Gathering Wives with a System

Chapter 479 Receiving A Cultural Shock

X-019’s thoughts grew colder, and more condensing.

His partner, Elyndra, who stood beside him and behind the Third Priest knew his thoughts.

Normally, she would have said something by now.

Something like, “Don’t underestimate your opponent,” or “Arrogance leads to mistakes.”

But this time, she stayed silent.

Because, for once, X-019 wasn’t entirely wrong.

No matter how strange Isaac’s abilities were, no matter how fast he had grown, the people gathered in this hall were not ordinary opponents.

These were Lords who had survived for decades. People who had built power piece by piece, who had armies, resources, and systems refined over years.

They were the cream of the crop.

And Isaac… had only just entered their world.

Even if he had something special, even if he had managed to gather some advantages early on, it wouldn’t be enough. Not here. Not against all of them.

Elyndra’s gaze moved slightly across the hall.

Different Lords sat in their designated areas, each surrounded by their subordinates. Some were calm. Some were quietly observant. Others didn’t bother hiding their hostility.

But there was one thing they all shared.

Expectation.

This was a feeding ground.

Isaac had been called here.

He would be shown what true strength looked like, and whether he understood it or not, today was the day he would be divided between Lords here like a spoil of war.

At that moment, the large doors of the meeting hall finally opened.

The sound was low, heavy, drawing every bit of attention in the room.

Conversation stopped.

Eyes shifted.

Isaac walked in.

Behind him, his entourage followed without breaking formation.

For a brief second, the room stayed quiet.

Then, almost simultaneously, every Lord and their subordinates activated their Inspect items.

Thin translucent screens appeared across the hall.

Name: Isaac Hargraves

Rank: Level 20 Adept

Titles: Error! Target has too many Titles to be categorized!

Species: Human-Error! Target’s Species cannot be determined!

Class: Genetic Harvester (SSS+)

Talent: Error! Target’s Talent is too high ranked to be categorized!

Stats:

Strength: 2000

Agility: 2000

Constitution: 2000

Spirit Power: 2000

Mana: 2000

Bloodline: Error! Target has too many Bloodlines to be categorized! Physique: Error! Target has too many Physiques to be categorized!

Elements: Error! Target has too many Elements to be categorized!

Skills: Error! Target has too many Skills to be categorized!

No one spoke.

For a moment, it felt like the entire room had simply… paused.

X-019’s expression stiffened.

‘What the hell is this?”

At first glance, the name and level were easy to process.

Level 20 Adept.

High for someone who had awakened only weeks ago, but not impossible. With enough resources, with enough risk-taking, it could

be achieved.

Unusual, but acceptable.

But then the rest of the screen-

His eyes narrowed.

Titles: Error! Target has too many Titles to be categorized!

The Inspect item he was using wasn’t low-grade. It was the best grade available, something only the powerful Lords here would have.

It could list every Title unless the number exceeded twenty.

‘He has more than twenty Titles?’

“This guy who awakened weeks ago?”

X-019 wasn’t the only one thinking it.

Across the hall, expressions shifted. Some frowned. Others leaned forward slightly, checking again as if the screen might correct itself.

It didn’t.

The Lords were starting to question if the intel they had received about Isaac’s awakening time period was wrong.

The next line was worse.

Species: Human- Error! Target’s Species cannot be determined!

The item had determined him as human, but halfway through, the item glitched, unable to confirm him as human.

What did this even mean?

He was either human, or sub-human, or some other species.

How can someone’s species not be determined!?

Then their eyes shifted down again.

Class: Genetic Harvester (SSS+)

SSS+ rank Class meant Isaac had managed to upgrade his Talent to

SSS+ rank, then gotten a Class Advancement Quest, then received a

Class.

What were SSS+ Classes?

They were mythical Classes that only a small minority would even

know about.

Most people believed SSS rank was the limit. That’s how rare SSS+ rank Classes were.

Even the Lords here would not have many subordinates with SSS+

rank Class.

Moreover, Class Quest for SSS+ rank Class would obviously have

nightmarish difficulty.

It made no sense Isaac completed it already, when he awakened only

a few weeks ago.

The Lords had a strange gaze.

‘Does this kid have 48 hours in a day? No, even 48 hours in a day

wouldn’t be enough to do so much!

‘Upgraded Talent to SSS+ rank, completed Class Quest of SSS+ rank Class, unlocked more than 20 Titles!

‘All of this would easily take years!

These were the thoughts of all Lords.

But when they looked at the next line, they almost chocked on their

breath.

Talent’s rank was too high to be determined?

What do you mean it’s too high a rank to be determined!? Only Talents above Transcendent rank could not be determined.

‘How the hell did he even upgrade to Transcendent Rank Talent. “That’s something even we will have to bleed tears of blood to do!” The Lords were shocked. Transcendent rank Talent was too high. If they were in disbelief that Isaac had SSS rank Farming Talent, now

they were starting to wonder if they were under an illusion attack.

This made no sense!

Firstly, gaining the Trial’s Tickets that gave Talent fragments were a nightmare. Secondly, completing those Trials was even harder. You would have to fight abominably powerful beings from the past while doing some insanely high level of difficulty quest.

After all of this, you still wouldn’t have enough Talent Fragments to upgrade Talent to Transcendent Rank.

You would have to complete the Trial several times. And since most

Trials gave a new Quest each time, you would have to face unknown challenges each time!

‘Bloody hell. What is wrong with this dude?’

‘How did he upgrade the Farming Talent to Transcendent rank?’

As if it was not already explicable how Isaac had time to upgrade so

many things, it made no sense how he could find so many Trial

Tickets, and complete all of them successfully.

Wasn’t his Class Farmer?

Many Trials would be combat based, or have a portion where combat

was needed.

How was he fighting in the Trials?

The Lords were unconsciously reminded of the Crimson Sky Wyrm’s

video. Their faces scrunched up, recalling Isaac spamming one skill

after another.

Healing. Single-target attacks. AOE. Area Control. This Farmer had too many abilities!

What the hell was wrong with him? Did the System forget he was a

Farmer and give him a different set of abilities than he was supposed

to receive!? Then, the Lords looked at his Stats. ‘What in the damnation? Stats are maxed?’

‘It definitely can’t be done in such a short time with training!

‘He must have used potions. ‘Where is he getting so many potions from?’

‘In the first place, he should’ve been mana poisoned, or developed an

immunity to the potions after consuming so many of the same types! If consuming potions was enough, all Lords here would be forcing their subordinates to chug them up. Unfortunately, people would either develop immunity to specific potions or get mana poisoning after consuming too many potions.

And this guy maxed out his stats.

Maxed out all stats at that?

The Lords thought they would not be shocked anymore.

But then they looked at Bloodlines, and their eyes nearly popped out.

Too many bloodlines to categorize?

What the fuck?

The Lords cursed inwardly at the impossible truth before their eyes.

How was this even possible?

A person could not have more than one bloodline. Having two

bloodlines could cause them to clash, and the person’s body would explode.

If you gained a new bloodline through a System reward, it would fuse with your current bloodline and grant you skills.

Everyone would have only one bloodline in the end.

But this guy had too many bloodlines to count?

The Lords didn’t even know it was possible to get such an error for

the Bloodlines Inspect. Then, they looked at Physiques.

They blinked, rubbed their eyes, and looked again.

The screen didn’t change.

‘????’

‘He has more than one Physique?”

‘How is that physically possible?’

A Physique wasn’t something abstract. It was your body’s fundamental

structure. The way your form existed, the way it functioned. If someone had a blade-type physique, their arms would be blades. That wasn’t a skill. That was their body.

If they had another physique that required a different structure, then what?

Two different types of arms? That didn’t make sense.

Unlike bloodlines where having more than one could cause the

Bloodlines to either fuse or clash against each other and explode, here it was simply impossible to have more than one Physique. Yet, the freak of nature in front of him had “too many physiques to be categorized”.

Then, Elements.

‘What?’

“This is also too many Elements to count?’

‘Does it make sense?’

‘Even Apex-rank species have four to six elements maximum!

‘The only time the Inspect shows ‘too many elements to categorize’ is

when we are inspecting monsters with 10+ Elements.’ ‘But you are clearly a Player!’

‘How the hell do you have too many Elements to be categorized!?”

If the Lords didn’t have their dignity to maintain, they would be

cursing Isaac openly for having such freakish status. Lastly, Skills. …what the fuck?’

‘Do you get a stomach ache if you follow the norms?’

‘Why is even this ‘too many skills to categorize”?’ Generally, only Apex-rank Overlords would have too many skills to

categorize.

But Isaac was clearly Adept rank.

It made no sense he had too many skills to count.
