-Changing Rubik’s Cube.
With a thought, the casual outfit she was wearing instantly began to flow and transform.
A flash of silver-white light passed, and a form-fitting, high-tech silver-white Exoskeleton Suit perfectly adhered to her petite frame.
She walked to the pilot’s seat, her body completely docking with the Jaeger’s mechanical arms.
She raised her hand and pressed it against the connection devices.
In the next moment—
Blinding electrical currents surged from the devices, completing the connection with her body!
Lilith closed her eyes.
Her Spirit surged out like a tide, instantly flooding into this massive steel body!
Boom—
At that moment, the whole world changed.
She was no longer in a cramped cockpit.
She was inside an eighty-six-meter-tall steel behemoth.
Every mechanical arm, every piece of armor, every joint, every wire—all appeared clearly in her perception.
It was as if they weren’t cold machines, but a part of her own body.
Lilith opened her eyes.
In her crimson eyes, a light of excitement flickered.
So that’s how it is.
Humans use these connection devices to control massive Jaegers.
Theoretically—
As long as the Jaeger’s structural integrity is sufficient, and as long as the pilot’s physical strength is sufficient…
It can be operated entirely in overdrive!
Lilith raised her right hand.
The Jaeger simultaneously raised its right hand.
The five fingers spread open, the movement fluid and smooth without the slightest delay.
Then—
She suddenly clenched it!
“Bang!”
A thunderous crack!
It was a sonic boom!
Centered on her fist, the air was instantly compressed and detonated, letting out a piercing explosion!
And outside—
Gipsy Danger’s massive steel fist also suddenly clenched!
It also produced a sonic boom!
But fine cracks appeared on the surface of the massive iron fist.
Metal fatigue, localized damage.
Lilith looked down at the fist, a smile playing on her lips.
It was just as she had guessed.
The benefit of the synchronous link was that as long as the Jaeger’s strength was sufficient, she could fully exert her original body’s Speed and power!
Of course, the material of this Jaeger still couldn’t withstand her full power.
But to deal with a mere Level Four Kaiju—
It was enough.
Lilith looked up, gazing through the cockpit’s view toward the azure sea in the distance.
There, a Level Four Kaiju was approaching.
The smile on her lips deepened.
“It’s a very good feeling.”
She whispered to herself.
“Well then—”
A flash of burning battle intent flickered in her crimson eyes.
“I hope this Level Four Kaiju can keep me entertained.”
Outside the cockpit, Sterk stood before the monitoring screens, watching the now-activated Gipsy Danger.
“What’s the sync rate?”
He asked.
The technician looked at the data on the screen, his voice trembling slightly.
“Sync rate… 100%.”
Sterk’s pupils contracted slightly.
100% sync rate.
That was a number that only existed in theory.
And that Little Girl was only piloting for the first time.
“And…”
The technician continued, his voice trembling even more.
“The Jaeger’s power output is operating in overdrive. It has reached 150% of the design specifications and is still rising!”
Sterk fell silent.
He gazed at the petite figure on the screen, speechless for a long time.
Perhaps humanity really had found a new hope for fighting the Kaiju.
Or perhaps—
What they had brought in wasn’t hope at all.
But another, even more terrifying… monster.
