Game Maker: Starting by Healing the Players
Chapter 811 - 811: Anyone Can Hit on Me?
As the game's story progresses, just like a traditional RPG, the protagonist has corresponding teammates besides himself.
Currently, Cloud's teammates are Tifa and Barret.
As for the AVALANCHE trio, Jessie left a deep impression on Ben's mind. Cloud was often hit on by Jessie.
But clearly, Jessie is not a member of the main party.
Otherwise, he should have been controllable during the midnight motorcycle chase scene.
Also, Jessie and the other two members of AVALANCHE were not seen in the movie "Advent Children."
In the game, players can switch between different teammates freely.
Ben has also basically figured out the game's various systems, such as equipment path choices, Materia settings, and summon settings.
Of course, besides these, there's the story, which is very important for an RPG.
As Cloud, Tifa, and Barret participated in the attack on Mako Reactor No. 5, the entire game story began to intensify.
However, unlike the previous attack on Mako Reactor No. 1, this time the attack had an accident; the Shinra Company found out about it.
And in order to use AVALANCHE's actions to strike another anti-Shinra force in Midgar, Shinra even tacitly allowed AVALANCHE's rampant destruction.
As the Mako Reactor was destroyed, Cloud fell from a high altitude.
But this time, the fall didn't kill Cloud.
Instead, Cloud accidentally landed in the Sector 5 church for the poor.
And here, Cloud met the flower girl from the beginning and learned her name: Aerith.
She is a very peculiar girl. The church where she lives is practically a paradise in Midgar.
Because in the church hall, there was a patch of lush flowers.
It's worth noting that Mako is constantly draining the life essence of the planet, making it rare to see flowers and plants in Midgar, especially in the slums.
But here, these flowers are not only lush, but also unusually resilient. Even when Cloud fell on them, they suffered no damage.
It was from getting to know Aerith that Ben found more and more mysteries appearing in his mind.
The first mystery is Aerith's identity.
Because after Cloud woke up and had a brief conversation with Aerith.
A red-haired man in a suit, followed by a large group of Shinra personnel, walked into the church.
And Ben recognized this person.
It was Reno, the Shinra elite soldier who appeared in "Advent Children."
Ben actually had a pretty good impression of this Shinra character, because in "Advent Children," Reno even risked his life to rescue a child.
Originally, Ben thought the target was Cloud, the former Shinra elite soldier who had just destroyed the Mako Reactor.
But what he didn't expect was that the target was merely Aerith, the flower girl who was only beautiful and ordinary otherwise.
And while protecting Aerith, Cloud also obtained a crucial piece of information from the Shinra soldiers.
That is, the Shinra people called Aerith an "Ancient."
This immediately made Ben certain that Aerith's identity was definitely unusual.
After that, Cloud helped Aerith return home and completed some side quests in the slums. Then, due to a conversation with Aerith's mother, Cloud decided to leave that evening, but unexpectedly ran into Aerith.
Upon learning that Cloud was leaving, Aerith told him that she knew of a secret passage in Sector 7.
On the way, they dealt with three robbers, and due to lack of time, Aerith and Cloud sat on a concrete slide, chatting about each other's lives.
And from Aerith's mouth, Ben also learned a secret: Aerith once had someone she liked, and he was also a Shinra elite soldier.
However, just as Aerith was about to say his name, Cloud's mental state became momentarily dazed, as if it had triggered a memory. At the same time, a figure appeared in his mind, but it was incredibly blurry.
Ben looked at Aerith, completely baffled, because when she said that sentence, the game had a beep sound to censor it!
What the heck, a muffled sound!
It's just a name, why censor it!
Ben was completely confused, with the sound of "beep" still echoing in his ears.
You show me this after taking off my pants?
What exactly did Aerith say!
Ben went through all the characters that had appeared in Final Fantasy so far, including all the characters from "Advent Children."
Then, well… he was very sure of one thing – he still didn't know.
After all, there was too little information.
The only thing he knew was that this person was also a Shinra elite soldier.
This, combined with the earlier mention of Shinra's Ancients.
Ben felt extremely curious about Aerith, the mysterious flower girl.
Clearly, this was a very important character in the game.
Otherwise, she wouldn't have appeared in the game's promotional videos.
Moreover, judging by Cloud's reaction, this censored character would certainly be a very important one, playing a key role in the game at least.
In the game, driven by endless curiosity, Ben continued to push the story forward.
After learning about the secret passage in Sector 7, Cloud decided to escort Aerith home first.
Then he would go back to find Tifa and the others to ensure their safety.
However, on the way back, Cloud and Aerith saw a luxurious carriage pulled by a Chocobo passing by on an empty street.
The key point was that at the back of the carriage, Cloud saw Tifa.
Unlike Tifa, who was wearing her usual neat, martial artist-like clothes,
In the carriage, Tifa was now wearing a purple evening gown and ornate earrings, and she looked stunning.
Seeing this, out of concern, Cloud immediately quietly followed the carriage.
And upon seeing Cloud, Tifa also seemed very happy: "Cloud! That's great, you're safe!"
"What's going on?" Cloud, following behind the carriage, asked Tifa in a low voice. He knew that under normal circumstances, Tifa wouldn't dress up like this.
"There's no time to explain now, but I'm going to see Don Corneo now."
"Don't worry, Cloud, you've seen my kicks, right?"
"You don't need to worry about me, Cloud!"
Faced with Tifa's persistence, Cloud could only nod.
However, compared to Cloud, who was persuaded by Tifa, Aerith next to him was much more excited.
Faced with Cloud offering to escort her home, Aerith, standing aside, disagreed.
"No, let's go save Tifa first!"
"Tifa is very strong."
"Don Corneo is a man like a snake. No matter how strong a girl is, he will slowly coil around her, then crush her heart in one go!" Aerith said very seriously.
"And Tifa is going to a place with many of Don Corneo's men."
"Cloud, she's very important to you, right!"
"So we must go save her!"
Aerith said to Cloud with a very determined look.
Looking at Aerith who was worried about Tifa, Ben in the game couldn't help but feel a little strange.
Something seemed very wrong with this character's identity!
Cloud is still the Cloud with an iron will.
Shouldn't you be the one getting agitated about this?
After all, it's you who grew up with her!
Why is Aerith more agitated than you?!
At this moment, Ben felt as if it wasn't Cloud who grew up with Tifa, but Aerith.
Given this situation, Aerith seems more concerned about Tifa!
Following Tifa's carriage to their destination, Aerith and Cloud found that Tifa was already gone.
So they had to inquire for information. After being rejected at the Honey Bee Inn nightclub for not having a reservation,
Cloud and Aerith were directed to a massage parlor called the Massage Parlor.
"Honestly, another weirdo shows up.
"Just because you're young, you think you can be so rude?
"You want to ask a favor from me? Both of you, I'll be direct.
"This is a massage parlor. If you come here, you should get a massage."
"What do you mean we're not customers? Even if you need a favor from me, you should first accept a massage as a customer."
The manager of the massage parlor, a mature woman, said angrily. But when she saw Cloud, her expression changed. She raised her hand and gently placed her fan against Cloud's chin: "What's your name?"
Why! Before she was angry at Aerith, but as soon as she saw Cloud, her tone and attitude changed!
Ben grumbled in his mind again, this game is too realistic!
Handsome men get preferential treatment?
"Cloud Strife."
"The hands of a man who is strong and powerful in combat, yet also delicate."
"Alright, Cloud, you will show your sincerity. We'll discuss the rest later."
What kind of suggestive language is this? It's just a massage!
And wasn't Cloud being hit on again?
Jessie hit on Cloud, then Tifa, then Aerith, and now the owner, and Wedge who always called him Big Brother, and Roche on his motorcycle.
And after a life-or-death battle, Barret, who clearly has a tsundere personality.
Why does it feel like everyone in the game is hitting on Cloud?
And what kind of massage is this?
The highest service fee is 3000. Before, when Barret worked himself to death to blow up the Mako Reactor, it was only this price.
Is AVALANCHE just too poor, or is the price here too high?
Thinking this, but seeing the owner's demeanor, Ben obediently chose the third highest option, 3000.
Can't help it, he has money!
And he was inexplicably a little excited to see how Cloud would be treated.
Ben in the game continued to complain and look forward to what would happen next.
In fact, many pieces of content in this section were enriched by Lucas.
He referenced the performance of the remake from his previous life more, because in the original version, the plot related to Don Corneo was a bit too rushed and not very rich.
And there were some parody plots that were popular at the time, such as Cloud entering a room in the Honey Bee Inn, and a group of gay people dragging Cloud to bathe, all squeezed into a large bathtub, and saying lustful lines.
The reason why Cloud had so many doujinshi in his previous life was undoubtedly related to these parody plots.
Also, at Don Corneo's mansion at the end of this section, you would have to choose one of Aerith, Tifa, or cross-dressing Cloud to stay behind. The trigger condition was based on these side quests related to makeup and clothing.
This content was removed in the later remake and replaced with a single storyline.
Lucas, on the other hand, chose to retain the collection of different choices for Cloud, Aerith, and Tifa in Version A, but removed some of the gag mini-games.
