83 You Are Indeed Very Welcome
Once they rested enough and rethought their plan, Jiang Ming suggested they take the path that didn’t show any signs of the Silk Spiders.
“Let’s explore this one and if it’s still a dead end, then we might have to halt our plan for now.” Jiang Ming said.
Yuan Chunhua agreed with his suggestions.
It would be unwise to take a path while fully knowing it’s dangerous and not worth the risk.
“I wonder how the other students are faring now…” She muttered, seemingly concerned with their safety.
Meanwhile, Jiang Ming almost stumbled in his path when he heard her muttering.
‘Instructor Yuan Chunhua, you should just forget about them.’ He thought.
Based on his understanding with Qi Shan, he was sure that the students are all annihilated with none being spared unless they can entertain her.
Sometime later, Yuan Chunhua heard a creaking noise and quickly latched onto Jiang Ming.
“What are you doing, Instructor Yuan Chunhua?” Jiang Ming asked as he stared at her arms that were wrapping around his.
“Are you trying to take advantage of me now that it’s pretty dark and no one can see your action?”.
“What nonsense are you spouting, Jiang Ming?” Yuan Chunhua quickly released her grips and backed off from him.
However, there was a clear redness on her cheeks, indicating how embarrassed she was.
She was the dignified instructor but was frightened by a small creaking noise and had to latch onto Jiang Ming, looking for safety.
Meanwhile, Jiang Ming didn’t bother saying anything, but his eyes were locked on her, almost like those snipers scoping into their targets.
“S-Stop staring at me!”
“Hmm, What do you mean?”
“You’re literally eyeing me up and down!”
Jiang Ming shrugged his shoulders.
“That’s just your imagination, Instructor Yuan Chunhua.” He said and decided to pin point his focus on her two great assets on her bosom.
Yuan Chunhua covered her chest and gritted her teeth.
“Fine, it’s my fault, did you really have to act like this?” She shouted angrily.
Suddenly, Jiang Ming covered her mouth and pushed her to a nearby wall.
“Shh, don’t shout,” he whispered softly, prompting her to stop struggling.
ROOOOOOAR!
Just when they had stayed silent, a loud roar echoed throughout the hidden cave, causing it to tremble heavily.
Jiang Ming held a solemn expression as he perked his ears up to listen for the direction of the roar.
Of course, it was difficult to locate it, considering how many paths are available in the hidden cave.
Not to mention, there was sound echoing from every direction.
Time slowly passed by, and the loud roaring had eventually subsided, returning it to the usual calm and silent atmosphere.
“Psst, the roaring stopped already. Can you let me move already?” Yuan Chunhua said in a low but subtle tone.
She was still being pinned down by Jiang Ming to a wall, and if others were to see their current scene, they would definitely think they were doing something very naughty.
They were so close that their lips were almost touching, and her bosom was directly touching his.
“My bad, I didn’t know you were still here,” Jiang Ming half-heartedly replied.
While moving away, he would accidentally touch her slender waist and butt.
“Whoops, it was too cramped there, so accidents happen.” He said cheekily.
“You have become way too gutsy, Jiang Ming.” Yuan Chunhua was not a bit amused by his play and crossed her arms.
“You actually have the audacity to try and molest your instructor now? In the past, you didn’t even dare to glance at me when I’m lecturing you.”
Jiang Ming raised an eyebrow.
“You’re dreaming, Instructor Yuan Chunhua.” He said and turned around.
“Let’s go, I have located the source of the voice and it should most likely belong to that unknown liquid substance.”
Afterward, he started walking away, leaving Yuan Chunhua speechless.
‘This damn Jiang Ming… what happened to him after that incident?’ She wondered silently.
Sometime later, Yuan Chunhua reluctantly followed the lead of Jiang Ming as they went through a narrow path.
“Careful, make sure to not drench your shoes in the water up ahead,” Jiang Ming warned and pointed at the water.
“The unknown substance that we’re chasing has dipped on it, but the water hasn’t vaporized. That could only mean the water is now filled with acidity and a misstep on it could result in a dire circumstance.” He added.
Yuan Chunhua nodded her head.
With the careful warning from Jiang Ming, Yuan Chunhua made sure to watch her footstep as they walked on forward slowly.
Of course, the narrow path made it difficult for them to proceed, and occasionally, Yuan Chunhua would have her hand clutching on the back of Jiang Ming.
If it were any normal condition, Jiang Ming would surely tease the hell out of her.
However, they weren’t, and Jiang Ming was in full serious mode.
Every step he took, he made sure it was safe for them.
After a while, Jiang Ming paused his footstep as he held a grim expression.
“What should we do now, Jiang Ming?” Yuan Chunhua asked when she realized the path up ahead is filled with bubbling water.
There was not a single area for them to advance, and retreating now would make all their previous effort pointless.
“Seems like that’s the stealthiest move we can do,” Jiang Ming shook his head and sighed softly.
“What do you mean?”
“It means that I’m about to vaporize the water myself, and thus, alerting that dumb unknown substance.”
“You could have vaporized the water from the get-go?” Yuan Chunhua was dumbfounded.
She had been clutching onto him for balance, but he could have made the path clearer from the beginning.
What was the point of their meticulous walking then?
“You are indeed very welcome since I allowed you to have a taste of what it means to rely on someone.” Jiang Ming said with a bright smile.
Afterward, he snapped his finger to bring out the Moonstow Flame and began to vaporize the toxic water.
